A few reports are saying that Man U are looking to sign Benteke, or are these just scare stories to push into signing or moving on Eds?
{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you mean by "scare stories". Manchester United interest in a striker is elsewhere - not Benteke.}

Is benteke not an alternative to United if they miss out on their first choice?

I was going to mention that allyblfc, a lot of our fans have been slating him and talking about he's the opposite of what we need, all the mancs I've spoken too believe they are signing him and can't wait to sign him up.
They reckon he's a great striker and they say it's going to be sweeter as they've gotten one over on us. Funny how opinions vary eh?

I'd guess that a lot of Liverpool or United fans haven't seen enough of Benteke to form a sensible opinion - I certainly haven't. What I do know is that his stats look good (which is good) but that he's apparently a big lump who won't suit our playing style (whatever that actually is).
I think that because he's not coming from a top foreign club then folk think he's rubbish. As he's got PL experience I'd probably take him ahead of someone like Higuain who has spent his career in slower or less physical leagues.
I just hope he doesn't turn out to be more money wasted.

It could be a media trick to make Man utd look weak when Benteke finally signs for us. Certainly wouln't be the first time.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool fans are seemingly of the opinion that media hacks sit around the office plotting stories about Liverpool. In reality they can be found in cheap bars playing spoof - which is difficult when they have palms on both sides of their hands.}

I think Ings will fit in very well into what Klopp wants from a forward and that is part of the reason why I cannot see Benteke staying at LFC beyond the summer.

I was pleasantly surprised by Ings before his injury and can only see him improving under Klopp.

Gone the days supporters support the club, they rather slag the club off. I'm put off coming on here to read the endless team slagging.
Klopp is a manager that will give players the chance to prove them selfs, play well stay.
I have read that he works on a years contract at a time regardless of the true length. So let see what he thinks in the summer and start judging him next year if you really have too.

It's not just here it's at anfield too. The atmosphere is poison. Sick of hearing players being ripped to shreds. I appreciate you pay your money and it's your right but it makes for a very unpleasant 90 mins.

I dislike posts like this. What do you expect? Endless posts of hopeless optimism? Support for a bunch of players on huge contracts that can't do basic things on a pitch, it's excusable every now and then, but it is happening week in week out, with a bunch of players that didn't perform this badly at their previous clubs, so really posts like this are stupid. We have never finished below 8th in the league and we are projected to do that at the moment. We lose to teams we should beat. We have an endless list of problems and they have piled up ever since klopp came in. Short term we are a mess, long term I still have faith in klopp but a lot will depend on the players we get in the summer and for some reason I feel like I won't be surprised by the players that might come.

I'm sure Untitd are not the only other Prem Team gutted that Klopp has joined us, we are privallged to have him as our manager as any other team would be.
I don't agree we don't have the wingers, the ones we have will soon be transformed, Ibe will be something special under Klopp.
