News coming out this morning that Klopp wants Markovic back in January and his loan spell at Fenerbache may be cancelled.

CaptainMadface

1.) 14 Jan 2016 13:12:47
Hope that's true mate. Sending 20m players on loan like Aquilani, Carrol, Balotelli, now Markovic just shows how bloody wasteful LFC is. At least Klopp is trying to salvage what we got and then spend smartly in the summer.

2.) 14 Jan 2016 13:38:51
I guess fenerbache would still be interested in the summer even if he came back, maybe as part of the recall agreement there could be a first option clause? Is that possible eds?

{Ed002's Note - No - he is on loan for the season. I have explained the situation.}

3.) 14 Jan 2016 16:28:16
So I used the search funtion, and I glean Markovic wants to make a permanent move at the end of the season - it's suggested he would wish to stay with Fenerbache. in order to resurrect his career. Is Turkey really the place to resurrect a career - I thought it was where players went in the twilight of their playing days?

Just thinking of the caveats that I couldn't pick up from previous posts using the search.

If the loan cannot be cancelled now, can the club recall him in the summer? If not, presumably his only option would be to stay with Fenerbache on a permanent deal? That is, he cannot opt for a move to another club?

I would have thought he has to agree to whatever outcome in order for it to happen, ie agree to return or agree to sign for Fenerbache? Are these basically his only options?

Apologies to both Eds if I've missed something but is this the sum total of it?

{Ed002's Note - I think you have completely misunderstood what a one year loan means Rob.}

4.) 14 Jan 2016 20:18:55
Ed, I don't think we don't understand the term one year loan part, it's the option of a recall part. Ward was on a one year loan right? I know I'm going to get torn a new one here, but we don't know the specifications of the loan agreement, not the duration. Obvisouly I get now there was no recall option, or without financial implements.

{Ed002's Note - They vary. Liverpool paid to get Ilori out of his loan. Unless the other side and the player agree it won't happen with Markovic. They don't want to let go and he does not want to leave.}

5.) 15 Jan 2016 00:53:06
Okay Ed, you got me.

Anyway, what Fencey said. so rather than "recalling the player", let's say "at the end of the year long loan" what are his options?

Does Markovic think his career is best going to be progressed in Turkey? Surely he can't believe that staying in Turkey for more than perhaps a few seasons is the answer?

Ta for any insight.

Rob.

{Ed002's Note - At the end of the loan he returns to Liverpool and his options are exactly the same as the other players. Staying in Turkey may well be attractive to him - they are treating him well and he is playing.}

6.) 15 Jan 2016 08:15:40
i think the keypoint from ed002 is he himself does not want to leave. ilori wouldev said yes to coming back as he's not even playing there.

13 Jul 2015 17:33:31
Rumours circulating that Fiorentina would take Balotelli on Loan for next season to replace Mario Gomez, who might go the other way.
I can see Fiorentina wanting Balo, but surely we won't consider Gomez. He's past it.

CaptainMadface

1.) 13 Jul 2015 17:58:11
Why the heck would we loan out balo and bring in gomez. We are after benteke that is it.

2.) 13 Jul 2015 18:39:01
Good target man with no other attributes so doubt it.

3.) 13 Jul 2015 18:54:16
He's been struggling for two years now, was class at bayern they sold him at the right time hopefully they are doing the same with schweinsteiger

4.) 13 Jul 2015 19:44:15
Probably exactly what they're doing with Schweini.

5.) 14 Jul 2015 13:47:20
Florence doesn't want Ballotelli

Any truth in the reports that Lavezzi hasn't gone to winter break training with PSG and wants out, and if he does is it true PSG would except lower bids for him. still can't see us signing an older player like him without prem experience even if he was going cheap in jan

CaptainMadface

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Levezzi from Inter remains but funding of the transfer is an issue. However a meeting has been scheduled for today to discuss his transfer so it should beome clear later or tomorrow. Neither Napoli nor Valencia should be discounted from making a bid. Chelsea were offered Lavezzi in exchange for another player but have declined.}

23 Jan 2014 22:30:38
French sources are now reporting we now want lavezzi for £20mil, not that I see anything in it eds but was just wondering if he looks likely to leave PSG in the summer if not sooner? Heard rumours for a while he is unhappy, although of course it is always hard to find truth in anything the media prints.

CaptainMadface

{Ed002's Note - He might well leave - but don't hold your breath.}

23 Jan 2014 18:17:34
Any chance of Dzsudzsak with the salah deal off eds?, he'd be cheaper than some other names I've heard like Yarmolenko, plus he helps give us width.

CaptainMadface

{Ed001's Note - I don't think he is under consideration.}

If Hector and Chilwell both sign i can definitely see Moreno leave, some people are suggesting he should stay and be played at LAM, but he really isn't intelligent enough with his crossing or shooting to start for us, and too expensive to bench.

CaptainMadface

1.) 04 Jun 2016 16:24:00
Chilwell doesn't look to be happening anymore anyway. I think Leicester wanted a bit more than we where willing to offer. Hector and Moreno would be good competition for the left back position. I think Gomez will go out on loan as ed2 has mentioned and Enrique is obviously gone.

2.) 04 Jun 2016 17:39:13
id prefer getting chilwell and hector in, if it was just chilwell and he got injured, we're back with Moreno.

25 May 2016 17:28:39
Here's my opinion on the upcoming window at the moment, food for thought for the forum.

I can definitely see Klopp buying another centre back due to Skrtel heading off to turkey and Sakho's ban coming up, i doubt he'll plug the gap by giving Kolo an extension, as much as i love him, he's on big wages and i think klopp would rather look long term, someone young and german most likely, like Sule or Tah.

Even though some fans wan't him gone, Mignolet will almost certainly stay, especially with Danny ward possibly out on loan. I can see Mignolet leaving at the end of next season if Klopp moves him into the 2nd choice role as expected, and Ward taking over from there on depending on how well he fares.

Not sure if Borussia will sell Dahoud having sold Xhaka to Arsenal and Nordtveit to West Ham, not without a hefty fee at least. Goetze is obviously not happening and Udinese seem reluctant to part with Zielinski. Coric also seems a possibility, and i like the lad even if he seems a little lightweight.

I reckon Benteke will definitely go while the club can get a good fee, they won't want him being benched for another season and his value dropping any further, and Klopp seems happy with Origi, Firmino, Sturridge and he now has Ings back.

Not sure about left back, it seems very likely chilwell will be done once a fee is agreed, but since there are other priorities i doubt moreno will go and hector or another left back will arrive

Lastly i'm not sure which of the midfield will be culled, Canos seems off and now Ibe is apparently available. room obviously needs to be made for new additions. Not forgetting Grujic is now here too. Allen i reckon will go even though some fans now want the new Welsh Xavi/ Pirlo to stay. Wouldn't be surprised to see lucas go either.

CaptainMadface

1.) 26 May 2016 12:05:26
Why is Goetze " not happening "?

When a player with one year on his contract, who has only started 11 games last season for his club, says he is happy where he is, then has his father say he has no knowledge of any transfer, that indicates to me he is strongly engineering a move.

What do Bayern do, lose him for nothing in 12 months time.

Personally speaking, I feel we have more pressing priorites than another attacking midfielder, I am just saying that it pays sometimes not to take everything at face value, we are all aware that there are no ethics in football tranfers.

Everything I have seen from the Gotze camp this week tells me he is on his way!

2.) 26 May 2016 12:48:07
Yup I would agree with pretty much everything in this post looking pretty likely. Personally I think we need a new CB (depending on departures) another left back on top of chilwell (depending on Moreno leaving) another central midfielder (not another box to box midfielder we have plenty of them and preferably a defensive minded one as Lucas is just too injury prone and as a result inconsistent even though I love the guy) a forward/ winger (someone that isn't an attacking midfielder/ number 10 who runs in behind using pace and trickery. Hopefully markovic stays and gets a chance with ojo staying to learn from the first team or a loan to a pl club, and ibe either sold or loaned to a pl club) and depending on outgoings and injuries, at a stretch and the least of all our priorities, a striker.

Possibly 9 signings all together including the ones we have. That is a major transformation. Departures of deadwood will play a huge role in how the club gets along. Chemistry, fitness and balance is required in this team and having a bloated squad full of unhappy or average players will ruin next season again. Klopp has to be ruthless and we need to finally get rid of unwanted players rather than continuesly loan them.

27 Dec 2015 15:31:40
Do the eds or anyone else think Lallana may not remain long term under klopp?

The guy is a very good dribbler but seems to always have his head down and never looks up to pick the right pass at the right time, plus i haven't seen much to suggest he's a very good striker of the ball, and he isn't quick or strong. just not sure he offers us enough in attacking midfield, surely younger players like ibe and markovic who've got pace and can shoot offer us more.

CaptainMadface

1.) 27 Dec 2015 15:44:56
It's obvious that Klopp likes him as he keeps picking him, he was very good yesterday, first half he was on fire, hopefully he can add consistency.

2.) 27 Dec 2015 15:48:47
I posted the exact same thing yesterday, Captain. He seems to always wanna show how skillful he is by taking ten touches on the ball, running into cul de sacs, playing with his head down and crossing the ball without even looking to see if someone is making a run. On Benteke's goal, Firmino looked up to see where he was before crossing to him. If that was Lallana, he would have just crossed the ball head down and the chance would have been gone. Also, He is dreadful in front of goal and can't shoot accurately hence, the sitters he misses. There's a reason he hasn't scored a goal in an eternity. I think for someone with talent, he lacks end product and doesn't score goals enuff to warrant a starting berth. Klopp seems to like his energy but that's all he has, energy.

3.) 27 Dec 2015 16:06:22
I think Lallana will come good. he just needs to continue to work hard. Goals and assists will come.

Same goes for Origi, Firminho and Benteke.

{Ed001's Note - it is far more than hard work that Lallana requires, he works ridiculously hard already. It is about speeding up his thought and he simply has done nothing to show he can learn. Not just in the way he plays, which is still the same mistakes repeatedly, but in his moronic comments to the media. He is still repeating the same rubbish he has done since the day he signed.}

4.) 27 Dec 2015 16:06:43
I don't think we will know who Klopp really likes until a few transfer windows have occured; he may pick players believing they will get him the result / that's the best we have at the moment (that's willing to follow Klopp's instructions) .

5.) 27 Dec 2015 16:45:23
Edd001 I was delighted when Lallana signed and thought we had a top class player that would be assisting and scoring goals but he has been the biggest disappointment for me of a signing. the boy works hard on this pitch but he isn't adding anything to the team. He's an attacking player and it can't remember the last time he scored a goal or lays the ball of quicker enough for an assist. I think klopp may well look at lallana in the a summer of he doesn't add a lot more than he has since signing.

{Ed001's Note - if he didn't work so hard chasing around, I think there is no doubt he would be amongst the first out of the door. As it is, due to the graft he puts in, there is no emergency to sell him but he could fetch a decent fee.}

6.) 27 Dec 2015 16:51:01
One goal in his last 25 league games. We got a long wait.

7.) 27 Dec 2015 17:32:08
Personally i'd much rather see us sell lallana in the summer while we can still get a decent fee for him, and give markovic a run in the side instead when he's back from loan, everyone seems to think markovic is a winger but from what i remember at benfica he played much more centrally. Swear markovic mentioned in an interview he'd be happy to be on loan at fenerbache for one more season so the lad obviously wants the game time.

8.) 27 Dec 2015 17:50:15
Couldn't disagree more Capt. I think he is a very good player. If he and Couts get into a groove they will be excellent. High energy is name of Klopp's game and Lallana and Hendo fit it to a tee.

9.) 27 Dec 2015 18:30:27
sick of this lalana thing why ain't nothing directed at coutinho who plays well for 3 games then is awful for 10 he is so inconsistent its unreal. don't get me wrong that if we have money to spend then i would keep coutinho because he may become world class in time but do we have time to wait so if we don't have money I for one would rather sell coutinho for decent money for klopp to have to get the players he wants as that would still leave firminho lalana tex for the same position.

{Ed001's Note - because Couts actually offers something, whereas Lallana offers little. What a pointless argument.}

10.) 27 Dec 2015 18:53:10
Lallana needs to shoot and cross more, it's as simple as that. He needs to speed his decision making up. In training he needs to work at releasing the ball earlier.

11.) 27 Dec 2015 19:10:52
ed01 have we got time to wait is my point as he doesn't exactly offer lots more and again I say at this point in time. his constant shooting all the time now witch is in the most awful he just frustrates me he used to look for the killer ball doesn't do that anymore and before u say anything have watched him carefully and there has been lots of chances to set people up but just blazes it over or wide its there but but why the 3 good games and ten with out dong anything?

{Ed001's Note - seriously? Has it escaped your attention that when he has a bad game so does the whole team? He looks for the killer ball but needs runners.}

12.) 27 Dec 2015 19:11:34
Ed001, you aroused my curiosity there (amongst other things) . What moronic comments to the media are you referring to?

{Ed001's Note - everytime he does an interview it is moronic. He needs to just shut up and stop talking and let his feet do the talking for him. Always shouting his mouth off about how we are going to do.}

13.) 27 Dec 2015 19:15:52
The only reason klopp is picking Lallana is because there are no other better options atm. He has nice touches occasionally but regularly he just slows down the attack and always cuts out the space for coutinho to roam in. He has scored 1 goal in 27 which is horrendous. A squad player at best, will be very easy to replace.

14.) 27 Dec 2015 19:40:26
ed he has on plenty of occasions had team mates to pass to in better positions then him but still choose to shoot maybe he feels there not good enough so to try on his own orhe belives he is a better shooter then he is I don't no but one thing he is for sure he is far to inconsistent but on his day world beater that I no but we need him to be having 7 or 8 good games out of ten not 3 or 4. my argument is not about lallana its wats coutinho worth to us 30 40 mil Barcelona or 3/ 4 good games out of ten. can we generate enough from other sales for klopp to be able to make the 3/ 4 signings we need?

{Ed001's Note - when has he had players in a better position and not passed? Usually they are stood still waiting, which means they would be in danger of seeing an already moving defender move past them and reach the ball before they can get going. That is the problem he has. He plays a pass expecting movement and it goes to no one because they are all on their heels and then people like you will criticise him when it is the fault of the team around him. He is simply a class above the likes of Lallana, who run around achieving absolutely nothing in the final third. It would be absolutely moronic to sell him, rather than buy better players to put with him. If Sturridge was fit, then he would link up well with him, as he did with Origi at the start of the Leicester game until his injury. Then he was left with a statue to pass to. Sorry but foolish to sell him at this point.}

15.) 27 Dec 2015 20:03:10
He still can't pass a simple 5yrd ball and that's nothing to do with other players movements
Sometimes in his defence he is trying to hard but I still think he needs to work on the basics and like lallana needs to look up once in a while but i'd rather have them both than sell them.

16.) 27 Dec 2015 20:58:52
Some senseless comments I have read here. Coutinho should be sold? Lallana is better than Coutinho? Lallana works hard and does nothing more hence, should keep getting picked? Lallana offers more than Coutinho? I have read everything. Lallana offers nothing else but hardwork, that's it. That is not a quality. That is the basic ingredient in life that we should all have. We already have Hendo, Can n Milner who are more hardworking than he is so again, what else does he offer? NOTHING. He can't pass, can't shoot, won't look up before crossing, scored one in 25 games and never stopped talking crap in the media since Klopp came here. because Klopp is picking him repeatedly doesn't nullify his inadequacies and worst of all, he has shown no intention to improve as a player. Ed said Lallana should never have been bought and I'm afraid that history has proved him right.

17.) 27 Dec 2015 23:07:30
I though Lallana was the answer when we signed him, I had beautiful dreams of him and Coutinho picking holes through packed defences at Anfield with their tight control and silky flicks and tricks. Unfortunately though he has actually become part of the problem because he holds on to the ball too long allowing the opposition to get back in shape. He's got it in him but just needs to be a bit quicker with everything he does.

18.) 27 Dec 2015 23:19:57
not one post above says Lallana is better then coutinho redohio so I suggest u go back and read again.

19.) 28 Dec 2015 00:57:32
He has one of the best touches in the prem. He's not as slow as people are making out either. He works hard, and had more skill than most on our team . he sometimes takes too many touches but if he had more movemont in front he would create a lot more.

20.) 27 Dec 2015 20:43:16
i no wat your saying ed maybe I just epect more from him all good players make things happen them selves so hopefully he sorts the inconsistency out. on to studge any ifo with him declareing himself fit will he be risked as klopp said no for xmas fixtures. also wat do you think of origi been really pleased for him I think he has been playing really well when he has had the chance cheers.

{Ed001's Note - are you serious? Only the truly great players like Maradona could make things happen themselves more often than he does. You are aware that every time he shoots it is because he is having to make things happen himself? You need to get your head out the clouds if you think that we could do better right now.}

21.) 28 Dec 2015 01:53:19
Their IS movement ahead of him but because he seems to always play with his head down instead of looking up to see who's available for a pass or cross, he can't see it.

{Ed001's Note - not so sure there is a lot of the time, but you are right, he will never know as he is too busy watching his own feet to see.}

25 Jun 2015 13:05:00
Hi Eds, don't you find something a little odd about the konoplyanka situation, sevilla are a huge club that have won recent titles and yet he's holding our for a premier league move, with some sources saying teams like Stoke and Newcastle, any chance we'll look at him once sterling has gone? , especially since we were willing to pay a fair bit for him last January?

CaptainMadface

{Ed002's Note - No, there is nothing odd. He is looking at available options.}

1.) 25 Jun 2015 13:48:14
Its all about the money imo. Sevilla are no doubt a more attractive option if trophies and ambition are concerned but they are financially f****d and will not pay what Stoke or Newcastle can. Imo Kono should move to Sevilla. It will be a big win for all parties concerned.

2.) 25 Jun 2015 14:02:03
Except Kono who as you say will get paid less.

3.) 25 Jun 2015 15:26:20
Kono is after money which is why no one has gotten him yet and which is why we should move on from him now. If you`re that good and free, why hasn`t a soul been able to sign you amongst the plethora of options you have? Red flag, IMO.

19 Dec 2014 15:00:47
Do John Ruddy and Guillermo Ochoa seem viable targets for January, it's seems almost certain we'll go for a keeper and given cechs age and wage demands he'd seem an odd choice, plus Stoke would demand silly money for begovic, espespecially against a rival PL team they know are struggling. Who do the eds rate as better?

CaptainMadface
