Hi Ed's Just a quick question. Do we regularly send scouts to Ajax? They have for years developed younger players who end up going on to bigger and better things!

Cheers.

Daryll

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

Hi Ed's, If any of you have time could you please let me know what is taken in to account for getting a work permit, I'm interested in younger players like Allan. and how some youngsters get work permits no problem and others don't. I've had a look as i remember it being touched upon but can't find anything.
Much appreciated.

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - The player needs a minimum of four points and summary goes something like this:
- The value of the transfer fee (alone) that is to be paid is between the top 75% and 100% of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows - 3 points
- The value of the transfer fee being paid for the player is between 50% and 75% of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows - 2 points
- The basic wage (excluding bonuses) being paid to the player by the new club is in the top 25% of the top 30 earners at the club - 3 points
- The basic wage (excluding bonuses) being paid to the player by the new club is between 50% and 75% of all the top 30 earners at the club - 2 points
- Subjectively, the player’s current club is in a recognised "top" league and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes - 1 point
- The player’s existing club has played in the group stages or onwards of the Champions League, Europa League or the Copa Libertadores within the last 12 months and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes - 1 point

Hi Ed's and Reds

Just thought i'd try and break up the usual posts during silly season.

Hypothetically who would you guys take from any of the relegated teams? Personally i would take Wijnaldum (spelling) from Newcastle as he is pretty versatile and seemed to be half decent.

Would really love to hear an ed's point of view view if any of you have time.

Cheers.

Daryll

{Ed001's Note - no one, there were no players worth having that did not suffer long term injuries in those teams. Steer well clear.}

1.) 11 Jun 2016 10:19:00
I agree Ed i guess in my head i was thinking if i had to choose someone. Just to make it clear to everyone I'm not saying someone we should sign it's more banter to get peoples personal opinion.

Cheers for the reply Ed and all of the hard work you guys do!

2.) 11 Jun 2016 10:29:09
Wijnaldum is a decent player but isn't any better than what we have. Mitrovic looks like he has the potential to be a great player but is a loose cannon and we already have Ings and origi yet to reach their potential so wouldn't need him. Villa have a couple of half decent players but none would be a step up on anything we have. I'd say all 3 have keepers I'd have more confidence in than mignolet- and I wouldn't want any of them!

3.) 11 Jun 2016 12:05:36
fair enough i was more thinking wijnaldum would be good for the bench mainly due to his flexibilty and he chips in with a few goals. i'd take Krul if he wasnt injured aswell think he is a good goalie!

{Ed001's Note - Wijnaldum's attitude stinks, which is why Rafa dropped him. In fact there are a very small number of players there at Newcastle who do not have a stinking attitude, which was their problem and why they went down.}

4.) 11 Jun 2016 13:56:24
Disagree with you on that one Ed. They just lacked a really good tactics-savvy manager like Sherwood. You should only look at Villa, what a great season they had even if Sherwood was there for just a short time.

- Krishna.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? You just made yourself look foolish with that as Sherwood is barely able to wipe his nose without help! The guy is pure arrogance and has no idea about tactics, which was what got him the sack at both Spurs and Villa. His only skill is enthusiasm. He is utter dog turd as a manager, only good for a short term boost.}

5.) 11 Jun 2016 15:32:19
Ed, I think it may have been sarcasm mate.

6.) 11 Jun 2016 15:40:19
Krishna that's the funniest post I've ever read.

7.) 12 Jun 2016 00:16:13
I'd take krul. Always liked the lad.

Hi Ed's Just wondering two things if you have the time to answer them. Firstly are there any updates on possible destinations for Enrique? Also is Yesil still at the club or did he leave? If he is still around do you know what the plans for him are? Thanks for your time!

Cheers

Daryll

{Ed002's Note - There is no news on LE. Yesil remains at the club - he would stand pretty much no chance of playing any league games next season. Perhaps a league cup game is an option.}

1.) 26 Jul 2015 19:02:34
Wrong Enrique, Ed002. Yesil played int he friendly with the U21s today, and is contracted until next summer, when he will leave IMO. Incidentally, Sinclair was also part of the squad today along with Coutinho and Can both playing 45 minutes against FC Porto B.

{Ed002's Note - A typo - sorry.}

2.) 26 Jul 2015 22:59:17
From what I hear Enrique has the following destination possibilities

Monday - manicure
Tuesday - tatt-u-like
Wednesday - colonic irrigation
Thursday - if Wednesday goes ok, it a full sack back and crack wax
Friday - a bit of training
Saturday - plumping up cushions in the players lounge

3.) 26 Jul 2015 23:12:05
I've got a picture of him twerking with Miley Cyrus in a bathroom mirror if anyone's bothered?
It's the first time I've seen his tackle !!

4.) 27 Jul 2015 03:26:43
Tweaking along with a Robin Thicke as well.

Liverpool Football club have made a statement regarding the transfer of Suarez to Barcelona! It was time for him to go but I still wish him all the best in the future. He is officially going now and I honestly believe we won't even miss him. In 6 months we will be moaning about other players and he will be a distant memory! Can't wait for the season ahead.

Cheers

As much as I like Lambert as a player I can't help but think he will be wasted talent sitting on the bench at Liverpool. He will not get games if SAS are half as good as they were in the season just gone! I doubt he will get any more England call up's due to lack of appearances! I understand he is a Liverpool fan and it's everyone's dream to play for their home team. I just think it's poor decision making all round, he can lead Southampton to potentially another really good position in the league or waste away on the bench of the team he loves! Tough choice I know but I feel sad for him as I think this spells the end of his playing career! would love to hear others thoughts.

(this is not me bashing a signing before he even arrives I like him and think he is a good player I just want to see a player like that play more than he will with us!)

Cheers

i'd take Ronaldinho and Berbatov, the little passes between them were great :P, Must admit though Jack whitehall was actually decent, the pass for the goal was good and he had a few really good crosses. really didn't expect that at all.
