Hi Ed's is there any interest from other clubs in Clyne and Wisdom?

Also with Sevilla selling Immobile do you think they will bid for Alberto?

Many thanks in advance?

{Ed002's Note - There is no interest I am aware of in either Wisdom or Clyne right now. Sevilla might be interested in LA at the right price.}

1.) 28 Jul 2016 01:24:18
Thanks Ed much appreciated!

If the fee for Smith is true then wow, to think he was out of contract and resigned for us little over a year ago!

Good business if he does leave.

23 Jan 2016 10:23:44
Hi Ed's; a while ago it was stated that we would let Allen leave if a suitable offer came in; is this still the situation (I presume a sell rather than a loan)?

I've seen comments in the press (i know I know) and checked the search facility but can't find anything new on this subject.

Many thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - Swansea approached Liverpool in respect of taking Joe Allen on loan - it was rebuffed.}

1.) 24 Jan 2016 09:20:07
Eds do you think if Swansea came in with a reasonable offer to buy that that would make a difference?

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to whatif questions.}

15 Aug 2015 23:23:16
Hi Eds,

You've mentioned a couple of times about Allen and Swansea being a good move - do you know what Allen thinks - would he prefer to move or stay?

{Ed001's Note - he wants to prove himself with us, there is a feeling that going back is like admitting you aren't good enough. So it is difficult for him, because he did genuinely love it at Swansea and would like to go back there, but not with his tail between his legs as a failure.}

A friend of mine has links to MK Dons and says Liverpool are in talks over Deli Ali - nothing agreed just in talks.

I asked him what type of player he was and his words (not mine) is that he can play either holding or attacking midfield and believes he is a very skillful player with lots of energy (in terms of if we are playing a closing down opposition players system).

He believes he is a really good player and might make it onto the bench or into some of the cup games squads if he was to sign.

He also knew Sheyi Ojo but remembers him as a central midfielder who could control games; he thinks he plays slightly more cautious for Liverpool (saying that he only turns 17 tomorrow - so Happy Birthday Sheyi).

Banter please Ed's

Firstly I thought akexander arnold had a good game but for me Lucas was man of the match.

Have you seen Origi's comments on Woodburn? seriously I really like this player - I love Klopp more.

Not the greatest of games but we still won, a few years ago we wouldn't have.

I feel proud to be a Liverpool supporter at the moment.

I'm really hoping g Ojo is fit soon and gets an opportunity.

Over and out.

If you want to use radio yalk you should know that;

Over; when requesting response
Out; when dialogue finished

Just a quick lesson for you.

Thanks Chrisp, much appreciated, I bet Christmas at yours will be as fun as ever this year . ;o)

Banter please.

In lieu of our next draw or (whatever you believe in God, Gods anything else) forbid a loss.

Can you confirm the number of teams in the last 50 years that have picked up maximum points in every game and won the league?

To my knowledge only aresnal have remained undefeated for a season and that included draws - 1 every in every 3 games = think about that ;o)

1.) 23 Nov 2016 06:40:54
Think Milan and Juventus have both went through a league campaign undefeated - Milan's in the 91/ 92 season being especially creditable the standard of Serie A at that time being very, very high. Juve's in 11/ 12 is not quite as impressive given the quality of Serie A at that time.

2.) 23 Nov 2016 07:12:14
Preston North End did it when I were a lad int' good ole days.

3.) 23 Nov 2016 09:30:21
Ron must be older than Ed025 then ☺️.

{Ed001's Note - only Ed003 is older than Ed025. Ed003 is older than time itself.}

4.) 23 Nov 2016 13:27:17
That AC Milan team of 91/ 92 was really something. I flew down to see a couple of games. Ancelotti was in that team; Maldini, Rijkaard and Gullit too. And Van Basten's last season. Magical times.

5.) 23 Nov 2016 15:01:21
That AC Milan team had legends almost all over the pitch. From the back four (Maldini, Costacurta, Baresi and Tassotti) who were all starts in the Italian national team, to Donadoni, Gullit, and Rijkaard in midfield, to the great Marco Van Basten in attack and with Marco Simone and Demetreo Albertini as youngsters coming up. That team went 58 league games unbeaten until a free kick from Asprilla for Parma ended it in 92/ 93 season. That team was the reason I support Milan even till today.

6.) 23 Nov 2016 17:23:28
I really admired that ac milan team, was a fan of van basten and gullit, remember the van basten volley from an extremely acute angle that went in the top corner, excellent player. Second best dutch player ever behind cryuff of course.

7.) 23 Nov 2016 19:24:43
Funny you mention that, Barnez because Marco is considered the 2nd best player ever to come out of the revered Ajax academy, after Cruyff. And strongly considered as simply, the best and most complete CF to ever play the game, period. He and/ or the Brazilian Ronaldo own that spot, IMO.

02 Aug 2016 08:38:19
Ojo always seems to be involved in either scoring the goals or assisting, end of last season, U19's Euros (I think he was involved in all but one or two of the goals) and again in the last few matches.

I hope we don't send him on loan and give him time to develop under Klopp.

1.) 02 Aug 2016 09:13:28
i have a feeling we may see more of Ojo this season, don't think Klopps going to send him out on loan.

2.) 02 Aug 2016 12:32:54
Looks a bright talent. Hopfuly Klopp will keep him in the squad and develop him into a top drawer player.

20 Jul 2016 22:48:40
Anyone willing to give a brief update on the game? Who played well, how we played as a team, how the new boys integrated into the team?

1.) 20 Jul 2016 23:03:13
Shamal George was a surprise. Moreno was selfish not letting him take the penalty, that would have been cool.

2.) 20 Jul 2016 23:15:08
Grujic, Mane and Karius were the players for me. all 3 look class.

3.) 20 Jul 2016 23:32:43
Mané had a perfectly good goal ruled out.
Mané and Firmino combined to cross for Grujic who controlled the ball on the far edge of the penalty area then slammed home a left footed half volley 1-0.
Mané fouled by the keeper and Coutinho's penalty is saved.
Kent fouled in the last minute by the full back. Moreno scores the penalty.

Mané was busy, Firmino played well and Grujic is a belter.

4.) 20 Jul 2016 23:47:05
Mane and Grujic were impressive.

5.) 20 Jul 2016 23:59:27
The front 3 of mane coutinho firminho is going to be to hot for some teams this season and safe to say migs will have to really up his game.

6.) 21 Jul 2016 00:06:05
Second half was dead the moment Lucas went off injured, no cohesion, they had more of the ball but no real chances. Kent looked to run it every time he got it and eventually found some space which won the pen.
Mane was sharp, quick and made good runs, touch a little heavy at times, won a pen, and should have had a goal from a dodgy back pass.
I'd like to see firmino off a striker, he drops deep and has nice touches with couts, but no one to get down the middle. Grujic was strong, good finish, seems to have a knack of getting through players, but again touch a little heavy, hopefully that's just preseason. Moreno dived in left right centre, arguably sent off in a real game, last man tackle and a few other reckless ones. Karius made a decent stop, and was good with his feet.

7.) 21 Jul 2016 00:16:07
Karius made one excellent save in the first half, back four were rarely tested apart from the Karius save. Stewart, Grujic Ejara combined well in the middle. Mane movement and pace caused huge problems. Coutinho and firmino also looked very sharp. Grujic took his goal very well. Second half was very scrappy where both teams struggled to keep the ball. Markovic was bright in the second half too.

8.) 21 Jul 2016 04:40:42
Klopp's response on the official site regarding the Moreno penalty situation was class. Great answer - check it out.

9.) 21 Jul 2016 05:47:17
Markovic was bright second half? What? Someone watched a different game to me. Totally pointless him and Moreno being on pitch because surely they cannot have a future? Please Klopp?

10.) 21 Jul 2016 07:57:00
Thanks all - much appreciated!

06 Jul 2016 23:51:16
Ojo in England U19's squad for Euro championships starting next week - good luck fella!

Completely agree with Ed. Lucas made a mistake but Mignolet should have calmed down assessed the situation and not passed to him given where the Leicester players were.

That being said his reading of the game; being in the right position for most of the headers and distribution was excellent. Given Lucas and Milner not being defenders between them and Henderson I thought they worked very well together.

Not sure how Lallana got man of the match on Sky; too many tricks in the wrong places and giving the ball away.

Oh my when Frimino took that ball down in their penalty area - he at times (as did the team) looked frightening in attack!

In todays market and given berahino being worth close to £25m and our other forward options then maybe take "25m from a Stoke / West Brom for him".

Look at the quality of the team he inherited.

Look how much he was given to spend.

Look how bloated our squad was with average players - you can't keep adding to a squad.

Harry, you confuse me.

There was a post (yesterday I believe) that you said Frimino is an attacking midfielder and not a striker and shouldn't be because he misses sitters.

Then you basically say he should be playing up top with another striker. and would be lethal.

Then no Thursdays at all!
