Our most linked targets are pretty much all playing the U21 tournament. Might be a quiet few weeks and pick up again after. Mostly hoping for Thuram. Don't like the risks posed by other teams to him. Wish we had agreed with Nice before tournament.

Davey, I hear you. The thing is that if you are looking at good players to sign then it is only normal that other teams are looking at the same players hence, why transfers are unpredictable and can drag out at times while at other times, things accelerate. That's why they can be so messy hence, I don't pay too much attention to it than is required.

With us, I think we start talking to the player and the club (if Klopp isn't tapping him and his whole family up, btw) very early and the, keep it on the low hence, when it happens, it looks quick whereas, it's been in the works for months. I just let things happen and hope for the best cos you really can't control much hence, why worry about it?

Think the Saudi dynamic has changed the market, which has slowed everything down whilst teams see if they can offload players for better money.

I also don't think we're gona have a rebuild at all, 2 mids maybe a centreback, net spend of about 40 million.

Not complaining just don't see matip/ gomez/ thiago going, trent will still play rightback, fabs will start with stefan coming in.

OliEd not that I expect you to reply as you don’t like being called out but you love calling people out.

What’s the difference in your constant backhand digs at Klopp and other posters backhand digs at FSG.

Because every time someone does it about FSG you don’t like it and you proceed to try and give them a dressing down like you’re a somebody.

But it’s a massive contradiction that you’re allowed to do it with Klopp.

I’ll WAIT.

I think it makes sense personally, goes without saying I hope it doesn't happen - but imagine we sign someone now and they pick up a long-term injury during the tournament, that leaves us in a mess and we've been burnt so many times before.

We have a finite amount of resources compared to other clubs and it's vital all of our new signings hit the ground running - so I understand the caution.

It’s all just guess work at the minute.
But I think a lot of fans are going to be let down if they think Mac Alister, Thuram and Kone get us back challenging Manchester City.
(That’s not a dig, don’t get upset)
I’m guessing The rebuild is slow, steady progress. There’s no Van Dijk, Alisson impact coming.

Davey look at it the other way. we agreed thuram and kone before tournament and they both have ACL's or similar and out most of season ahead. Lot of money to risk. but I understand your point also. If thuram has a blinder watch more interest at a bigger fee appear. Looking forward to the tournament myself. More so than watching England.
