Morning all, just wondering who are we likely to offload this summer? I believe Liverpool have a really bright future under Klopp but not with some of the players we've got at the min.

For me, Benteke has to be the first out the door, never rated him, didn't support the transfer to us and hope he's gone soon.

Dare I say it, I really can't see him moving on in the summer but Henderson. Personally he just doesn't cut it for me. I want to be impressed by him but I'm not. We need better.

Allen, needs to be moved on.

Skrtel has had his time, I feel he's past it now.

Mignolet isn't good enough, get rid.

Then there's incomings, is there anyone we have solid interest in? I understand its probably too early to know but more then anything I'd like to see us bringing in a top keeper, I feel we need it desperately.

I'm looking at Ings as a new signing again, who I'm really excited about returning to full fitness. I think he will be incredible for us under klopp, him and firmino? Brutal, not to mention a fully fit Sturbridge in the mix. I think our attacking options aren't bad at all.

Coutinho, firmino. Amazing
Lallana, will get better, can see him improving already

Thoughts.

It's rare you can say this but if you don't rate Hendo, you're just wrong.

Hjikle and you rate him? That's fine. But I don't believe I'm wrong, I really hope of course that I'm proved wrong. But I can't see it happening, he's average at best. Liverpool can do/ deserve better.

As Shankly himself put it, football is like playing the piano, you need 8 to carry it and only three who can play it. Hendo is a piano carrier and open of the best we have at doing the hard yards.

We don't need a team of 11 stars, we need all types to complement each other, just ask Leicester how important that can be with Kante and Drinkwater ensuring that Mahrez and Vardy can express themselves.

Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge are the ones capable of making music on the back of the rest of the teams hard work.

Agreed on most points, disagreed on Henderson. Of course, you are in your right not to rate him. Personally I like him very much, he was a key and VERY underappreciated part of everything good shown by the club in the last few years, and I hope he can be again.
You say that he is average, but what do you mean by that? That he does not score enough goals? Few central midfielders do that, especially if they have to play deep. We could replace him with a specialist DM or a speacialist playmaker, who would be better than him in one aspect of the game - but I can think of very few players that can fill in both the offensive and defensive contribution of a CM that we need in this system.

hjikle& Jürgen, it doesn't matter whether you are right or wrong because the only persons opinion that matters is Klopp's.

Strange you say Hendo after he's just had his best game since he has been back against one of leagues best teams 😞.

Regarding Hendo. Some fans need to be careful what they wish fo, because sometimes.

I understand why people think Henderson is average, however I wouldn't get rid of him, no way. He just shouldn't be the focal point of our play, we need a more naturally talented player.

I see Henderson as one of those kids that has worked and worked and worked to get the best from his ability. That's a great thing and a very good example for younger players, but he naturally doesn't have the core talent to be the focal point of a team looking to win the title. That's my view.

Can he pass? Yes, to a good level but nothing out of the ordinary.

Can he dribble? Um, not really. He's a tad rigid so doesn't really have that natural balance to go off either foot. It's more in straight lines.

Does he score? Not really, but I think it's more down to him trying the perfect finish instead of just hitting the target. I think he'll get a lot of goals soon enough though.

Does he tackle? Again, not really. He's not brave to put it bluntly so shirks a challenge and doesn't commit fully. He likes to shout off a bit (linesman and ref) but his actions speak otherwise when it comes to the tougher side of the game.

Can he influence the game? I think he's getting there. On times, I can see it.

So, what does he do well? For me, he would be great alongside a Luka Modric type player. A player that is the technical hub of the team allowing Henderson to do everything well without the pressure of being the focal point. His energy, effective passing, excellent pressing, clever running and good positioning would work well alongside a more technically gifted central midfielder. That's my view.

Hendo makes a difference on the pitch. Look how we crumbled in the middle of the park against Soton without him. he's been playing with an injury and still done a good job. He's a hard worker and can continue to become better and better. Definitely not a player worth removing.

Sure I understand why people stand by him. but I stand by what I say, he's not good enough and never will be, it's not because he doesn't score goals, its because he doesn't do anything! sure he has the odd decent game but its a rare occurrence having said all this at the moment he is a Liverpool player so will get my support, I hope he improves, I just feel a team like Liverpool can do better. who knows, maybe I'm living in the past a little too much. but one things for sure, he's no Gerrard and never will be.

Mignolet has a new 5 yr contract, we won't be getting rid as Klopp clearly rates him.

Jurgen I agree with everything you say even regarding Hendo to some extent. If we have definite top four ambitions then Hendo playing central is not good enough especially playing with an injury that nobody knows when it's going to be cured. CM is such a vital position, it allows the attackers to play and provides cover for the defence. There is no room for sentiment in football. I don't think we should get rid of him, if fit he is a force to be reckoned with and his effort is second to none but as a base for our team to be built around? At this present time, No.

So jurgen when we almost won the league how did we go when he was 'doing nothing' on the bench? He isn't spectacular but nor is he trying to be. He was arguably the reason why we didn't win the league, not Gerard's slip. He's been injured and not in form but that doesn't put him in that bracket of 'not good enough and never will be' because statements like that just make you sound clueless. He was one of the best players on the pitch against Spurs? So explain that' never will be'.

Jeurgen, your post about Hendo "doing nothing on the pitch" shows exactly how little you know about the game. if there`s aplayer who does next to nothing on the pitch, said player would be Milner but I digress. We have seen what Hendo can do when he is fit and firing, which is NOT the case here as he is carrying an injury YET still wants to play and contribute. Your slating him lacks substance as you are kicking a man when he`s down. Pathetic attitude, really.

Ron Keague - Just because Mignolet has a new 5 yr contract doesn't mean he will automatically be 1st choice, I personally would like to see Mignolet stay on as 2nd choice keeper.

Redohio. Finally someone has said something of relevance on this matter! Henderson has a heel problem and cannot perform to his own required level.
Been covered by himsel. Eds on here and other posters.
Really do need to do some investigating on matters before there posted.

Any hope that LFC will have of finishing in the top4 next season will evaporate if Migs starts the season as our first choice GK. He is a massive liability at the back and not fit to be 1st choice at an ambitious club. Would rather we keep Ward as 2nd choice and sign a quality 1st choice GK in the summer.

Jurgen I think your spot on hendo is definitely not a player to build a team around. He not too class in any aspect of the game apart from running around a lot bless him. Captain no way! A poster listed his pro's and cons above and I think they were spot on and certainly don't read like a a cv for a midfield captain for now and the future.
Yes he been injured this season so not at 100% but even when at 100% he still doesn't possess the attributes. The system we currently play requires him to be a deep lying mid when he is naturally box to box. He has never developed as a box to box because of Bodgers constant changes and mismanagement of every player in the squad. Hendo does not fit his current position and the system ain't changing.
With regards to his injury costing us the title? Ho home your drunk.
A great lad works hard but not enough if we want to move forward. Everything behind the front three is on thin ice and is replaceable watch this space.

Bogdan, Enrique, Toure, Allen, Benteke, Luis Alberto, Balotelli, Yesil, Tex, Ilori, McLaughlin, Dunn, Lloyd Jones, Jordan Williams, Maguire, Markovic and perhaps one of Lallana or Milner, will be the outs IMO.

Agreed Redman11 with everything you say.

Redohio so I know nothing about the game because I don't rate our captain who has done literally nothing? ok then mate you have your opinion and I'll have mine, doesn't mean to say I know nothing about the game lol that's got nothing to do with it, we're discussing a player who you clearly rate. for some odd reason.

I knew it would be a sore subject to bring up but it actually surprises me how many people think so highly of him. again, he has the ODD good game. yet some of you act like he's incredible? come off it there's miles better out there I can think of loads in the premier league alone who i'd much rather have.

Mark my words, we get into the champions league he will not have a place in this team, not under klopp he won't.

Redohio

Don't fool yourself. It's not completely of his injury. Klopp plays a 3 men midfield with one sitting and one slightly pushing forward of Both sitting deep. Hendo and Can are asked to to do this duty which is the real issue behind his lack of goals. Can is positionally poor leaving Hendeson to sit deep and cover his back.

Play Henderson high up else he isn't scoring goals regardless of any injury.

Wrong DG, Klopp plays two in CM with Firmino as the supporting striker behind the striker. Klopp considers him as a striker and not a mid, per Ed01. Again, people have very little idea what their talking about and just slate the boy for pathetic reasons. Leave the boy alone and let him play and recover from his heel injury. We trash players who lack bottle and loyalty yet we have one with both in abundance yet he is slated and kicked when he's down. As I posted before, this is a pathetic attitude. Hendo is phenomenal when on form and this is coming from someone who wanted him gone when BR arrived but he won me over. Some may not want him as capt nor at the club and that's fine but to say that he does nothing or isn't good enough is just nonsense as we have video evidence of the contrary.
