Im sorry lads but we have bought 2 donkeys for full backs wtf is Kerkez doing turning around and putting it out for a throw in when it was easier to boot it straight up the field and then Frimpong gets drawn to the ball and forgets to mark his man absolutely shocking defensively. I thought we had scraped a draw but we managed to throw that away in all fairness Palace should have been out of sight at half time we were absolutely shocking 1st half and overall they probably will think they deserved to win which they did even though our results bar today have gone favourably no one on here can say that we have played well for a full 90 mins. Its only 6 games in and still top but it's worrying how poor we've started some games being too conservative and tentative im sure as the season goes on the new players will hopefully bed in but we need to sort out our inability to defend balls into the box whether from throw ins corners or free kicks hugely disappointed with both the result and 1st half performance maybe it's the kick in the arse that we need to get things right from the start we move on to Galatasary and the champions league hopefully see a better performance and result midweek we go again.

I don't like the slow plodding football we've come to play it's extremely boring we create very little chances and yet are still wide open at the back might as well just go back to the chaotic chaos we used to play.

We wre awful well. before that and for most of the match. They still had to score from the throw in and none of our players covered themselves in glory defending that setpiece.

Not going to lie, the more I see of Milos Kerkez, the more I am reminded of Alberto Moreno. He just can not do the basics when we need him to. He's all heart, sprinting, but he fails to use his head, the thing that makes the biggest difference as a player.

Not going to discuss Wirtz anymore, as even I recognise I have talked about him ad nauseum. Just don't see anything. Isak, coming off an injury lay off, plus no service whatsoever, so understand his situation.

Crystal Palace deserved the win. Questionable decision by Slot, in terms of selection, but as a Prem winner, I'll give his some leeway for mistakes. We should have honestly been battered 5-0, if not for Alisson.

Honestly, something about this team just doesn't sit well with me. When I watch the Inside Training vids, the players are all laughing, messing about and do appear to be taking things less seriously. It is really noticeable, compared to previous seasons.

Call me old fashioned, and boring, but I much prefer to see a focus group, with their only thoughts shifting to the next game. Instead, I always see Frimpong, Konate, Ekitike, etc, messing about and interrupting people's work outs. Having a laugh with each other. I just don't get it.

Maybe being hypercritical (remembering the days of Hendo, Mane, etc, and the discipline you saw in every Inside Training) but it has been bugging me.

Also, for the love of god, in training can we please do some finishing that isn't uopposed, nothing between the finisher and keeper. Better yet, drop the football tennis, what does that even accomplish? Old fashioned, of course, and I recognise this is just for public viewing (the real work done in secret) but our shot to on target finishing is embarassing.

Your opinions on today?
Wirtz is really struggling. He’s not learning from previous mistakes of losing the ball and being dispossessed. Maybe Slot should drop him for a few games?
What’s going on with Gakpo? He’s become the most predictable player ever in the last few months. Becoming like Jones now, slowing the game down.
Our 2 rbs. Jesus. Bradley has not stepped into the role of starting RB at all. Not been good. Frimpong was terrible during the week and today when he came on.
Kerkez. God. Use your right foot man!
Salah looks very very average, and the balance and press of the team is completely non existent with Wirtz and Isak.
Perhaps it sounds like an over reaction. I think not, we we’ve gotten away with it the last few weeks. Performances have been very poor.
What does Slot do?

There are still many positives. When it clicks it should be good. Or maybe not?
Who knows?
And who knows how deeply these players are affected by Diogo’s loss.
Mo in particular looks like it’s hurting him the most. I guess they will all carry it differently.

Sorry for the rant. We’ve not conceded a late goal in a long long time, specially to lose! in what was such a big weekend in the PL.

Crystal Palace were better than us today. Simple as that. Very little creativity attacking and poor defending.

Yeah couldn't begrudge palace the win. We defended v poorly all game and really palace couldve had 4r5.
We also had plenty of chances and missed few sitters, konate+ wirtz in particular.

It has been coming since start of season . Well done palace the best team won .
Konate was very poor he started the rot from first few minutes head in clouds about madrid .

Slot needs to buck up now. The early season is done, and the excuse for the disjointed showings is no longer valid given the quality he has at his disposal.
It is fair to say at this point that, performance-wise, we’ve been absolutely crap this season, and have finally paid the price for it.
That was an absolutely atrocious display today, topped off by a last-minute goal from one of the worst strikers in the league.

A well deserved loss. What on earth was Kerkez doing on that last goal kicking it out for a throw when it was so easy to strike through the ball. I can only assume he was beyond exhausted because that was beyond useless thing to do.

Anyway. That's one of the 5 losses right there.

Kerkez has been shocking so far this season along with Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo and Macca. Not sure 6 touches in a half of football is worth £125m. Szob doesn’t impact a game at all in midfield.
