News breaking that we have made an enquiry over the Defender Ed01 mentioned a while ago. Hancko, perfect for the left side of a 3, if we going to go for the inverted trent.
He can hit them vertical long balls like Virgil does.

Ed001, you're showing your age mate. You definitely name dropped him because I'm incredibly sad and have a note on my phone of all the players you and Ed002 have tipped/ mentioned. In my notes I've got "Hancko, Feynoord - a maybe (Ed001 May 2023)" ?.
{Ed001's Note - I really am getting old! I like him and that, but I didn't remember that at all. I probably should keep a note of what I say, as clearly I can't rely on my memory!}

On the First of May Ed 01, somebody asked you for possible Defensive recruits that you would short list for the Summer. Hancko was one of about 5 you put up mate.

You definitely recommended Bobby as one we should go for Ed. I think he was the first you have gotten right after years of recommending Gary Medel ?.

A nice post Rummy. Sometimes you just need to reflect on what makes you happy and if its discussing a football match on a live chat with people you have one common interest in, then I am glad that it gives you a satisfying feeling to keep engaging and offering your opinions on the club we love.
I remember yrs ago, going in the old Kop standing with 7 others, mainly family members. My Uncle took me to the game with my brother, a family friend and my cousins, (because my dad was a blue and wouldn't be found dead in the place. )
Through the years our party started to dwindle, because of a variety of reasons but mostly the deaths of My Uncle and then my brother, until it was just me, sitting on my own, but still discussing the game with a new group of people and instead of hearing my Uncle telling me that Roger Hunt was the greatest he saw and how he would have never of missed a chance that Tosh, Kenny or Rush had just spurned. I now had fat Eddie behind me shouting abuse at Fernando Morientes. Telling everybody that Rush would have buried that!
I gave my season ticket up when my sons were at an age to go and I couldn't afford the price for 3 of them. I have taken my lads to a lot of games and have turned into my Uncle, by telling my lads how Dalglish would of made Darwin a 30 goal a season striker, or how Souness and Mcmahon would have been sent off in the first 5 minutes with that referee or VAR.
I am sure in the future my lads will be having discussions with their friends and children about the game and reminiscing about players gone by.
Sites like this are fantastic for bringing people together even if it brings out the Fat Eddie in all of us at times.
I wish you all the best Rummy and that goes to everyone who suffers with loss of a loved one.

He Had 8 assist last season and 1 this season. That's 9 when I went to school. So my opinion is backed by facts. I have also noticed we kept 7 clean sheets in 11 games he missed compared to 2 clean sheets in the 14 he started. If you don't agree that he as dropped off the last 2 seasons fine. You don't have to agree with me.

Robbo has been poor for 2 seasons, yeh he's an energiser bunny. But I believe he gets caught out of position to often. He's doing the Hendo 5 yard passing to the side and backwards in his own half, but when he plays it forward it gets cut out, his crosses really beat the first man anymore and his shooting, well he may as well not bother and stick to making a 5 yard pass.

Robbo has been inconsistent for 18 mths. And we have not missed him while injured, so I would definitely have a new toy, please. One who can stop crosses coming in from the left.

He did what it said on the tin and his good at defending set pieces.
I mean he's a Milner replacement and I think as a squad player he is okay.
