Good day ed from South Africa over here. Big fan and keep up the great work.
I've asked this on the banter page and well, banter ensued it alas no response. As I said l, I enjoy both your insights and football acumen. Therefore, with our limited funds and CL footu pending ( body parts crossed we get there) on your humble but brilliant opinion, what alternative yet suitable players could Pool look to strengthen or add more depth to our squad.
Your response (s) would be greatly appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure that Champions League football will have a significant impant on the summer but money is a serious issue for the club. The club will not buy for the sake of buying and need to look to using some of the very good youngsters they have so the focus will likely turn to bringing in replacements for those leaving if youngsters are not ready to step up. Money will come from selling players who do not need players purchased to replace them (e.g. Grujic, Wilson, Miller, Awoniyi, Ojo, Minamino) but if Liverpool overprice the players they won't be able to sell them. There are plenty of players who can replace the likes of Wijnaldum if he leaves and that together with sorting out the CB situation will be priorities.}

The club has needed to move on squad players / those on loan for a number of windows. I like the idea of this being the summer it happens to allow the younger players to now try take their chance.

First and foremost, I am a fan of this page from South Africa and adore your insights, opinions and sayings (always a good laugh) .
I respect your opinions on both the players and knowledge about football in general. By far better than many of the writers for the main media and twitter "in the knows". I just wanted to say how much I and many of your followers appreciate the work and efforts you put in and the frustration oh so many of us have put on you.
So let me ask you on favour if you would oblige me?
As I said I enjoy your opinion and insights. knowing what the team need and their limitations in terms of funds. Do you have any alternatives or under the radar options, that in your opinion the club and Klopp should consider?
Again, if you would at all oblige this poor soul.

I think David Villa would be brilliant if we bring Torres back.
As an aside. Derby have a fantastic CF - Clough, I think his name is - who would work brilliantly alongside Greavsie (if we could nab him from Chelsea) .
However, I’m quite happy with Billy Liddel, and think he could be even better than Dixie Dean.

good day eds fellow reds from all over. i'm from South Africa and been a fanbof this site when I happened upon it way back in 2012. always wanted to write but every1 asks (often at your nauseum eds) what i wud.
so first let me thank you for an amazing site (s) and for all the hard work u do. from yhe majority on here it is not unnoticed an appreciated.
lastly, apologies for the long post but i'm alwyas interested in what your views are eds. so would like to ask for a summary of players you would bring to the attention of Klopp if u had 10min of his time.
ive seen Mitrovic play and ed 02 did say he would of been more appropriate for us. so could u indulge us please with your opinions would add ro our squad if they gave u guys the purse string?
{Ed001's Note - Jan Oblak, Mattia Perin or, if Kevin Trapp is going to keep him out of the team, Sirigu for goalie.
Someone such as Mustafi, possibly Murillo of Inter or maybe Musacchio of Villareal. Knoche of Wolfsburg has looked decent on the few times I have seen him play. Veltman of Ajax could be worth a closer look as well for centre back.
Not sure what other positions I would want to prioritise until I knew for sure who was going.}

001 what do you make of Diego Lopez. I watched him closely at madrid where I thought he was very good and should have easily replaced casillas. He's now been replaced by a 16 year old at ac milan but if reports are to be believed this youngster is top notch and losing a place to him shouldn't be disheartening.
I haven't watched him for 2 years though. Could you give input. For me if he's still close to the player I saw at real I think he could be an option.
{Ed001's Note - he was crap at Madrid though! He has never been any good and he just got lucky to be there as a back up when Casillas was being a pain. He was never anywhere near good enough to be a number one.}

The kid (Donnarumma) initially got a chance because Lopez isn't that good; he is excellent though, Donnarumma, playing way above what you'd expect for a 'keeper of his age.
I'd take Jan Oblak in a heartbeat though.
