Ed's can I ask a question about the Garcia injury tonight.

Can Ederson be punished for extreme dangerous play against his own player. If he had done that to an arsenal player it would have been a definite straight red for serious dangerous play, but as he has nearly taken the head off his own player he has no action against him.

He is so reckless at times when he comes flying out. Its not the first time he has injured someone else either.

And I really hope it's nothing serious for Garcia!

Andyj570

{Ed002's Note - You can be punished for dangerous play against a player on the same team, but it is rare. I recall an attempt by a player to hack down a winger who ended up hitting his own player as the winger was too quick and he was sent off.}

1.) 18 Jun 2020 02:51:26
And remember? how he "showed" that he could play in our midfield??

2.) 18 Jun 2020 11:16:12
Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer were sent off after fighting with each other during a 3-0 loss to Aston Villa at St James' Park.

3.) 18 Jun 2020 12:02:42
Thanks for the reply.

Surely he has to get a ban for that, it's totally reckless and he could end up seriously hurting someone unless he changed his ways.

4.) 18 Jun 2020 13:32:09
How and why should Ederson be banned? It's a highly physical and competitive sport. And where's the intent? Did Ederson really intend for his own team mate to end up in the hospital? I can see how it could be viewed if it had been with an opposing team's player, but not in this situation. Simply an unintended collision. Nowhere near like what Bowyer and Dyer were trying to do to each other.

5.) 18 Jun 2020 11:09:10
And who can forget Bowyer Vs Dyer.

6.) 18 Jun 2020 18:42:21
That Ederson is a true head case. He is erratic, hot headed and has very poor or should I say decision -making that is hazardous to one’s health.

The way he came out last night, the poor boy Garcia had no chance to protect himself cis he didn’t even see Ederson coming at him, putting his safety at risk. Dreadful/ Dangerous play, IMO.

7.) 18 Jun 2020 21:47:33
ArAy If you think there is no intent there you obviously have not seen the incident. Ok he came out to head the ball but leads with both fists clenched at head height, at speed and with both feet off the ground. It was totally reckless and out of control.

It may be a physical sport but that is bang out of order.

Ed002 the way in which LFC have been handling transfers with both the youth ban (facinating article you wrote by the way) and the complaints made about the tapping up could there be consequences for Klopp or any other individuals at the club, or would it just be the club that is punished and sanctions put in place.

The last thing I would want to see is any sort of ban for Klopp because I beleive he is the man to take us forward but his behaviour is both humiliating to the club and totally unacceptable and if that was in any other line of business he would have been shown the door by now.

Andyj570

{Ed002's Note - Right now thye club needs to get its act in order.}

I hope it wasn't from a pickford challenge that's done him.

Until ED002 confirms we have actually spoken with Bayern I will not believe anything.

We have been caught out too many times to believe anything that is written on social media.

Isnt it just Irishman. It might have been his friends, mothers, cousins cat that got the info from climbing around the wall at melwood.

Or Maybe it could have been due to the wernercraft coming up the mersey belting out the anfield rap.

I thought we didn't have an interest in him and klopp had just stated that he was a very good player. Not actually tapping him up by speaking directly to him.

If this is true then its absolutely disgraceful from Klopp. Yes he is a fantastic manager but to continuously drag the club through the dirt is bang out of order and needs dealing with.

What number is he up to now, is it 3 or 4?

What have they exactly lodged, I don't understand what they are trying to do.

I would like to hope it's in support, but maybe the thought of being awarded a title for finishing runners up is too much to pass up.

I, as a fan, would not like this, retrospective titles are not for the fans, which is what football should all be about.

If city have cheated they should be punished by the regulatory authorities and not have clubs throwing their two cents in.

And let's face it, we have not exactly been squeaky clean recently have we, and didn't city actually help us out by not taking the matter any further.

Sometimes I do wonder what the idiots running this club are thinking!

Was it just me or did anyone else notice why hendo actually played them onside? It was a very clever play by the Southampton man to push him backwards just as the ball was played which is why ings was onside.

Trent then had a brain fart and what a finish from ings, but it was all made by the slight nudge on hendo.

Totally agree JK I think the biggest mistake was to leave gini out. Jones and milner in the midfield just made us totally toothless.

We have a word class front 3 but the only supply came from trent and robbo. The midfield were none existent until thiago came on. And I must say he won every aerial battle and pinged some beautiful passes around. I hope he gets and stays fit but that's jones's run in the side done. He is a good player but some of his decisions in the last few games have not been the top class that we have come to expect so I think he needs a rest and recharge his batteries.

I'm with you Ed0666 there is no other reason for the decisions that are being made against us apart from doing all they can to stop us winning.

Andyj570

{Ed0666's Note - F*ck em we’ll win it regardless of their obstacles mate.

Well said KJ. I don't believe for a million years that he meant that. It was a bad one in the heat of the moment. We have all done stupid things like that.

Pickford now has to live with it and I reckon it will do him more harm not getting punished than it would if he had.

We now have to move on but all these keyboard warriors on social media are taking things well too far.

I was so angry watching that game, but I would never wish pickford any harm apart from being punished by the governing bodies. That's not happening so now we dust ourselves down and get on with it.

I think most of my anger was the disallowed goal, that is bad but like I said in an earlier post we have had VAR go for us plenty and will do again.

Put all of the bad challenges and poor refereeing aside, it was one of the best Darby games I have witnessed for a long time. If VVD had stayed on I think we would have steam rollered them they way we played.

JK you are spot on. When you lose the world's best CB to an injury like that they are going to be missed. But let's bot forget that's 96 games where VVD has been teaching one of gomes or matip what he does.

To be fair, last season both matip and gomes were emence playing alongside vvd, sometimes played better than the man himself, so now they just need to do it together.

They are both really good players and will have fabinho to protect them. It will all be fine.

My main concern is when alisson will be back. We can live without vvd but alisson is the key in that defence. And although I think Adrian is a good keeper, he is so low on confidence at the moment. I do believe he should have done better for both goals yesterday and a confident Adrian would have saved at least one of them.

So rather than saying its all doom and gloom there are 3 players who we need to give a confidence boost to, who we are relying on getting us through this sticky patch so let's get behind our lads and support them through thick and thin.

Remember YNWA.
