Liverpool Football Club have made a formal bid for Southampton captain Adam Lallana.

The Premier League transfer window opened at midnight last night and the Reds have wasted no time in stepping forward with a formal offer for the attacking midfielder.

Liverpool have allegedly already agreed a package with Lallana via his agent after the player indicated that he wanted to seal a dream move to Anfield. However, at the time of writing permission hasn't been granted for the Reds to discuss a potential deal and that won't happen until Southampton accept a bid. Obviously any claims of any discussions between ourselves and the Lallana camp would be denied at this point.

Morning Ed's, I read earlier in one of your replies that the "ins" would depend on the "outs"
I read somewhere that we would be looking to of load Martin Kelly, i'm not so sure that's on the cards but my question to you is Who do you see moving on this summer.

{Ed002's Note - I would expect Toure, Sakho, Kelly and Flanagan to stay. Coates will certainly leave. Cissokho will go after his loan. Coady may well leave. I don't know about Robinson, Wisdom, Ilori, McLaughlin or Sama. One or perhaps two of Enrique, Johnson, Agger and Skrtel may well leave.

Afternoon eds, may I ask, has there been any real interest in Balotelli?
I have to admit, I'm feeling a bit on the confused side, I know there's life after LS but where is that kind of talent likely to come from now? We don't, dispite rumours have mega money to replace him talent for talent, so what next?
1, where if anywhere has that talent up for grabs
2, do you think BR would see Balotelli as a replacement?

Slightly off topic but can anyone clarify the average expected purse for getting past the qualification stage of the CL please. Also do you think BR will be allowed to use the equivalent to put towards his pot for the summer transfers? Thanks guys
