So many people calling for Klopp to go. so then who replaces him? Who?

When Olé was in charge at Utd, everyone outside Utd wanted him to stay. I'm pretty sure most outside of LFC wants Klopp to go. Think about this for a while.

Yes we're going through a bad patch, but who else would you have to turn this around?

Klopp has proven me at least that if he is backed properly (top players Ali, VVD etc) then he can win you the league. But you got to do this every year and not just once in 6 years.
He wants Bellingham and Gvardiol! FSG should get him those.

CI or Harry, you know full well that getting Jude and Gvardiol will NOT happen so cut the crap and stop blaming FSG or the club for not doing something you KNOW they will NOT do.

I don’t want Klopp to go but ultimately this is also a problem caused by his own hand. If he can’t work out how to solve it then as much as we love him somebody else needs to.

You can moan about FSG all you want but it’s Klopps job to do the best job he can with what he’s got. If you can’t buy stars then you scout better and you recruit better. Brentford and Brighton are doing wonders on budgets way less than ours. We have done that before (like robbo, salah, mane, Bobby) and need to do that again.

Moreover Klopp knows the weaknesses in our play and has done next to nothing to mitigate it. The lack of a cohesive press and that high line is suicidal. The change in style simply doesn’t suit the players. They know it and Klopp knows it.

What’s more of a concern is Klopps demeanour after these defeats. He genuinely looks like a man who doesn’t know how to change it. He knows what he wants them to do but it just isn’t happening.

Klopp is a fantastic manager and we have been blessed to have him. I hope he finds the answers because it’s so sad to see him like he is at time at the moment.

Personally I’d just like Klopp to come back. I’m convinced Jurgen has taken a sabbatical it’s actually Steve Bruce who’s been managing us all season.

I want Klopp to come back, but I want him to come back with his heavy metal football. I also want a director of football who will make the hard decisions and get rid of players who are not performing or past their prime and get players in who compliment our style. I don't want Klopp making transfer decisions. He should be coaching the team and have faith that the DOF is getting personnel who can play his style of football.

Brentford and Brighton are hardly doing wonders they’re about level with us and haven’t won a thing between them with all this apparent great recruitment. City and Arsenal have done wonders, when we signed the most expensive GK CB and DM of all time then won the CL and PL that was doing wonders. Go out and spend on whoever Klopp wants there’s no point having a top manager if you’re goal isn’t to win and Klopp needs top players to win.

What happened to the FSG will back Klopp with anyone he wants brigade.

Klopp deserves a summer i think but if we start slow and risk making it 3 bad seasons in 4 then time to change, can’t stick with him forever. Football clubs all over the world change managers every season there’s nothing wrong with doing it if he’s not getting results.

What a fantastic response Wassa, and no that isn't a sarcastic comment. I would have said almost the exact same thing, absolutely fantastic thought process mate.

“Brentford and Brighton are hardly doing wonders they’re about level with us and haven’t won a thing between them with all this apparent great recruitment. ”

I’ve been around since the old football rumours page. I’ve seen some bollocks on this site. That is right up there OneKiss.

You appreciate both are on for European football and Brighton have every chance of champions league right? That would be European football in their second season in the top flight for Brentford. Potential champions league football for Brighton.

Depending on your situation being successful isn’t just about picking up the shiny things you get to show off on a bus.

I don’t want Klopp to go but at the end of the day he needs to honest with himself at the end of the season. If he wants to continue this back seat rubbish and allow Pep more control then he needs to say goodbye. I would thank him for the memories and wish he all the best as the German job would suit this semi retirement lifestyle. If his heart is in it then I would like to see the old Klopp. The one that was feared and was ruthless. The one that played attacking, pressing football. Not the one trying to imitate prime Barcelona but ends up resembling a Sunday league team. Not the Klopp that ain’t taking full control of training. And not the Klopp that is making the most bizarre decisions when it comes to formation, tactics and subs. Oh, and not to mention keeping on players until the wheels come off. In short I would like Klopp to stay if it’s actual Klopp and not this weird version of him we have seen of late. Liverpool will be here long after Klopp, the current players and all of us. The club comes first. Always has and always will!

I don’t think anybody wants Klopp to go, but if nothing changes by Christmas, he needs to be sacked. At that point it will have been 18 consecutive months of mind-numbing stupidity, and I don’t think anybody could have any complaints.

As I have said all along, the frightening thing is I don’t see him turning it around, even though I desperately want him to. This seems to be who he is now, a very different manager both in demeanour and in approach.

Of course, there’s no point sacking any manager unless you have a few good ideas of who you could replace him with, so that’s always something to bear in mind.

However, I feel the same as I did during 2014/ 15 under Rodgers, which was the most miserable season of supporting Liverpool I had yet endured. I find it very difficult to give a toss when a manager takes a great side and then runs it into the ground, when the bad decisions are both obvious and numerous, and this only seems to intensify with time.

I don’t have time for anybody who is stubborn and refuses to learn their lesson, and every week I find myself more checked out of anything Liverpool related because of this.

{Ed025's Note - do you think klopp is turning into mourinho mark 2 AW?, came into liverpool and was a breath of fresh air, was the toast of the premiership and brought a sense of humour and had supporters and the media eating out of his hand....then he hit the wall, the smile disappeared and was replaced by a frown a scowl, the football suffered because he believed his own hype and was so stubborn to change things which resulted in him losing his legacy and in the end his job?, just a thought..

I think what's wrong with that analogy ed25 is that different managers have come in2 chelsea and won leagues + European cups due to, in the main, having a massive budget. And most probably will continue to do so. I can't think of any manager who could do what klopp has done with us on our budget.
Only my opinion of course!

{Ed025's Note - the reason I put it out there digger is that all managers however successful do have a shelf life. He has been fantastic for Liverpool and I would hate for him to become a pariah like what happened to wenger and mourinho. I would sooner him say my time is up and it’s time for someone else to take over mate..

I don’t see Klopp as Mourinho mk2, Ed.

However, he does need a reality check. I hope this is it. We’ll know pretty quickly into next season if it’s terminal.

{Ed025's Note - but if it goes tits up FPF that would be another year of disappointment and his legacy further tarnished. He deserves better than that imo mate..

I can see where your coming from ed25,I just can't see a candidate better for the job, even after as disappointing a season as this has been.

{Ed025's Note - I can’t either digger. But when you say disappointing season you still have a chance of top4 mate..that’s how high klopp has raised expectations at Liverpool. I can name a dozen other teams who would bite your arm off for that..

17.) 02 Apr 2023
02 Apr 2023 08:52:44
There is next to 0% chance we get top 4, and we don't realistically deserve to get it.

18.) 02 Apr 2023

Ed25, I see what you are saying. The diff is that Klopp and Jose are built differently as people. Even tho both came thru the ranks the hard way, Klopp believes in community and togetherness during the building process of the team while Jose us a bit more individualistic in his approach. To each their own.

Every manager has a shelf life indeed and even Carlo at RM may have reached his end at RM already BUT the fact is that only time will tell if Klopp has in fact run his race at LFC. We shall see.

{Ed025's Note - why i compared them oli was the way they both came in and were a breath of fresh air to the prem, both took average middle of the road underperforming teams and turned them into world beaters...then it started to fall apart, longevity for managers is a thing of the past imo mate, i dont want klopp to suffer the same fate as boreinho who is seen by most as a pariah, he has done a fantastic job but just like great players you should leave when you are at the top and not overstay your welcome..

Instead of having a go at Harry, answer why, why can we not get both Bellingham and Gvardiol?

We need Klopp to be backed, 100%

We also need Klopp to fix the tactical rubbish that has gone so wrong this season - if Klopp was not our manager, is there honestly another manager you'd want on the planet at Liverpool? Guy embodies everything the club should be for me - we're having what many fans are calling a disaster of a season, yet could actually still make top 4?

That's not a disaster for most clubs, also to be in touching distance of top 4 would've been considered a good season not that many years ago in the pre-Klopp era. It is Klopp that has brought these high expectations to us, back the guy for Christ's sake lads

Back to Harry's point - Bellingham and Gvardiol- why not? If we sold a few, the likes of Jota, Matip, Fabinho, Matip and/ or Gomez, Kelleher, Tsimikas for example, would that not generate needed funds? FSG need to back him too, definitely

We could attract both, it's paying the fees is the concern - is doable. Add to that say Ndicka on a free transfer - Ed 2 mentioned others on free transfers - plus, if we are savvy, as we have been and identify a player at 30-40m that can be coached into a superstar (which Klopp has done before lads) - then it's not truly as bleak as this site makes out at times is it?

Guys, I started supporting the team in the late 80s, saw the end of a cracking team then and have seen a hell of a lot of seasons more bleak than this one. Klopp brought us back to the top and I think he can do it again, needs backed though, both by FSG and also the fans - believe lads, he'll get us there.

Bill, cos we cannot afford both of them with the prices being quoted for them in one summer. It’s that simple cos we simply do not have the finances, judging by what the Ed’s are saying in the podcasts. Also, are you and your bro Harry saying that should we not sign either player or who you want and sign others, means that Klopp hasn’t been backed? Is that how binary your thinking goes?

Also, The way Harry frames it is that if the club don’t do what he wants then, they are guilty if whatever he thinks they are guilty of. Sorry, that is asinine. Unlike many on here, I don’t say we have to get this or that player and if we don’t get them all he’ll will break loose. That’s just setting yourself up for misery esp if you know it more than likely will not happen which I’m sure Harry knows.

Personally, as long as we get the RIGHT players in then, I’m good cos I can’t control who the club signs. It’s not like they can hear me or you or Harry anyway. I don’t take myself that seriously. Others like Harry? Not sure.

Oli seriously? Harrys bro, cos i defended him? I mean by all means disagree with posts but discuss the reasons why! Binary thinking? Where in my post did I say if we don't sign them we don't sign anyone?

I'm all for having a discussion bud but don't just make stuff up - just pitiful

Again, my point, as clear as I can make it - why can we not sign both Gvardiol and Bellingham?

All media posts indicate they would both be interested, the issue is can we afford them? Be a 200m investment in both

I've said that we need investment - 100% needs to happen, reports say FSG will heavily back Klopp - we wait and see to what extent and exactly how much is 'heavily backed'

I've also said we can increase this kitty via player sales and also mentioned signing Ndicka on a free. Even listed a few players - disagree with any of that?

The players already confirmed to be leaving plus maybe some of the ones suggested will save a fortune on wages, making us more profitable as a club

A mix of those 2 big names plus savvy transfers, such as Ndicka on a free is, I think, doable

Please enlighten me how all of this is not - your last reply was just petulant, nothing else - I have made my views here as simple as I can for you, if you need yet further explanation, alas I have neither the time nor the crayons.
