Ed2, may I follow up on something you wrote about Andre Trindade. Not trying to be awkward, just trying to better understand something. You mentioned that Fulham have worked on deal to overcome the issue of Fluminense only owning 80% of his rights and agreed a fee with Fluminense in January, but it will only happen should Palhinho leave in the summer and the player agrees. Is it quite common for deals to be worked on as contingency plans for clubs which are specifically longer term contingencies? Obviously this must throw up all sorts of issues with regard to agreed deals not then being delivered and unsettling players. Any info is appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Fulham were expecting Paulinho to leave and would have teken him regardless. The player rejected the move at that time. Clubs work on potential transfers year around.}

This may not be popular or even viable but if Liverpool believe Bajcetic is the long term DM/ 6 solution, replacing Endo with Palhinha would be a step up in quality and not unduly impede development.

Price might be a problem but perhaps this summer competition for his signing is less and Fulham are open to doing a deal.

More of a general query for any Eds and for the fans I suppose.

Let's be realistic and consider that Bellingham is as likely to go somewhere else as he is to come.

If he / Dortmund choose someone else, how realistic would it be to push for Tchouameni and Gravenberch, and would we be happy with this?

If we would've pulled this off a few seasons ago, we would've been buzzing with these two signings and it's obvious they are quality players.

Just a general question for anyone really, and I'm not looking for a multi-way argument on here. Happy Easter all and cheers to the Eds for all their hard work on this site.

computer says no.

Certainly doesn’t sound like a terrible idea, that would be playing it smarter. I doubt either of them are actually available though.

I asked about Tchouameni yesterday (as he hasn’t played much for Real) but Ed2 has confirmed no plans to sell. In all fairness I’d take any of

Bellingham
McAllister.
Gravenbach
Barella.
Rabiot

Plus others.

Good players that would have been regarded as smart and necessary business last summer.

The opportunities have changed now as has the impact required.

I think we've already "signed* him. Just a matter of time till he's in our lineup.

What does "impact required" even mean?
If they don't perform like Messi on their debut then get rid of them?
Any player pulling on a Liverpool shirt has expectations to live up to. That level of expectation doesn't change because of a poor season or run of poor results.
I wonder if Klopp will run his list of targets past posters on here to make sure he gets their seal of approval.
