I found tan article that was published in may 2016. It states
Liverpool being lined up for £700m Middle Eastern takeover by 'secret' Sheikh billionaire
Sheikh Mansour's wealthier half-brother, Sheikh Khalifa, who is the current president of the United Arab Emirates and is rumoured to be worth in excess of £30bn, is thought to be the man behind the negotiations of Liverpool takeover ( Daily Star)

That's old news mate that was from December 2015, and it comes from when j henry and other from fsg, were seen in Dubai or Qatar in September 2015, the talk was they were visiting but we all know they were looking for investment, maybe naming rights on new stand or ground . but time will tell.

Hello all, Eds and Reds
Not sure how many carp anglers there are on here, I am one myself and go to France a couple of times a year fishing.
A complex where we go is called Dream Lakes and a friend of mine is there at the moment.
He is fishing with his son and two swims along is young Brannigan. They have been talking and have had a brew together. Brannigan has also had a kick about with my friends son which is really great.
Being a big LFC fan, my mate text me and sent in photos, he said Brannigan is so down to earth.
I did ask him if he knew anything regarding Couthino and he reckons he will stay with us. Interestingly enough, Brannigan has also been approached by Barcelona!
I don't very often start posts but thought this was quite interesting and the fact he's be playing footie on the bank with my mates son. I think it's brilliant.

He has been on Barcelona's radar for while and they have been watching his contract negotiations as recently as the last several weeks.

Why on earth would I make something like this up Hoola? Just check back on my posting history and you will find It's not in my nature whatsoever. He's there, in France, Carp angling.
It's a shame I can't post pictures my mate sent me a lovely photo of Brannigan signing his young son's Liverpool shirt.

Surprised it's take so long for the fishy jokes.
To be fair, I'm quite disappointed. I've met a good number of LFC players both past and present but none of the younger crop of players.
I used to go the the same complex in France twice a year and would have been there myself but for having to cut back on expenditure. I now have a two year old lad so the cost of my LFC season ticket and 2 trips to France each year was getting a bit much.

Clearly not an awful player. However he is more injury prone than Sturridge. Only 22 but I wouldn't take a gamble after yet another knee injury!

Absolutely shockingly bad player everytime I've seen him. Poor decision making, one paced and poor delivery. As bad as Walcott in my book only without the pace.

Southampton's youth academy have only produced one decent winger and he was brought through as a LB. I wouldn't want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he has not progressed to where Arsenal expected him to be as is the case with Theo Walcott.

{Ed001's Note - Bale played as much on the wing as at the back while in their academy. In fact, when Wenger asked someone (I think it was Liam Brady off the top of my head) to go and scout Theo Walcott, the report told him to forget Walcott and get the lad playing on the left wing instead - Bale.}

I will prefer a Chinese buyer over Arab ones. From commercial point of view, Asia and China and hugely untap market and these people are ready for BPL. A few BPL clubs have venture in but none big time yet. And the Chinese aren't afriad to splash the cash, look for a aging jackson martinez is sold to china club for 45mil euros! With chinese financial muscle, we could add that few quality cogs into our Klopp machine and we will be flying. And be assured tge chinese are very concern about 'face', the signing will be top top notch we are talking about Suarez class of players coming in, no more those 'potential' to be groomed. By the Liverpool will be known as top of food chain club that buy great players, ( nope, we no longer made great players because now we have the money to buy them! )
It is good that we ride coat tail of china super power early and get Liverpool brand in, in a few yrs time, china brands will be all over your daily gadgets.
Arab owners on other hand tend to be more miserly than you think e. g Arsenal.

Leek, you make me laugh with your facts, I'm going to drop you a hint now and use Google before you post, I think you'll find Arsenal is owned by an American, Stan Kroenke, who is the majority shareholder and a Russian billionaire called Alisher Usmanov and not as you said Arabs.
