I am concerned about the issue of left back signing rumors, I don't think is true since we have two players injured at that position coming back soon and have heard about a Brazilian Nino from fluminense, he's a good option for at $7m and Gomez at left back before Robbo or Tmiskas comes back.

Robertson is 30.

Robbo is still as fit a fiddle but the injury he’s sustained is a nightmare.

Even if it’s pinned the shoulder is a ball and socket joint so there’s no way of protecting it fully especially in a contact sport with it being a risk for him now for the future.

Another risk for it is simply losing your footing as you automatically put your hands out to stop the fall and the vibration of impact travels through the arms to the shoulder.

I think Klopp said he’s back in training end of Jan but o wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another few months after that until he’s playing.

We will not be replacing Robbo by some new shiny toy this Jan. regardless of his age, I can almost guarantee that. Tsimikas got a new deal and was playing out of his skin till he got injured so he is going nowhere, either. IMO. We will go with Go:ez and Chambers if need be, IMO.

The obsession with signing a new lb rears its ugly head again. Pre season everyone wanted Robertson replaced with a LCB. Then he gets injured and tsimikas plays well and gets injured. Now we are replacing them both for a few months for what reason? Robertson on his day is still a world class lb why would we replace him with a mediocre signing?

Robbos 29. He's still a top drawer player. Robertson is one of the few players in the team that give regular 8/ 9 out of 10 performances. He's a brilliant player.

Robbo easily has more years in him. Probably 4. No need to replace as first Teamer just yet.

Not sure if rumours about Nino are true and I haven't watched much of him to comment if he would work for us but I will say I watch the final of the copa libatores (apologies for butchered spelling) and he was outstanding. Probably man of the match. Downside is South American defenders seem to struggle with pace when they come straight to prem. Seem to do far better when they stop off in Europe first.

{Ed002's Note - Nino is a CB not a LB.}

Yep. I know he is. I think the OP namechecked getting him as a CB and keeping Gomez as LB before injury returns.

Nino looked very good from what I saw.

{Ed002's Note - No doubt he will enjoy life in Nottingham.}

Ah. Cheers Ed. I didn't read he was close to a move there. I ll keep my eye on him if he does. Think he could well be a solid pickup for them. Nottingham don't half buy a lot of players. ?.

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from elsewhere as well.}

Given that Robbo was born on 11th Match 1994 your latest random statement is factually incorrect @Habibi.

Given we have Robbo, Tsimi, Joe, Chambers, Scanlan and Beck who can can and will play on the left I think it’s fair to say that we probably have other priorities, if we are looking to add to the squad.

Robbo has been inconsistent for 18 mths. And we have not missed him while injured, so I would definitely have a new toy, please. One who can stop crosses coming in from the left.

Owen Beck has just been recalled from Dundee, where he has been one of their best players this season.

We do not need to panic every time a player or two get injured.
