Very quiet on the transfer front hopefully it's just the two boys being back. And announced without many peoples knowledge.

I can imagine Slot is going to want to evaluate his squad first but with the Euro's and Copa going on quite a few first team players are missing and won't return until end of Jul / Aug time.
Also hearing Endo and Mo want to represent their countries in the Olympics which would mean both miss the entirety of the US tour.
Probably our most important Pre Season in 8 years and one of the most disrupted.

Shame isn't it JK23. Ideally you'd want Slot to get a full pre-season with the whole squad but I think we should try look at it with a positive spin, in that he'll get to assess the younger lads in more depth now. So it could save us some cash as he'll know plenty about Salah and Endo already. Most of the boys at the Euro's should still be back in time for the back end of pre-season. Enod and Salah will have to work hard to catch up quickly when they get back from the Olympics, but of all the players in our squad they are the two lads you'd say have the best attitude away from the pitch so I'm sure they'll put in the extra hours necessary.
We've got a very deep pool of talent and quite a favourable opening fixture schedule so hopefully it won't set us back too far!

I like the look of hancko he was very good yesterday defensively and attacking he had saka and palmer on his pockets.

tbf ed002 has mentioned him a fair few times on this page, i can't remember if he said that we are actually interested in him, though slot must have a very good opinion of him, he's been top class in the eredivisie the last two years.

They don't have to play in the Olympics if Liverpool don't want it. Slot needs to say no. Klopp would.

I think we’ll make one or two signings, the new transfer committee will want to make their statement.
Other than that I think Slot will want to evaluate the players he has. More signings disrupts the squad and the squad doesn’t need disrupting (like it did when Houllier turned up) .
A couple of new players, will not disrupt things and it won’t heap unrealistic expectations on the new management team.

Endo agree mate. The fact Endo said in an interview on the weekend tells me that the club haven’t said no yet.

I don’t think Klopp would have said ‘no’. And I don’t think the club will say no to Endo or Salah. They might not be at pre-season but they will be playing and getting match fit. I’m sure Slot is well aware of their capabilities and I think he’ll be focussing more on the squad ‘possibles’ than the ‘probables’ or ‘definites’.

Spot on, WDW3. These are veteran players and professionals too. They don't really need that much preseason if they are already playing football. And no, I do not think Klopp would have said no to Endo nor Salah. That's not who he is nor what he does.
