Why can't we play the same system that won us the title, was one was of the best runners up of all time and won us the champions league?

I am not a fan of copying what other teams are doing, teams have been relegated because they wanted to play out from the back, but they did not have the skillset to do so.

The system we are currently employing is setting us up to fail as its too lopsided, attacking wise we are goalden, however the midfield is unbalanced and in defence we are a shambles.

Asking Allison Becker to dig us out of a hole each weak is not going to cut it.

As things stand I can see us being involved in high scoring matches, as pre-season has proved 15 for and 10 against.

We have been here before and the brutal truth is that if you concede too many goals, you can kiss your chances of winning things goodbye.

I am happy to stick with the new system for the time being. If done properly, it could fix a lot of the issues we have experienced in the past with teams getting behind our full backs. I cannot pass judgement on it until we get a holding midfielder and play some competitive games. Throwing the toys out the pram over pre season matches is silly. I do think that if we are going to play it that we have to be more conservative. That involves buying better centre backs as a priority, selling Tsimikas, and telling Robertson and Trent to stick to their positions. If we don’t do that then yes, we will be screwed.

- Because the same people were dog abusing the manager when the system was failing.

- Because we lost Wijnaldum and Klopp signed Thiago who is hardly runner.

We splashed £70 mill on Szobo whose hardly a runner. how exactly would he fit into a 4-3-3

As AW said there is absolutely nothing wrong with Trent coming into the middle, We just need a world class DM and a world class LCB.

Szoboszlai is a runner and is a very hard working player.

He can also does fit into a 433 (centrally or out wide) .

As easy as that just go out and buy two World class players! We reportedly won't even pay what Southampton want for an unproven 19 year old. Until we have the players to implement Klopps invert RB system we need to get back to something familiar or else our season is over before it's begun.

Our RCM in a 4-3-3 is all about covering the space left by Trent when he overlaps plus helping Fabinho / DM to win the second ball
if you think Szobo is a readymade player for this role then I would suggest you to change the sport, Because you clearly haven't got a clue.
also Harvey Elliot doesn't fit into a 4-3-3.

if you have a Rodri in the middle then Trent will flourish.

Oppenheimer, that's not the 4-3-3. The 4-3-3 is what we played before all the inverted full back stuff so the RCM position in the 4-3-3 is more attacking than you have described, a box to box midfielder, a no 8.
