I work for several local premiership players and have it on good authority that resuming the season at neutral grounds hinges on the opening of airports for the safe transport of players and also policing grounds potentially if LFC win the league how can they stop fans turning up?

1.) 09 May 2020 11:20:09
This is the wrong page. Liverpool don't play in the Premiership.

2.) 09 May 2020 18:52:27
When did the airports close?

Loads or people dissing Italy on here earlier. get on them at 4-1 they're going to win it!

{Ed0666's Note - I hope they do for you’re sake mate. My hairdresser has promised me a free haircut if they win.

1.) 02 Jul 2021 22:16:32
Italy are by far the best team in the tournament, let's hope spinazzola is ok.

{Ed025's Note - i think they will win it MR, but i do hope spinazzola,s injury is nothing trivial mate..

2.) 02 Jul 2021 22:17:15
OP, haven’t seen anyone dissing Italy on here, mate. They have been by far and away the best team at the Euros from day one and they are as fit a team now as they were then playing free flowing, high press football. And anyone dissing them should lay off the bitters. It’s embarrassing.

{Ed025's Note - they really are a breath of fresh air oli..

3.) 02 Jul 2021 23:07:45
Sly Sports saying his torn his achillies and his tournament is over. They might feel that, he was a constant outlet for them in that game.

4.) 02 Jul 2021 23:43:32
Usual Italian antics as far as football is concerned though, diving about and general s***housery.
Drive me mad, glorious one minute and con artists the next.
I really want England to turn them lot over.

5.) 03 Jul 2021 00:50:38
Have you not seen the way the likes of Grealish and Kane throw themselves to the ground Juicer?

6.) 03 Jul 2021 00:52:14
It’s just gamesmanship, juicer, and it’s not against the rules. In fact, England should play a bit more streetwise I reckon- it’s needed to win.

The most Italian thing I saw in the game was that feller giving someone in the crowd his stinky shorts hahahaha.

{Ed0666's Note - didn’t realize giving you’re sweaty shorts to the fans is stereotypicaly Italian?

7.) 03 Jul 2021 01:35:28
Kane doesn't dive smp, that's clever forward play.

8.) 03 Jul 2021 02:16:12
Norman Hunter had it right with the Italians lol.

9.) 03 Jul 2021 09:00:00
Tommy Smith did it better. (on the pitch rather than off it)

10.) 03 Jul 2021 09:42:30
Diving and feigning injury is cheating whoever does it, end of.

11.) 03 Jul 2021 12:00:51
I backed them at 11-1 before the tournament started so I wouldn't bet on them if I were you lads, I'm cursed!

12.) 03 Jul 2021 13:45:50
Italy are very stylish and beautiful to watch.

17 Jun 2021 20:08:23
All those people who criticised Wijnaldum for his sideways safe footy just watch him for his country. Until you know what the manager asked of him and what his brief was you have no right to lambast him.

1.) 17 Jun 2021 20:15:33
I'm pretty sure Klopp didn't tell Gini to keep it vanilla Jonesy.

2.) 17 Jun 2021 21:04:55
I'm pretty sure no one here "criticised" him for sideways or safe football, in fact most sent him off with best wishes and thanked him for everything he did for the club. There are those who have suggested he played within himself when he good have been even better for us but no one is begrudging him, football fans love dealing in hyperboles.

3.) 17 Jun 2021 21:43:44
It’s nothing new we’ve always known he plays more dynamic for Holland. But he scored two goals at the Kop end vs Barcelona so who cares what he does in orange.

4.) 17 Jun 2021 21:53:18
I’d still rather it was Keita leaving than Gini.

5.) 17 Jun 2021 21:56:44
There’s been quite a lot of criticism, some of it going into ill-feeling, of Wijnaldum, at times and especially this past season IronDan.
He plays further forward for the Dutch whereas at Liverpool he covered all the midfield positions.
It was poor management of him by Liverpool ultimately I feel, they should have sold him instead of keeping a discontented player whose heart was clearly unsettled and unhappy and who ran his contract down in the end.
Very strange, and I don’t think he deserved that.
I think he wanted to stay but the money was invested in to Thiago.
I was a great admirer of him anyway and tonight he showed his quality.

6.) 17 Jun 2021 22:42:47
Been a good player for us but you’d have to be blind as a bat to not see that he wasn’t even doing the footballing basics for us after christmas. Interesting now that he turns up for the Netherlands he suddenly isn’t ‘tired’ anymore. Even more interesting that a handful of decent performances on the international stage (infamously an unreliable barometer of player ability) have somehow negated all of the frustrations anyone felt towards Gini during his time here.

I’ve seen some hilarious cases of ‘Match of the Day’ fever on this site before but never one directed to one of our own players who only left a matter of days ago.

7.) 17 Jun 2021 22:44:45
Makes you wonder how he would have done if he had been given the role Ox, Keita and Shaqiri in the advanced midfield position played. But anyways, he's gone and it's history now and I wish him continued success at PSG. I for one do praise him for many performances but then you can't get away from the fact that during many games he was nowhere to be seen. I'm sure he will say that he perfected his tenacity and skill at protecting and keeping the ball at Liverpool, regardless of what position he was playing.

The overwhelming fact though is that the midfield Klopp devised worked. The proof is in the pudding; finishing second (one point behind ManC), winning the UCL, winning the title after three decades, amongst others. We were flying high for 3 years and Wijnaldum was part of it.

Now let's see who Klopp brings in and what new midfield he is going to devise.

8.) 18 Jun 2021 00:43:52
Anonymous Woolback said we weren’t allowed to talk about Gini anymore.

9.) 18 Jun 2021 08:36:46
He's just another of these players who plays far better for his country than for his employers!

10.) 18 Jun 2021 12:29:37
Makes you wonder how he would’ve done if he’d played further forward?! He won the CL, PL, ESC and the WCC playing where he played so I think he did ok!
I also don’t get the criticism from last season either. He may have been below his usual level but so was the whole team for at least 3 months. He was just an easy target because we all knew he was leaving.
I think he found it very hard being the only first choice midfielder left with Fabs at the back and Hendo injured. Even when Hendo played he played at the back too so in a decimated midfield Gini bore the brunt of everyone’s frustrations because he hadn’t signed a new contract.
End of the day he was brilliant for us and helped us to be the best team in Europe for at least 2 years.
I don’t know the details of his contract negotiations but he obviously wasn’t offered what he wanted so he left. Good luck to him and thanks for the memories Gini. Barcelona especially!

How is Youri Djorkaeff still playing football?
I'm sure I had his Panini sticker back in the 70's?

1.) 12 Jun 2021 23:53:21
I saw him play live once, his Kaiserslautern team played Kilmarnock in a UEFA game back in 99 or 2000, he was amazing.

2.) 13 Jun 2021 09:39:14
You sure you've not confused him with Yuri Zhirkov? He's about 15 years younger and Russian. French player Youri Djorkaeff retired in 2006 according to Google.

3.) 13 Jun 2021 10:13:16
Might have been a joke because Youri Tielemans was playing for Belgium last night?

4.) 13 Jun 2021 11:13:53
Yuri Zhirkov was playing for Russia for about half an hour too. Probably was a joke but you never know 😂.

5.) 13 Jun 2021 14:07:52
what a joke on a banter site?

6.) 13 Jun 2021 14:14:02
Zhirkovs still playing? He must be about 40!

7.) 13 Jun 2021 14:19:05
Someone said joke?

Did you know that Yul Brynner was a lifelong Liverpool fan, but he never wore aftershave.

That’s right, Yul never wore cologne

8.) 13 Jun 2021 14:25:45
Sorry did mean Yuri Zhirkov.

{Ed002's Note - yes}

29 May 2021 22:09:34

{Ed0666's Note - clearly wasn’t a blue moon

1.) 30 May 2021 02:25:25

22 May 2021 18:45:04
To the Eds, let's have a positive day tomorrow. I appreciate everyone has their own mind but let's all get behind the lads/ ppsitive thinking and all that. No negative nancy posts please.
Cant wait for game would fast forward my life if I could.

{Ed014's Note - I’ll be cheering you on with Mrs 14 jonesy!

1.) 22 May 2021 19:29:40
All going well you could be on a promise Ed014😉.

{Ed014's Note - my thoughts exactly Barry! 🤞🏼😛🤣

2.) 22 May 2021 19:41:18
It will be a huge disappointment if we fail to win tomorrow
After everything that we have gone through this season, finishing in the top four would be a decent achievement.
I can't even pick a player of the year, and that's not because we had so many that were really good.
Win tomorrow and we can start next season on a high.

3.) 22 May 2021 19:52:02
Make Trent captain in your fantasy team tomorrow he will be MOTM i've had a premonition.

4.) 22 May 2021 20:47:27
Very confident 3-1 to the red men.

5.) 22 May 2021 20:57:35
Can almost guarantee Origi will score if he gets on the pitch. He always does last day of the season!

6.) 22 May 2021 21:06:05
I'm on 4-0 with salah to score each half.

7.) 22 May 2021 21:32:43
Alisson to score the winner 95th minute😂.

8.) 22 May 2021 22:02:28
Mane to score and get some redemption, for me. The little runt has misbehaved in recent times, but it's only football, after all.

9.) 22 May 2021 22:14:04
Imagine calling Sadio Mane a runt after everything he has done for the club. People like you make me sick.

10.) 22 May 2021 22:29:13
Yeh right, wind your neck in Aray, unbelievably disrespectful.

11.) 23 May 2021 03:19:29
Seriously after the season we just had top 4 for me will be as good as the champs league win. but either way I will still be here heere with my hope glass waiting to be filled and if it isn't i will support them in the Europa League, hell I would support them if they was league 4 and nothing to play for, Red until I die, no matter what journey it takes us on.

12.) 23 May 2021 06:35:11
yeah eds, can ya cut out all your negative crap hahaha

let's go the boys!

{Ed0666's Note - come on redmen you can score 145 goals in the first 20 minutes. How’s that for positivity??

13.) 23 May 2021 07:00:01
The feeling is more than mutual Thunderbird. I was jokingly calling him a runt, even though I'm fully aware what he represents for the team. Anyway. Do you think you matter?

14.) 23 May 2021 08:40:56
Aray how dare you have a little banter on a banter site. You little rascal you.

15.) 23 May 2021 09:57:39
It's a slow Sunday JK23, what can i say, LOL.

16.) 23 May 2021 11:26:04
Difficult one to call as Paiace won’t want a repeat of the bartering we gave them before, but equally if we score early I can see us putting a few past them.

I'm completely gutted for TAA if that's true. but let's not wish the whole England team fail for christs sake its the only footy we've got until August. I've not felt the same about England teams since 96 but I'll still cheer them on against any team in Europe especially since the Eurovision fiasco.
