Whether there winning goal was a penalty or not, how frustrating was that we didn't clear the ball, Fabinho tried to play out rather than clearing, he is one player who for me as been our worst player of the season so far, Fabinho needs taking out of the firing line he is so far off the pace, he can't win a header, he can't pick a pass, he looks clumsy, he mis times every tackle, he as been truly awful and should stay on the bench until after the world Cup or will keep costing us points.

It was sheer panic in the box Mighty Reds. Not a pretty sight mate.

It was a soft penalty but Thiago was tackling from the wrong side in the penalty area which he shouldn't do.

I thought Jesus was gone for the game when he took that knock to the head. What's the protocol for head injuries? In rugby you leave the field for 10/ 15 minutes to be assessed by a doctor with a free sub coming on. Is that something football should be looking at?

Bottom line to me is that if the ball is cleared properly there is no opportunity for a penalty.

Every Player except Nunez and Dias were and have been terrible Klopps subs where baffling also Harvey Elliot is a mid table team player and is not good enough for Liverpool. I can never in my life remember a team turn as bad as we are so quickly, maybe Leeds under O Leary.

I would happily lose Henderson Van Dijk Fabinho Trent Harvey Thiago Salah they would not be missed in the slightest. Playing like 50 year old men and how weak they are also a 13 year old would win an arm wrestle with all of the above. I do fear for Klopps job he is another I would not mind losing at the minute how he kept Jota on the pitch so long is beyond ridiculous the guy was dog shat all game. A sorry state of affairs we will never return to the top of this league at least for 10 years or so now. I don’t see us making champions league for at least 3-4 seasons. Appalling all round.

Mid table? He’s 19 for christ sake!

Harvey is a talent and one of the few who can hold his head high this season.

Lost seven of most important players?

That is honestly one of the most nonsense filled posts I’ve seen in some time.

This is why the best young players go to places like Dortmund, because they have time to develop and make mistakes. At a club like Liverpool you have horrible toxic supporters that jump on young players as soon as things get tough for them. Carvalho will be next.

No matter what you think is going wrong with us at the moment, to blame Elliott in any way is disgraceful. He has been one of our best players this season and only 19. Players like him are bound to be inconsistent at that age, particularly playing in a side where more experienced players are dropping the ball. We are lucky to have him.

I don't blame Elliott one bit but I certainly don't think he's been one of our best players either.

I agree wool. Elliot should be coming on after 70 minutes and having a free run at these teams to show what he can do with freedom whilst we’re 3-0 up.
Not having to carry our midfield. Of course he’s not good enough, he’s a kid!

If we got rid off all the players ScouseNouse wants to we'd be sitting right next to nottingham forrest with all their new signings trying to figure out what they're doing.

Blaming Elliott is ridiculously harsh. He’s a young player coming into a team that’s hit the skids. He’s exempt from criticism, the kid is learning and he’s done well in the circumstances, it’s easier for a young player in a team doing well than the other way round and as TBird says, you can understand why young players head to places like Dortmund.

The blame for the mess we’re in lies squarely in the decision making in the summer, not at the feet of a talented young player.

Is it Elliott's fault the squad has been under funded and its left with players like him and Carvalho trying to pick up the pieces?

TBird 2 got is spot on. Some of our fans can be absolutely toxic in the way they attack young players who are just trying to give their best. Funny thing is that a lot of the people trashing HE are prolly the same ones complaining over the years that we don't have young players coming thru and when we have one who BTW, is a club fan, rejected PSG and esp. Real Madrid to sign for his boyhood club and helped us win trophies, he gets beaten up cos he is NOT "insert star player here" yet nor developing fast enuff for them while mind you, playing in a team that's completely out of sorts. Pathetic. Like I always say, if you do not have any patience for young players w/ potential to grow then, you do not deserve the player AFTER he has grown and become the good player you want him to be.

Yep that’s right let’s lay into the teenagers. ?‍♂️ I can’t wait for Elliot to gain experience, develop further build on his strong start (which had already been disrupted by a severe injury) and prove people on here wrong. I have complete faith that he, Jones and Carvalho will hold starting spots and prestige shirt numbers in a couple of years.
