So Liverpool are looking "at options" for January. My guess is Amrabat is one of those options.

Might as well just set fire to £40m as buy Amrabat.

Would definitely help but all of a sudden an attacker is priority as jota out, diaz out, with no guarantee they come back this season an if they do they can't come back full pelt as they have suffered serious injuries, Bobby is also injured we could do with an attacker that is reliable and can play all 3 positions up front.

Hailstones mate scoring goals isn't our problem hence need to fix midfield before thinking about other positions.

4.) 23 Dec 2022

I’d rather have a midfielder.

In fairness to hailstones, we are very very light in attack. Jota and Diaz are out for a good two to three months, Firmino has picked up a knock and will probably continue to have minor niggles. Ox will likely injure himself in a warm up and even if he doesn’t, he’s hardly reliable as a forward. As for midfield the less said the better. I can see us putting our messages to the media that the club see no value in the market and that Arthur and Keita will be like new signings. Before making another supermarket sweep trolly dash at the end of the window for someone utterly terrible on loan from Juventus or overpaying for Amrabat just because of his World Cup performances, only to regret it when inevitably he can’t keep up with the pace of the premier league and being in a team that doesn’t camp on its own 18 yard box or his injuries catch up with him and he joins Keita in the treatment room. Standard ?.

Might as well poke your eyes out, pour in petrol and set light to it as pay any attention to any post by Victor, EVER!

If we bought a prime Messi, he’d be whinging about it - “yes, but he’s rubbish in goal…. ”.

7.) 23 Dec 2022

2 midfielders.

Ox is rubbish. Can’t wait to see the back of him. He’s stole a wage for the last 5 years or however long he’s been injured for.

Zeddicus, that’s false equivalency. Amrabat is an incredibly mediocre journeyman midfielder who had a few good games in the World Cup, nothing more nothing less. Any club buying him is making a mistake.

Five clubs makes you a journeyman? So that means Mo Salah is a journeyman. Excellent.

Buying a player because they played well in the World Cup is not a good strategy. You have to look at the body of work, . International football is MUCH different. Very dangerous to buy a player based on international duty.

I will rephrase my opinion we definitely need 2 midfielders in January, because all of them even thiago is a tackle or stride away from injury as for the others not good enough .
The other issue up front definitely needs addressing the injuries are serious and we need another quality attacker, if we are serious we will address these positions.

Nice false equivalency there T Bird. Two of Salah’s clubs were as part of Chelsea’s loan army, so no comparison at all. Amrabat would be a terrible signing end of. World Cup hype and nothing more.

14.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 01:56:40
But we have Darwin "Caroll" Nunez!

15.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 06:44:11
Amrabat is exactly what we need.

Complacency is one of our big problems.

Competition for places. This guy will help provide that.

"Just based on one World Cup" bla bla bla. Funny, we were tracking him before November . . .

16.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 07:39:50
Sorry vvvv but Salah played for Basel, Chelsea, Roma and Liverpool which is hardly a false equivalency is it?

The fact people are talking about signing another forward due to our current injuries is total insanity. This in spite of the fact all of these people who’ve been saying we need 2-3 new midfielders and ideally 2 of those on Jan.

It’s football manager and fifa at its best ??‍♂️.

Diaz is a massive blow. and jota to be fair. But how is bobby injured again?

24 Dec 2022 10:30:23
Love that we've already decided that it's going to be Amrabat, and that Amrabat is rubbish, even though I'm pretty sure most people on here have never seen him kick a ball outside of the World Cup.

19.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 11:21:39
Not true SR. I've been watching him since he started at Marrakesh Rovers u8's.

20.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 11:44:31
So you would be against signing a forward. We have Dias and Jota who are both made of crisps (VVVV) and Firmino who is hit and miss. A striker who can’t finish and are left with Salah who goes missing for large chunks of a game but at least is never injured. We with out doubt need another top quality forward.

21.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 13:30:58
Signing another forward in jan? Yes, I would 100% be against that when midfield so clearly needs to be the priority. You cannot stockpile players because a couple of your squad are injured for a month or two, it’s moronic.

22.) 24 Dec 2022
24 Dec 2022 14:35:47
Diaz is made of crisps? What utter nonsense! Jota seems to pick up fair share of injuries but Diaz, give your head a wobble!

24 Dec 2022 20:06:20
@VVVV

Kick back and listen to some Doom over Xmas brother?

Bigger things going in most of our lives.

Festive blessings to us all?.

24.) 25 Dec 2022
25 Dec 2022 06:49:21
It was a joke about VVVV’s favourite saying Oraujo. But he hasn’t been much use this season and who’s to say he will come back the same player? Could be the start of an injury ridden career you never know he plays for Liverpool so it is highly likely. Obviously hope not, we need reinforcements in attack as well as midfield.

Was going to say Lavish, haha. He’ll be fine and back firing in no time! Merry xmas to all!
