Sorry, add to my last post. Do any of you guys think that the players that left in the summer had such an impact in the dressing room, that moral might have taken a hit. I'm only speculating, but players like origi, although he didn't play a lot might have been the gel that brough certain individuals together. Just a stab in the dark, but something worth discussing.

So you theory is, Trent is being lazy and not chasing back after runners because, he misses Origi's smile? ?.

No, that's not what I'm saying. What im saying is that a great team is made up of good players and great team spirit. Its like when you go to work and and you work with someone you really get on with. Your productivity increases. As I said, it was just something to add to the discussion. I'm a big believer that mindset plays a big part. Anyway, not all our troubles can be blamed on Trent. There are very few that are turning up at present.

Alrite MK hope you are well. You mentioned a couple of days ago Salah was still playing decent and getting goals and assists. For me he is having a shocker and it’s lasted 10 months now. Without Salah somewhere near his best we are not the same team. I agree with your assessment on the defence but Salah can no longer beat a man and the opposition are not scared of him so push up. I am sure he is enjoying the extra 500k a month though.

Salah should've been sold in the summer but the owners did what the fans wanted and gave him wheelbarrows full of cash. Turned out well hasn't it? Arsenal PEA mk2.

Apparently Takumi's hugs were well sought after.

Sorry that i tried to ask a serious question and expect serious answers. Surely you realise dressing room moral and team spirit play a part. Psychology plays a huge part of every day life. Hey, should have just stuck to the same regurgitate posts. Need a new midfield, klopp out. Apologies for trying to come up with something different.

An interesting thought Livmanc, but no I don’t think so. I just think several players that are usually our star performers are out of said form at the same time which we simply cannot cope with but very few teams could. Namely Salah, Trent, VVD and Fabinho. The team spirit and effort is still there otherwise we wouldn’t of fought back so often recently after going behind so often.

Considering the lack of form, that we have only lost two games in the prem this season so far is in hindsight quite remarkable. The only question is how Klopp gets the fear out of our players to play their usual game and put in back in the players of our opponents. That’s the big issue for me. Everyone knows we are vulnerable at the moment and they are going for the jugular, and rightly so.

Think I agree Westwood. I think it's going to take a moment of magic, an epic comeback or something unexpected to give them, like Allison's goal a gew years back to kick start then. Hopefully a performance that no one is expecting against city will be the start, although I'm not looking forward to that game. Yoy never know, we might have a shocker in the league and go all out for champions League. All I know is that I'm thankful for what this team has brought recently and will stand by them. Ynwa is needed now more than ever.

I think manes drive on the pitch as someone who never went hidden was robust got stuck in set the tone at times and missed around the camp of course but hopefully these mentality monsters can move on.

hello Westwood666, your comment above "we have only lost two games all season which in hindsight is quite remarkable", can be counter argued that LFC have only won two games all this premier season (yet to register an away win in the premier league), two wins out of eight games played in the premier, gives you a prem win rate of 25% i would not call that remarkable, as it is wins that take you up the table and not games lost so far this season.

Wins are games not lost, 007.

Liverpoolmanc you raise some good points, someone else brought up the possibility of the players being on a downer after last seasons so near but so far exploits (if I remember right there was a big gap from end of season to CL final) shorter holiday

Personally I think this the most likely reason, also our fixtures haven't been kind, championship winners first game away crowd / team well up for it, MU/ Everton and Arsenal away.

The Salah question is harder to fathom, he seems to be working hard to me yet rarely gets into shooting areas, is this down to new tactics to suit Darwin or Trent moving inside more, I really don't know.

You seem to have intentionally taken my comment completely out of context 007 and I’m not sure why. I have no interest in ‘arguing’ with anyone on here because it’s a waste of my time. Rigsby understands the point I am making. I am not calling a 25% win ratio remarkable, that’s ridiculous. I am saying that given how bad we have been since day 1 this season (asides from the Bournemouth game) it is remarkable we havn’t lost 5 or 6 of the 8 prem games so far, that’s all.

Liverpoolmanc - I understand what you're getting at. You're talking about a player's character and how they contribute to the spirit in the team. Like Origi seemed like he was ok with his role, rarely caused barely a ripple in the dressing room. I think there is something in that but it is really difficult to assess without knowing someone in the team or seeing them every day. Maybe Square Tomato has some inside knowledge from Joe. G about how the environment has changed.

one thing for sure I know from being in teams is that when the chips are down, it's everything except for specific talent that makes the difference in performance. It becomes about chemistry, friendship, leadership, how people are communicating, how we motivate each other to bring out our best etc etc etc.

The team environment is the area that Klopp specialises in, and his ability in this area and its importance are badly underestimated and overlooked by a large section of fans.
Klopp puts massive effort into creating a positive happy environment where players can reach their potential. It means all his staff need to work with the same mentality, and players that are signed need to have the right characteristics to fit in.
For as much as fans want to see players kicked up the backside, punished, dropped, sold and all other negative aspects Klopp does the opposite. He nurtures and teaches. Take away that fear of failure and allow players to express themselves within the framework of his team.
It's amazing how many fans really don't grasp this simple concept. Anyone who has ever dealt with people management will tell you results don't improve by punishing/ slagging/ berating staff who aren't performing to their usual standards.
It calls for a bottomless pit of patience and understanding which Klopp is legendary for.
That is what Klopp's legacy will be for this club, not just winning trophies. Unfortunately many fans will never grasp that.

Brilliantly done, Flash. Oh and let me add one more thing. As much as we can all crow for players to come, if said player is trouble and an absolute head case or a big time Charlie, Klopp will NOT touch him with a ten foot pole regardless of how much we all cry about it.

Klopp believes in creating a great atmosphere for his players to thrive in and off the pitch hence why regardless of how a player we dislike plays, Klopp will NEVER target him in public, something the dreadful Thomas Tuchel is VERY good at, just check his record. I have read and watched so many interviews of Klopp saying how these things are MORE important to him than the actual ability a player (s) has. He said once, "I would like my players to be nice boys". See what I mean?

That's why you will NEVER see any of our players getting Jack Grealish-ed at nightclubs or Ross Barkley-ed and being carried out of pubs. People need to understand these intricate things cos winning trophies does not only stem on footie ability of the team. There are many OTHER things that come into it.
