Dear Eds and fellow LFC Lovers, can someone explain what the situation with Bajcetic is, why he didn't play last year I know it was to do with recovering but a full year? Also do we know what the ideal plans are for hum next season?

{Ed001's Note - he came back and played and got another injury. He needs to work on his fitness and punctuality. It will be up to Slot to have a look at him and decide what he wants to do with him.}

Punctuality, as in he's late for training ed and other events?

{Ed001's Note - late for everything.}

Yeah, I remember a few players mentioning that Bajcetic turns up to team meeting / tactical analysis late. Robbo and Gakpo have mentioned it most recently, which is not a great look for a youngster looking to force himself into the team. Has the potential to be a great player, but needs to recognise the importance of all aspects in football.

Have a feeling also, if we had kept Milner, he would have made sure Bajcetic took these things more seriously. Great leader, and someone the club really missed last season, more so than Hendo, in my opinion.

I'd bin him off just for that personally.
If he can't get the basics right , what's to say he won't do the same on the pitch.

Maybe we can loan him to a club which will strength him up a physical and mental maybe rangers or Celtic would be a good season for him.

Ed1, do you think that is attitude problem or what? Because punctuality is kinda important in everything. Being always late to work doesn't really bode well if you want to succeed in your work. You'll make you boss mad at you as well. Really have high hopes for him and want him to be able to reach his potential with us.

{Ed001's Note - yes, it is very much an attitude problem. not insurmountable though.}

Isn’t he back training by himself now. Perhaps trying to get ready for the new season or for impressing slot. Hasn’t played all season so a good thing to see. Hopefully it’ll be a sign of future aptitude for what’s needed.

He is still only a kid. He’s 19 and probably nowhere near the finished article as a football player or a person. I was about 50 myself when I actually started showing signs of being a grown-up.

Sounds like Suso all over again. Plenty of promise, but lacking the right attitude. I hope he turns it around. No real reason why he can't fix it.

I find it crazy that you would “bin him off” based on this.

He’s a teenager. He will make mistakes and will still have a lot of maturing to do. All teenagers do.

A good manager will understand this.

Sometimes I think fans today see footballers as only players and we forget these young players are human beings still.

And what's it like, WDW3?
I need to know more before trying it myself.

Agreed, a teenager needs guidance, you don’t give up on them.

Not all it’s cracked up to be @Rigsby to be honest. I’d recommend putting it off.

10 Jun 2024 16:44:25
A teenager may need guidance's but surely he realises he’s at 1 of the biggest clubs in the world and realise how lucky and financially fortunate he is, if he doesn’t he’s just another in the line of wasted talent. If it’s true his punctuality is as bad as they say, why hadn’t klopp already sorted him out?
