£42m bid for Caicedo rejected, apparently.

We’ll that’s some profit for Brighton if true, they only paid £4.5m for him.

Not seen enough of him to comment really but that sounds like a large amount of cash for someone who played just 12 games in the PL….

[Jamolestina]: About Moisés Caicedo and his future I was able to learn the following: - Brighton is not going to sell it this season, it is ESSENTIAL for the 2022-2023 season project.

Brighton have had a great start to the season and have already made around £100m this window in sales.

I don't think they'll feel any pressure to sell.

Maxx, depending on if the player wants a move.

Graham Potter said yesterday " 42 million may well get his boots". No chance of that happening .

Potter may be off to Villa sometime soon if Stevie Me carries on talking such rhubarb after getting p. poor results.

“In terms of moving forward we have got a choice. We either feel sorry for ourselves and it continues, or we roll our sleeves up. ” Gerrard is a regular proponent of such pseudo-motivational gabble. His team, lacking in creativity and relying too much on the magic in Philippe Coutinho’s boots, too often mirror such bland platitudes.

We need a mid 20’s proven world class midfielder not overpaying and spending millions on unproven youngsters who block our own youngsters progression. Given we can’t get ox and Keita wages off the bill, it’s not looking likely we’ll sign anyone we need so we should avoid a desperate signing and look to the January window if needed / next summer. Hopefully Fabinho will get into his rhythm. .

I’d like Conor Gallagher. I know he’s started poorly for Chelsea, but don’t think he’s a 2 man midfield guy. I’m a three though he presses non stop, scores and creates, and seems Chelsea may be getting rid.

Conor Gallagher is over rated, he’s a mid table player at best. There’s a waste of money waiting for some poor sap silly enough to give Chelsea any wedge. One good-ish season at Palace where he was largely covered by two midfielders doing the dirty work isn’t enough to warrant interest. He isn’t the quickest either in thought or on foot and is poor defensively as has been shown up horribly when given any level of defensive responsibility. I know we’re apparently desperate but surely it can’t be that bad?

{Ed001's Note - he is a very good player in the kind of role we use Henderson in, but Tuchel is not intelligent enough to understand that and is trying to shoehorn him into a position he is entirely unsuited to. It would be like playing Virgil at full-back, he might get away with it in some games, but it would not play to his strengths and most of the time he would look awful.}

I rate Gallagher. I wouldn't mind us moving for him if he were to become available. I swear Tuchel has done a lot of shoehorning while at Chelsea. A lot of players are wasted there.

I think he’s just what we need - box to box, will go for a big fee next season.

We paid £64m for Darwin and he'd played no games in the PL.

Darwin hasn’t played in PL? Can we get his red card rescinded then!?

I like Gallagher too, cracking player. He reminds me of Harvey Elliot but with output. ?.

Gallagher would be an unbelievable signing for us. Will never happen unfortunately.
