Ed001 or anybody able to explain to me why konate doesn't slide tackle instead of standing up an trying to lean into games. is it fear of giving away a pen but that doesn't make sense as the ball was there to be won and do yous think Alisson went to ground too early. he'd normally stay up longer.

To be fair, it was a good finish, but yes, Konate was there and should've dealt with it.

Ali could've stood there and caught it, but that's the life of a goalkeeper. Split-second decisions can be the difference. That being said, Ali has been poor by his own high standards this season, so it doesn't surprise me that he made the wrong decision. Most of our players make the wrong decisions most of the time.

It must be catching, because Slot does the same.

Surely this can't go on much longer. Slow, turgid, no intensity, predicatble, sideways and backward passes, no press, easy to play through, silly mistakes, ni accountability. A massive but non exhaustive list. There is little to take out of our games, even the ones we somehow win.

Odd game where intensity feels right bit majority look same old poor play template.

Vvd eluded to the tragic circumstances around jota (rip) and that must play a role surely, but slot has done very little that is apparent to help our situation.

Just not enjoyable at the moment, but we fight on.

After last season, he tried to change a winning formula with a group of players used to playing the high intensity game that was stilled into their mindset for years under Klopp.
He made it low intensity.


Players do not believe in this. This is why even our most senior players are making mistakes.
These type of performances are duplicated over and over. He simply does not learn. Despite our recent wins, you can see we were due this defeat.

Lads I don't think Holland is as far away as I want Slot to be from our club. Any vacancies in Australia for him. But seriously something should be said about the clear foul on Szlob and the ref turns a blind eye once again. But then our lads going down to soft was a constant theme today.

We are a long way away from the Liverpool I love and know. It seemed they didn't even try and score in that first half and that's just not football. Nil ponies just is not good enough tonight in fact it's unacceptable.

100% agree, Jay. If we thought we were in transition now, just wait till next season. Konate leaving on a free, Mo and Van Dyke down to their last year, and rumours of McAllister and Gapko going to Real and Bayern respectively.

Please God, cause I don't rate either of them. Add Endo, Cheisa, Gomez, and possibly a few others, and we will need at least 7 to 8 new quality players in. Sure hope we have some money left to spend; we're going to need it.

I don't want to hear excuses, reasonings or any degree of optimism. Just get Slot out of the club, now. I don't care about why Diaz wanted to leave, why we didn't strengthen at CB and CDM (And don't even bring up Leoni, he was a replacement for Quansah, and we needed a centre back even before Quansah left) and don't blame Jota's death for the entirety of this mess, as it is not only incredibly disrespectful but clearly wrong.

It's the same thing over and over again. Play conservative and flat for the majority of the match, go a goal down, panic and throw on every offensive option from the bench (Resulting in the team being unbalanced), potentially get something, then concede in the last few minutes to lose the game. It is so amateurish.

Slot has undone all the work Klopp had done previously in his tenure, he has sapped the energy out of the players, the fans, and everyone associated with this club. He has pulled apart the youth section, and ignored available options, to instead continue with the ineffective Gakpo, and the worst version of Salah we have ever seen, who just happens to be on the biggest contract in Liverpool history.

Slot needs to go before he destroys this club and leaves us in the doldrums of Europa league. He should have gone after the PSV match, but Edwards and Hughes bottled it and now we find ourselves here. Absolutely unacceptable.

I could understand seeing out the season if the inevitable wasn't available.

The guy they wanted, the guy we all wanted, sat there with no fee required.

The only thing I can think is he wants a break, maybe. For so-called smart men, they're toying with a nuclear warhead that is on the verge of exploding.


Can't disagree with anything said above. It's not working, Slot's persistent moaning about poor teams' tactics, when his own are awful.

What a terrible performance. Difficult to see any Passion in the players attitude.

Can't understand why Slot continues to play Salah and Gakpo, they are so predictable.

Slot is safety first, Klop was risky, press high, press hard, we might get countered with our high line but we always knew we could score more.

I know we have some long term injuries but our bench is so poor, only Rio looks like he can change a game in the 5 mins he gets, though Jones can make a difference, but why not start Jones and Rio and Chiesa, give them a chance. winds me up.

Dench, Jomes was absolutely horrendous when he came on. Woeful player, nothing midfielder, weak in the tackle, zero awareness or positional sense, defensively inept and offers little going forward. Needs binning off in the summer.

That game summed up our season to a tee.

Slow ponderous football created absolutely nothing except complete boredom. Opponents bring on a big lump up front and our CB's can't cope, 1-0.
Now, sheer panic raises our tempo, opponents panic, we get good chances, 1-1.
Immediately we revert back to snoozeball, opponents stop panicking and play again, 2-1.

Slot and his appalling tactics are ruining our club. Get rid NOW!

What a bunch of absolute flakes this team are, going down when barely touched loosing or pulling out of 50/ 50 tackles leaving it to someone else to go to the ball no fight or pride in the Jersey. Losing to the worst team in the premiership, bloody joke deserve nothing from this game absolute waste of time. As I said earlier there are players out there robbing a wage and this performance tonight just sums up this team this season under Slot pathetic at times.

This team has become a soft touch just like the dark days of the 90's and 00's its absolutely sickening watching this absolute garbage week in week out what a bunch of flakes.

Bunch of rubbish houses, you only have to breathe on Mac Allister and he goes down like a sack of rubbish - embarrassing. Pulling out of challenges, no desire, passion or bottle.
No energy or strength, playing walking football until we go behind. Then they rubbish the bed and decide to start running - completely unacceptable.
