I do hope now that Klopp has had eye surgery he takes a fresh look at Adama Traore and accepts that no amount of coaching will ever make him liverpool quality.

Yesterday he was clean through against leicester with only the goalkeeper to beat and he did not even hit the target.

I would rather liverpool did not sign anybody if this type of mediocrity is the only choice on offer.

I accept money is tight for lfc and bearing that in mind we have to make every penny count.

What does he offer that we could not get from Harvey Elliot or even kade gordon?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool remain interested in Traore.}

Ed002- thanks for the reply i usually trust klopp's judgement but on this occasion i just don't get what he sees in him.

I hope you and your loved ones are keeping well.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

KK7 like you, only Klopp can tell me what he sees in AT cos right now, I cannot see it for the life of me.

United fan here, Adama hasn't pulled up trees but there is definitely a player in there. And if anyone can get it outta him it's Klopp.

Klopp imo does not like footballers who are the finished article hence why he seems to greatly improve the players at his disposal. So he likes his speed and obviously thinks he can improve him to score. Personally, I would play him as the attacking midfielder, I think he'd be great at that.

He would certainly get us up the pitch quickly.

He surely adds more than shaq or origi. The way we play (pre lockdown) was to continually play high up the pitch and press (in a clever way) . Teams tend to tire against us due to the hard work to keep us out. He does lack end product but imagine him coming off the the bench with 20 to go against really tired players. I think he could be useful for us.

Klopp has openly expressed his admiration for Traore, but does that mean he would sign him for Liverpool?

If Origi goes and we signed Traore he would contribute more than Origi has for the past 2 season. I have seen Salah Mane Jota Bobby all miss one on ones but nobody seems to think there awful Mbappe missed few in the euros but his still rated the best young footballer in world football. The other season Traore ripped city a part. Jota’s value has gone up since joining us so who knows what Traore could do if he signed.

you cannot fairly compare salah or Mbappe with Traore.
Yes the players you have mentioned have all missed easy chances the difference being is that they have the goals to back up there reputations.

How much longer can he dine out on that performance vs Man city? and what has he done since then?

When Mbappe leaves PSG he will have the worlds top clubs interested in signing him, Wolves will be relieved when somebody takes Traore off there hands.

Simply put his goals and assists ratio are woeful for a top flight footballer, having the speed to get you into those positions is a waste of time if there is no end product.

Sarr from watford looks a better option for me at least he provides assists and goals and has the potential to get even better.

A miracle comparable to the loaves and the fishes would have to happen to get AT anywhere near the level liverpool fc require.

If one our rivals were rumoured to be signing him we would roll over laughing.

Agree with Red Whiskey above, he would also provide what Origi more often than not doesn’t, a physical presence, as well as phenomenal pace,
Origi is something of a gentle giant, I wish he were like Mark Hughes was - quiet and unassuming off the pitch and a real nasty **** on it, lol.

Traore is decent but not sure I would want us to spend a big fee on him considering we don’t have much of a transfer budget. Traore appears to not have an end product because last season he was missing Jota and Jiminez, the season before he had 18 goals and assists which isn’t too shabby for a mid table team. After all imagine Salah and Mane’s stats without Bobby playing, they would be worse than Traore’s 😜.

"He'd provide more than Origi" is fine if we can selling Origi covers the price of Traore. But that's not going to happen.

Not match of the day fever but I would love Son. Guy is quality and plays with a smile on his face.

There’s really no player there. He has absolutely no end product. The miss against Leicester sims him up. couldn't even test the keeper. No composure, no finesse, no tangible ability. You could spend the next millennia trying to teach him how to pass or shoot and it would be wasted time as he just hasn’t got the skills.

I like Traore. All ya'll just looking at what you say he can't do. he has pace, is direct, can put in a good cross. I have no idea about his mentality or character so won't comment. But I would say that there is enough talent there for Klopp to mould into a player for us.

Doing more than Origi is not a bar I would use to sign a player cos at that point, there is NO bar. Just saying.

All players miss when clean through on goal. Firmino often does. Mane did for much of last season.
