Hi Ed

Would you probably agree the imminent arrival of Can would spell the end of Coady's Liverpool career?

{Ed002's Note - I don't think it is anything to do with it. Coady is on his way out.}

1.) Is anyone interested in Coady ed?

{Ed002's Note - Sheffield United and Wolves are both keen on Coady.}

Hi Eds, have Liverpool, or any other clubs shown any interest in Luiz Gustavo? I have read that Inter Milan have turned their interest to Yann M'Vila after being priced out of a move for Gustavo, but could you see him being an option for Liverpool?

cheers mate

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has shown no interest in him.}

Hi Ed,

Do you think Wilson and Ngoo are playing well enough in Scotland to earn themselves new contracts, or do you think they will both leave the club on a free at the end of the season?

Thanks {Ed001's Note - I expect both to move on, Celtic are keeping tabs on both currently.}

1.) That's really interesting Ed001! Do you think there might be a potential cash and player deal in there, i. e. Wanyama for Wilson, Ngoo and some cash? I know from you and Ed002 such deals are problematic and rare but might such a thing be considered? {Ed002's Note - No.}

2.) I fully expect Michael Ngoo to stay, he is a different striker to what we already have and at his age he wouldn't mind sitting on the bench and being an impact player, he is strong, good in the air and can score goals.

3.) Well Celtic are mugs, as a Scots
man who attends matches in scotland in my humble opinion neither have done anything better than ordinary! Ngoo is absolute tripe watched him at Easter road last week and looked way out of his depth, his best attribute seems to be strength!

4.) A Hearts fan at my work told me that Ngoo is good on the ground but surprisingly, not so good in the air.

His exact words were 'he is 6ft 4, but when he jumps, he is 5ft 9!'

He is still only 20 though and this loan spell will hopefully be doing him a power of good.

Coyle's Law states.

5.) Both will move on. Neither are good enough to play regularly in the first team.

6.) Hearts see ngoo as the god

One for Ed01 if you are about mate. Given Bodgers recent comments That he tried to sign Ashley Williams for us, I just wanted to know what your opinion of him as a player is, and why he has never been picked up by a "bigger" club? In my opinion he possesses many of the attributes we are currently lacking from our defenders, such as leadership, organisation, Ariel ability and consistency.
This than made me think about the summer, and who we could bring in, but I was really struggling to think of any Centre backs that would be both attainable, and improve our squad. It really does seem that defenders now days need to be quick, good on the ball and read the game well, with the basics of defending almost being a secondary thought. Players such as Terry, Carra, Vidic and Campbell are becoming a dying bread ( Not saying those players are bad on the ball or anything, but they were / are defenders first and foremost) . The one player who stands out to me as being more of the "old School" style defender, whilst still being good on the ball and nimble, is Kamil Glik, but I know Ed02 has said we hold no interest and is happy where he is. Who would you like us to bring in Ed01?

Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - I am not a fan of Williams, he is a very average player who struggles when under pressure as he showed this season. Fine when his team is dominating possession but not so good when actually required to do anything. He is big, strong and quick, but that is all for me. He has gone nowhere else because there has been very little real interest, even we were only interested in him as a cheap option really. No one was going to spend big on him.
Bring in? I have not seen anyone worth bringing in, I would rather we worked on developing what we have, unless the scouts have found someone I haven't seen.}

"Bring in? I have not seen anyone worth bringing in, I would rather we worked on developing what we have, unless the scouts have found someone I haven't seen"

{Ed001's Note - are you making a pass at me Ronald?}

2.) 11 Feb 2016 11:38:16
Ed001 - what's your views on Shawcross?

For me we need a commanding centre-back with good communication skills. Shawcross to me seems like a good fit. His overall game seems to have evolved over the last 12 - 18 months and to me he would be a straight replacement for Skrtel.

{Ed001's Note - god no, just a cumbersome thug who plays in a team of them. Yes he is the best cumbersome thug out there, but that is all. He still can't pass or play actual football.}

3.) 11 Feb 2016 11:50:45
😄 others got there before me on the Live Chat the other night.
We already have Grujic coming in, hopefully Markovic coming back and possibly Matip. We probably do need some more talent but I'd rather see our coaches get the most out of what we've already got first.

{Ed001's Note - you've lost me? I haven't looked at the live chat logs yet.}

4.) 11 Feb 2016 12:00:32
There was a bit of man-love for Eds 1,2 and 3 going on.

{Ed001's Note - understandable, Ed03 has plenty of man love to go round that is for sure.}

5.) 11 Feb 2016 16:17:25
I must admit I did say I firmly believe ed003 is fergie out of the black eyes peas lol.

{Ed001's Note - he is closer to Fergie who used to manage United.}

6.) 11 Feb 2016 17:02:28
Oh don't say that ed001 lol I might actually believe that haha.

{Ed001's Note - they went to school at the same time mate. Half 8 every morning.}

Quick one for Ed01 if he's about;

I've seen a lot of talk about potential replacements should Rogers leave, but one name I haven't seen is Lucian Favre. what do you think of the current Borussia Mönchengladbach as a potential successor should things not improve under BR?

Many Thanks in advance for the reply mate.

{Ed001's Note - I haven't followed his career closely at all, sorry. I don't know enough about him as a manager to really give any kind of opinion.}

1.) He`s a journeyman manager who`s been up and down throughout his career. That`s about all I know.

2.) Journeyman? he's only been at 3 clubs in the past 10 years! He's been at Borussia Mönchengladbach just shy of 4 years. Very Successful managing in Switzerland and currently has Gladbach sitting 2nd in the Bundasliga. Known for playing attacking football and bringing through young players. Thanks for the honest answer though Ed.

3.) He`s been coaching longer than 10 yrs, bro.

4.) Never said he hadn't "bro", just pointing out how many clubs he has been at in the past 10 years.

Hi Ed

tried the search function but didn't see any posts on the matter. Downing didn't make an appearance yesterday and there is a lot of talk of attacking players potentially coming in. Is he injured, or was yesterday perhaps a telling sign that he may be off? I had thought based on his performances towards the end of last season and his versatility he may have been retained as a squad player. Do you think he will move on?

PS loving the new set-up!

Cheers {Ed002's Note - I would not read anything in to him not appearing yesterday. At this time I am not aware that he will be leaving this summer.}

Hi Eds

Are any clubs interested in Nacer Chadli? I think I read a while back that Swansea were looking at him. Quality little player, think he would do well in the Prem, has a good record in Holland and for the Belgium National team and is still only 21! Would love us to make a move for, good delivery and can take a free kick as well. Hard working little player, think he would really suit our style of play.

Thanks in advance. {Ed052's Note - I cant say use the search function, can I? Swansea have bid, according to his agent. We haven't had interest for a while}

1.) Dangerous that eds. see youve taken off the search function, I suppose for maintenance. be prepared for loads of stupid questions from loads of nobs

Hi Ed002,

What do you think will happen with Cech / Courtois at Chelsea? could you see Courtois going out on loan again (FYI, as a short term solution to Reina leaving I don’t think that would be a bad move for Liverpool) or do you think Cech will be off in the summer? also you say Arsenal could be in the market for a goalkeeper, is this because Szczesny will be leaving? or are they looking for competition for him? sorry I know it’s not LFC related I'm just interested.

Cheers {Ed002's Note - Chelsea has rejected two offers from Barcelona for Courtois and he might spend another season on loan - but nothing is decided yet. Cech will not go this summer. Arsenal are in the market for a GK and Szczesny may well leave. With the plans for Valdes changing it would not be out of teh question that they could be interested in him.}

I was also under the impression teams from the same federation couldn't sign players on pre-contracts but I clearly don't understand. What are the rules, could Man City do the same with Can for example?

Agree with Indian Buzzer, it's De Gea, Neuer and Oblak for me.

Careful praising Klopp on her Benny. You call it Great character (I agree 100%) whilst others call it being a clown.

To be fair to him, he was simply pointing out the teams that win the league generally don't concede massive amounts. He didn't need to manipulate any stats to prove that, as it is just common sense.
