Gotta say I'm annoyed Klopp has chosen to manage Liverpool. for obvious reasons. The main being I always imagined he would be a Unitrd manager one day, which now is extremely unlikely to ever happen.

You've managed to bag an absolute beast of a manager, a man who makes the most out of what he has. Which is going to be vital for you guys this season in the search for top 4. I think he will make an instant impact but it's hard to see you strengthening enough to bag it this season. Just my opinion.

January transfer window as we all know isn't a great time to buy, and I think he'll likely go back to Dortmund for some players. But with your lack of wingers and the lack of wingers likely to be available I don't see how you can make the most of your best players Benteke, Coutinho etc. And that is why I think you guys will fall just short this season.

But next season will be a different story, I think when he gets to bring in some players and put his stamp on the team the premier league will see a resurgence from Liverpool, as much as I'd hate to see it.

Thanks KingCantona is good to hear polite comments between rivals club fans rather than all the general crap us fans usually shout out.

I'm sure Untitd are not the only other Prem Team gutted that Klopp has joined us, we are privallged to have him as our manager as any other team would be.

I don't agree we don't have the wingers, the ones we have will soon be transformed, Ibe will be something special under Klopp.

A realistic post from our rival. I also feel we may fall just short. As Klopp said "wonders rarely happen." You never know though with Chelsea struggling. Other teams could slip up too. Realistically speaking though I think this season will be all about changing the teams philosophy, rebuilding confidence, installing belief. This will lay the groundwork for next season. Of course miracles do happen so I ain't ruling anything out.

United fan in peace here!

Just want to say as Gerrards career in the EPL comes to an end, what a pleasure and nightmare he was to watch especially against ourselves.

I wouldn't take him over scholes, just as I'm sure you wouldn't take scholes over Gerrard. Tinted specs and all that.

But I honestly cannot think of one performance more awe inspiring and heartfelt than the Istanbul final. He was tackling left, right and centre. Ran the pitch a thousand times over and single handedly inspired the club to go for the glory. That is one thing I think many football fans forget. It's unfortunate that he hasn't won the league, as much as I like saying it. I guess it does put a downer on his PL career. But to be fair to the lad he won a champions league pretty much by himself. Which is a feat not many players could ever boast.

Personally think you're going to be losing a lot of character and soul with him leaving and like we have seen with uniteds old guard leaving, it may take longer to steer through the void he will obviously leave.

It's a shame as you won't see footballers like him, giggs or scholes anymore. There is just simply no loyalty left in the game.

One of a kind, absolutely phenomenal player and I can say I only have the utmost respect for Stevie, loved his slip though! Sorry! Couldn't resist!

Good luck to him in LA.

If take Gerard over any player . Scholes could not tackle or play multiple positions at he's level . Sick of this rediculous comparison . Scholes wasn't even Utd best player when Keane was there . Nice message from u al the same . But I know scholars instead of Gerard we would be lesser side . And the opposite way around he would have improved Utd . Complete

Not comparing the two, completely different players but as a United fan as much as I'd of loved to have Gerrard I wouldn't have swapped scholes for him.

Liverpools defence is no better though ed to be fair. Seems to be the downfall of both teams. City other than kompany and zabaleta are a defensive nightmare also. Chelsea's solid back line didn't win them the league but it certainly helped.

The only player who scored plenty in that league and became a success? I assume you must mean our very own ruud van nistelrooy as I fail to recall any dutch Liverpool players as a success. Unless you class kuyt as a success.
