Sad day today after the match yesterday,
I was wondering about Xhaka at bundesliga. Do you know if liverpool shows interst in him for a summer trasfer!
I tried the search and found a lot about january but not if we actually are looking at him at al?

{Ed002's Note - Granit Xhaka signed a new long-term contract but there was interest from Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Inter in January.Borussia Monchengladbach Previous interest from Stoke and Everton is gone. Newcastle, Valencia, Manchester City, Spurs, Napoli and Arsenal have scouted the player this season and any would likely continue that interest with a bid if he were available. I can completely discount Inter at this time and although interested Atletico are needing to plan very carefully knowing that they have a significant issue on the horizon. Borussia Monchengladbach made it very clear that he would not move in January and that is what was told to Napoli when they made an approach to the club. I am not aware of Liverpool either directly tapping up the player nor approaching his father as the Liverpool fans have been suggesting. In the coming months we will likely see Arsenal and Napoli posturing regarding Xhaka.}

{Ed002's Note - There has been interest in taking players on loan - Allan and Allen. There was interest in Sakho but that has gone has his performances have dropped away. There has been interest in Sinclair and he might well go - but he will by now thinking about signing on fees so whether or not something can happen in the coming days is to be seen. Given the vastly bloated first team squad the club need to look for sales or loans if they can.}

Hi eds. Might be a foolish question but what about Charlie Austin in Qpr. Is there any interest from anyone or Liverpool. Making so many points for such a bad club as Qpr makes him interesting I think.

Just want to comment on what a story it is, brick layer to premier league goalscorer. albeit for QPR but surely the lad deserves a chance, not saying for Liverpool but just a decent club that guarantees premier league security because there's no doubting his talent.

Luis had issues. Ballotelli has writen books on his issues. At the end of the day, Austin's a natural goalscorer n Borini, Balotelli are (choose your own ending).
We should be at least scouting him. Do we still have scouts at the club ?

Am i the only one that think Benteke can be good for LFC. I know he hasn't been at his best or even good at al these last game but don't you think he can adapt?
Can a proper preseason with Klopp make him adapt better?

Benteke not a bad st u just need to use him right . he's not going to be a player like firminho who will press but he can get u a goal out of the blue.

You can encourage it, but if he can't do it, it's either laziness, lack of fitness or both. It's not like he needs to save his energy for whatever else he does.

He seems to have lost so much confidence. I don't remember seeing a succesful striker look so lost without having an injury, it is worse than Torres in his Chelsea days.
I thought he started the season not bad, not amazing maybe, but not bad, had a couple of quality goals, one great header from the end of the box, one great shot from outside the box, he didn't lose many balls and was the first for every ball in the air.
Now it is sad to watch him at times. Occasionaly he will still give a good pass, he is still better passer than most of our other forwards, but nothing other than that. He can get a ball in front of an open goal and will still miss. His movement is not great. He mainly look like he is not understanding our game and where he should be.
He suffered I think from Origi and Sturridge being injured, maybe as a second striker there would be less pressure on him (had we played two upfront which we didn't anyway though) and the expectations probably and the pressure of a big club when things didn't go well and him being dropped to the bench and Firmino preferred on him as a striker all didn't help. I don't buy all the lazy accusations. He is maybe not great in pressing but a lot of strikers aren't. For me it is still a big mystery what happened to him after being so prolific in AV - and their style wasn't that different to us even if they didn't press and had a bit more of a wide game.
It happens to some strikers with us unfortuantely. we saw it with Balo and Lambert last year. We have very poor service to our strikers and very little threat on goal other than them so it makes it easy to mark them.
I hope I am wrong but I don't see a future for him with us and I hope (though worried) for him, that he can recover his career elsewhere becuase he is very talented footballer.

Agree with Fency, these are bentekes problems plus he's not the best finisher in front of goal. He's just not that good a striker, good enough squad player though.

To be fair, when you are off form you start doing things you normally don't do to try and get back into the groove and it can make things that much worse. Sometimes while trying to dig yourself out of a hole you just dig further in!

I as a Swede i was wondering if you know anything about Oscar Wendt the left back? He is having a great season in Germany and should have some scouting eyes on him?

In my opinion its al about balance in the team wich i don't think BR managed during his time with Aspan.
Aspas in a different team with a different modell scores goals. just se him now in Spain.
Same with Soldado hench buy players who fit the modell of your team!
BR lost his modell and couldn't find a proper place for Aspas.
Thats my opinion.

I know that managers have a greater insight on how players preform during trainging but a lot of the players talkt about above are not bad signings in my opinion if used in a different way then in Liverpool. Look at Aspas still scoring in Spain.
