Sky sports just said VVD leaves training ground in a blacked out car. Are they toying with us or is this a glimmer of hope? Guess he could just be going home 😂.

Hi Eds

I was wondering if you could do a summary of how you think Klopp has done so far? Do you see enough to suggest that with time and clearing out the dead wood and to make a few signings and develop s few of the youngsters he can have us challenging at the top end of the table?

{Ed001's Note - far too early to make a judgement, but it does look better under Klopp. He needs time though, the club was left in a complete mess.}

Agree, the style of play and chances we create has clearly improved, but we have 2-3 key gaps to fill. If he can show the ability to recruit wisely in the summer we'll be well ahead of where we were.

Thanks ed I completely agree. I have seen enough to suggest that if the club and us fans give him time he can start to turn us around and push us back up the league.

Do you get any idea how he sees the job now he is here. Was he fully aware the size of the task he had taken on?

{Ed001's Note - he knew what he was getting himself into, he just needs time to get used to English football.}

He definitely has had no time to train the players because they have so many games.
How do you develop when you have only 3 days between games. I doubt we'll see any significant changes until next season at the earliest.

I'm still not entirely sure what our style of play is yet?

Ok, we press more. I can see us pressing using certain triggers, but with the ball, I don't know what our style is yet? Some half decent interchanges in and around the box, Hendo seems to be the runner, ala Lampard into the box. I don't know. Does anyone? This is not a critical post by the way, I just don't quite see what we're aiming for yet. I didn't watch Dortmund enough to see whether we're heading down that route.

Cheers.

Hi Eds

Just a quick question keeping up to date with Klopps press conference and from what he said in his first it seems the press frenzy has come as a surprise to him and it's not something he is enjoying. I was just wondering are the press in this country more intrusive and difficult to deal with than in other countries and if so do you know of any managers or players who have struggled that much with them it has contributed to them moving abroad?

Lancsred80

{Ed002's Note - Generally they are more of an issue in England. In many countries individual journalists often stick to reporting on one club alone. They tend not to care too much about personal matters (who cares of he drinks and smokes, if he womanises, if he dresses as one of the Thunderbirds characters in the evening, if he has a three legged dachshund called Bernard, if he likes country & western music etc.) as much as the English press. Obviously it does vary country to country. I can think of two players who did not settle in the UK simply because of pressure from the press and returned to mainland Europe - but I can also think of one who did not settle in Turkey and left because of the press.}

Why would a three -legged Dachsund be called Bernard? Surely Franz Barkenbauer would be more fitting.

Hi Eds and reds

Like everyone else I am beyond excited to have Klopp as manager and genuinely think given the time to work we could be entering an exciting and successful era.

My general question is he the kind of manager if building success would stay and build a legacy and be around beyond his 3 or 4 year contract. Or is the kinda guy that if a Real Madrid or Bayern come knocking he wouldn't be able to resist?

I know it would only be a guess but hoping maybe you have heard the kind of character he is. Guess I'm hoping now we have a top class manager he will stay a long time and really build us back among the European elite (which I know is going to take some time)

{Ed001's Note - he was at Mainz 05 for 7 years, then moved to Borussia Dortmund and was in charge there for 7 years.}

I think Klopp, as he's stated in many interviews, is truly a football romantic. His passion and emotion are such that in the right conditions (I.e. Mainz and BvB) he will stay until he thinks it is best for BOTH parties to seperate.

Hi eds

Just seen on the Arsenal page that Vidal will probably move and not to be surprised to see a player going the other way.

Have we shown any interest and are Juventus interested in any players we are looking to move on maybe skrtel or Borini or possibly even Markovic if his time is up?

Thanks for any information keep up the great work

Lancsred80

{Ed002's Note - No.}
