Wise up
I wanted depay to join united for the cost and not needing another winger.
DepaY is a good fast player who will cost united close to 30milion. They may afford this but we cannot when we have not one top class fit' striker, a goalkeeper needing replaced and a midfielder in.
DepaY has not been mentioned by one Liverpool fan before he was rumoured' and he was always set for united. We haven't missed out on messi, people need to get a grip.
And it would be criminal for us to spend yet more millions on an unproven young player in a position that is full at club. There is sterling Ibe, markovic and lallana plays wide attacking positions.
If we are spending 25-30 million even if it is from sterlings sale, it should be towards a top striker and goalkeeper.

None of which have ever scored double figure in a season much more 21 goals???? having had Depay would be similar to Messi for us as we have no goal scoring threat

It is the Dutch league. The only player who scored plenty in that league and was a success was a previous past player of ours who we are all aware of.
And Ibe who i believe will be a top class player has yet to be given a proper chance in the team never mind a run of games. Markovic is settling and I do expect lallana to reach double figures next season (10_15 goals). Lallana is an outstanding player

The only player who scored plenty in that league and became a success? I assume you must mean our very own ruud van nistelrooy as I fail to recall any dutch Liverpool players as a success. Unless you class kuyt as a success.

Depay would have covered any position across the front line or been able to play as twin striker whereas Sterling, Countinho, Llalana, Markovic more no.10's or wingers rather than natural forwards. Ibe is probably closest thing but still young.

I would have loved to see Depay but LVG was always going to be likely to be too big hurdle if Man U wanted him.

Onwards and upwards, just hope we sign someone else as good eg. Vietto

Every time there is a rant about its only the Dutch league or its only the French league as if the Epl is so superior to every other league yet they can't reach anywhere in the champions league. No matter what league you are in a goal is a goal and all the leagues have good keepers so stuff that narrow minded idea somewhere else. Depay has done phenomenal regardless of what league he is playing and would have been great for us as our top scorer combined with all our other top scorers probably still ain't equal to his total in the league.

Kingcantona, you don't have to be a dutch national to play in the dutch league. Suarez is who the reference is to, a player who makes van nistleroy look like a 3 legged donkey.

When Suarez beats Ruud's goal tally, maybe you can make a comparison.

Different players, but Ruud was a better Goal scorer IMO.
