What’s everyone’s take on how many more players we will see come in?

Fabinho gone by looks of things - personally I’m gutted to see how badly he struggled last season he’s been a beast for us. But time waits for no man and he I assume is on the decline so time to go.

Henderson - same as fabs, best captain since souness for me. Been a real driving force but at 33 who would deny him a final pay cheque.

I personally think we will see Tiago leave either to Saudi or back to Barcelona if not this season next. But with the amount of injuries he sustains it’s time to move on.

I think we will sign a CB, and two more midfielders. This is a hell of a refresh especially since Klopp doesn’t usually like to start new players right away, but this could
Be the kick up the backside he and the club needed to finally react and rebuild the squad.

I thought it would be a quiet window after macallister came in, I’m sad and excited at the same time. This could be a great season, or the starts of another major trophy haul
For Juergen and the boys.

It feels like it has to be 2 CMs and one LCB regardless of Henderson going or not.

With Fab out we have no recognised option for the holding role. We need one specialist and then a versatile option who can cover there if needed and also play further forward.

If we do that and then get a strong left footed CB we will be very well set for next season. Anything less and we will be left short again.

Also need to consider that Thiago, Matip and maybe others will be off this season or next as well, so more work still to be done.

I agree with 2 more midfielders. We have Jones, Bajcetic and Elliot still left from last year even if all 3 of Hendo, Thiago and Fab leave. So another 2 alongside Gary and Dom would make 7, with Trent stepping in when required.

If Lavia is the potential superstar that he is being mooted as then I would be happy with him. I can't help thinking that, although Soton turned down £40m from Chelsea (I think? ) we could make something happen around that figure with fringe/ youth players included in the deal either permanently or on loan.

I'm well aware that these type of deals rarely happen, but it appears Barcelona are prepared to let Kessie leave - there was report of them being willing to accept €30m from a Saudi side but a bid didn't materialise - and recently there have been press reports that we would accept €12m for Thiago.

Thiago plus €15-€18m for Kessie would be a decent deal for both sides if the players were keen.

I also think we will get a CB (with Matip possibly leaving) - the most linked names seem to be Colwill and Van De Ven. VDV's deal to Spurs hasn't been confirmed. That said, neither has Gvardiol's move to City, but that would be a fantasy signing!

I'm excited to be honest, a rebuild was needed over the coming years anyway so we might as well rip the plaster off and do it all at once.

It might just re-energise Klopp, he's virtually building a brand new team and I think he'll get stuck right in and get involved in the development. I might be wrong but it feels like over the last 18 months or so he's taken a bit more of a back seat, I think he'll be fully immersed now.

We'll also see what other leaders we have in the team, players can no longer look to Hendo and Milner for leadership and will be forced to take on a lot of that responsibility for themselves. It might not be a bad thing, fresh ideas and fresh voices to motivate people. Gerrard became a different type of player overnight when he took the armband, he was always a top player but he became much more influential.

If we were just replacing one or two players, the season would've been fairly predictable. We'd have been looking at a steady improvement and a top 4 finish. What we're doing now is completely different, now it could go horribly wrong of course - but it also could be amazing and we absolutely fly next season. We could finish anywhere between 8th and 1st, who knows? That's all part of the fun.

Fabinho, it's hard to judge. I think both him and Hendo dropped of a lot last season cos they basically had two years without being rotated properly, cos the squad players weren't up to it. But then he was barely used in the World Cup and still looked knackered when he came back. But then again, when he came back into the team after Bacjetic had displaced him for a while, he looked a bit better. With the emergence of Bacjetic, the additions of Szobaszlai and Mac Allister, Jones being fit and able to hold down a run of games, and potentially another arrival, our options are a lot better which should help him. Will he get back to where he was 2-3 years ago. I don't know.

Henderson, I don't know either. Purely as a player, I think he still has plenty to offer, now that we have better options in midfield so he's not playing twice a week every week, and coming off the bench even in games he doesn't start. My personal opinion of him going to Saudi Arabia cos they waved a big pay cheque after all his words about how pro-LGBTQ+ he is, is probably unpublishable though.

Spot on, Something Red. Fab and Hendo (and Milner, really) were not helped with the constant absences of Naby and Ox esp. (you can add a bit of Thiago and Jones to that, if you like) which meant that all these players had to keep going into the well again and again. Compound it with not having a really good preseason last season did not help the whole team, let alone Fab and Hendo who have way more miles on their legs than the other mids' we had.

Personally, I believed that Fab still has the legs to go one more season provided he had the legs around him BUT it seems he has decided to leave to preserve or extend his footballing career which he has a right to. We will have to see where we go from here.

I think both players have to move on for different reasons, my only fear is we brung in just one addition in midfield and one CB.

Unless Henderson really wants to go I cannot see the logic in selling him - he’s been crucial off the pitch, and a big influence on it - I don’t think getting shot of all our senior players is the answer.

Regardless of Hendo and Fab leaving, we need to add a defensive midfielder. If Thiago were to also leave then we’d need two.

I’d be looking to get two CBs too with Tsimikas and Matip to make way.

We didn’t have an able deputy really to be able to rotate Fabinho with. Klopp’s fault on that score.

I see 1 DM coming in and a CB.
Assuming the 3 new midfielders are starters that still leaves thiago, jones, Bajectic, Elliott and possibly morton as cover. With trent also.

TTA you never mentioned him as a midfielder
I’d buy a right back me.
