Editors: I understand if you don’t want to post this. I hope if you don’t it is for not wanting to open this topic up, instead of simply disagreeing.

I don’t understand why taking a knee would get booed, but I’d be lying if I said I felt uplifted by it, and I’m actually let down when people immediately resort to “RACIST! ” Name calling. Stop assuming that either side is perfect and have actual discussions. I know my below points aren’t perfect, but they are at least worth hearing.

1: Taking a knee does not mean you are “with us”. What player in their right mind wouldn’t take a knee in front of the world and their teammates? We should all unite for racial equality but simply kneeling over is only a gesture. I’d much rather see a player use their platform to make a big impact as just take a knee. See Rashford.

2. knee taking in the US is during the national anthem which is a whole new can of worms. It’s easy to perceive this as disrespect to ones country, which in turn seems like disrespect to those that fought/ died for it. There is nothing wrong with pride in/ love for ones country. I certainly love my country despite its many flaws. That being said, you have the right to do so whenever you want, but Others have the right to voice their displeasure as well, even if misguided.

3. Black Lives Matter, the organization, is HEAVILY flawed. It started as a good message and now is another political organization making unattainable extremist demands. Change happens slowly and this is a complex issue.

For the record, I don’t care what you do, what race you are, who you love, where you worship, so long as it’s within the limits of the law. I am against all forms of extremism and I don’t need others’ blessing to tell me I’m not racist. I love my family, a God that I admit I have my own struggles with, and Liverpool.

{Ed033's Note - If we've got free will, are people allowed their own opinions or should we all be forced to have the 'correct' opinions on each and every subject? And who decides what the correct opinion is on any subject?

I fully agree with the idea you should have the free will to choose to participate or not without being called racist, but I don’t think booing is appropriate response to a collective action that’s clearly designed to shed light on a major problem (and I know you didn’t say that, I’m just commenting on the fans who have done this) .

I was actually proud that the Kop applauded it by comparison.

As TJRed says Eds, if you don’t want to post this response on such a sensitive topic I understand completely.

I get what you’re saying mate, it’s a complex issue and kneeling undoubtedly has lost some of its original impact. I would agree that there are more impactful ways to bring about racial equality in the game and educate some of the misguided fans that exist in likely every stadium. However, to actively boo an action which aims only to highlight the racism that we all know exists in the game is downright deplorable for me and can be called for what it is, racism.

You might disagree with certain aspects of BLM, but the players aren’t kneeling in line with riots or left wing agendas as some seem to think. They’re kneeling to stop monkey chants, racial abuse and under representation of people of colour in management. I’m almost glad the millwall fans acted how they did; it shows us how far football still has to go to be a welcoming and safe place for all.

Again Ed’s, if this is considered inflammatory at all I understand, it’s a tricky issue to navigate.

{Ed033's Note - If there wasn't any booing, you'd have some government agency paying a small group to boo. This is what happened with the small group of Bulgarians giving the Bellamy Salute a while ago.

3.) 07 Dec 2020

I’ve seen a lot recently from the far right saying BLM is a Marxist organisation and this and that, all of course rubbish designed to turn people away from the cause of racial equality because the far right know that they can’t simply be racist openly anymore so have to resort to other methods to discredit these movements and their goals.

So the message is be careful of what you read on Facebook. BLM is a movement for racial equality, nothing more, nothing less.

Those booing might not all be racist yes but maybe ignorant to the movement or have been turned by some rubbish on Facebook. That’s why it’s important to try and educate these people rather than just ban them, simply banning them will not help the movement, it will just move the problem somewhere else and probably make the problem worse.

{Ed033's Note - Should we send people to 'Education Detention Camps' for 'Wrong-Think'?

To be fair the headline, "FA investigating crowd incidents at Millwall" is a welcome sign that some normality is returning.

In my opinion, the kneeling before the game is not a big ask for anyone involved - and is a clear and direct rejection of racism to spectators and other participants. The incident at Millwall proves this in my opinion.

As for the discussion on free will, a fundamentally flawed concept as it can only be used within the scope of our available options. However I would argue that if your options include "say something racist" and "say nothing", and you still choose the former, you may want to evaluate how you apply even this diluted form of freewill.

5.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 18:19:51
For me, it’s absolutely about the choice to participate.

What isn’t on the table is said booing of anyone who decides to take the knee. In what way is it an offensive gesture? It’s for a noble cause whether it’s lost its impact is an irrelevance when we’re discussing some people’s apparent disdain to it.

People who boo are either thick, ignorant, racist, or all of the above.

6.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 19:30:34
Maybe we should try an understand why they booed and then we can actually tackle the issue.

Is it due to the political reasons? Is it because they don’t feel the players should be doing it? Or is it because they feel black lives don’t matter or of the opinion all lives matter?

We live in a world where if you strip us all back we are all a bag of bones, there is no need to abuse someone purely due to their race, gender or sexuality. But we need to talk about it rather than just brush it under a carpet. Speaking through the reasons for anyones prejudice can go along way to remove it,

7.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 19:31:48
Ed 33, I’m sorry but booing an effort to stop racism in football is not “wrong-think”, it’s blatantly racist. There’s a fine line between free speech and hate speech, but this certainly falls under the latter. In the most respectful way, your response to my post is a strawman.

{Ed033's Note - Oh right you want to call it 'hate speech'. Ok, should we send people to 'Education Detention Camps' for 'hate speech'? :)

8.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 20:04:03
Yes Ed033, we probably should educate them. It's blatantly incorrect thinking to be racist.

9.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 20:17:26
Cmon Ed033, free speech and free will still needs personal restraint and occasionally censorship or chaos and arguing break out. Why denigrate an action like taking a knee when, even though its tokenism, it represents an more positive inclusive loving consideration of society?

In fact, what are the reasons for booing such a gesture?
On a side note, you are probably the least qualified Ed to be dealing with issues of free speech when your conspiracy page nullifies any attempt to debate your Flat Earth, Trumpist, David Icke love-in.

{Ed033's Note - I try to 'wake' people up. Ok, what's your moving globe proof?

10.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 21:02:14
BLM leaders are proud to say they are "trained Marxists". I don't support that at all, nor defending the Police or abolish prisons.

Kick it out, I am fully behind, any national anti racism campaign is great, but the capital lettered group, BLM I find hugely problematic. I therefore do not support taking the knee.

Ed033, You are a flat earther too?

What benefit is there to the earth being a globe rather than flat? Why would so many millions be lying about it exactly? To what aim? Why would they all want to hide "the truth" that the earth is in fact flat?

{Ed033's Note - Because they want you thinking you're an insignificant spec of nothing in a vast universe, when you're actually a Suveran that has Dominion over a World inside an enclosed non moving fantastic 'Snow Globe'.

People can always start visiting our conspiracy site

Ed033,

Oh of course, it is all so simple!

Thanks for the laugh!

{Ed033's Note - We're back to - what's your 'moving globe' proof then?

15.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 21:56:25
Ed033

Common sense, sanity etc.

But hey as Journey once said "Don't stop believing"!

{Ed033's Note - Right, so you can't show any evidence of a moving globe?

16.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 22:41:48
I did visit the conspiracy site Ed, and it just regurgitated the nonsense I've been battling a mate over for years. You are a long way down a rabbit hole and it's very difficult to see the light when down that deep. My good mate now views everything through his strong world view lens and no amount of logic or evidence (yes evidence, I'm an academic researcher and know how to dig deep) can steer him away from his misguided delusions.

{Ed033's Note - Have you found any evidence of a 'moving globe' when you 'dig deep'?

17.) 07 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 23:32:05
Leave Ed33 alone. There are flat earthers all around the globe ;-)

{Ed033's Note - pretty bizarre that no one can come up with one proof of a 'moving globe'.

Learning the basics of physics teaches you the earth can’t be flat. fly to Cape Town or Melbourne and you won’t be able to see the North Star.

{Ed033's Note - The World is so vast that you in your Personal Atmospheric Viewing Dome can't see every star from everywhere on Earth. We see a different stars depending where we are standing on Earth.

A video explaining this:

I'm sure I could find a youtube video proving that the moon is made of cheese. I actually thought you were kidding Ed when defending flat earthers. We truly are in a post truth age : (.

{Ed033's Note - The Moon isn't a place we can get to. We're in an enclosed system. We have to be in an enclosed system for there to be air pressure. You can't have air pressure without a container.

And you still haven't come up with one proof of a 'moving globe'.

Hi Ed033,
Do you disagree with all Science pointing to a globular spinning Earth?

1. Was the mathematics and experiment by Foucault wrong?
2. Is Euclidian Geometry part of this global conspiracy?
3. Why does the Earth always cast a circular globe during a Lunar Eclipse?
4. Were the many Islamic mathematicians wrong in predicting correctly that the Earth is a globe?

{Ed033's Note - Hi Captain Needa, Moving away from the Spinning Globe is the hardest psi-op to break free of. I get it. I'm just trying to 'wake' people up.

Where is this Science pointing to a globular spinning Earth?

1. yes
2. yes.
4. yes.
3. The premise of the question is incorrect, because a sphere doesn't make an evenly curved shadow on another sphere when eclipsing a single source of light. The shadow would first enter as a long ellipse, then would morph into a circle when centred, then it would exit as an elongated ellipse.

There are loads of documented eclipses where the Sun and Moon are both viewable above the horizon, which eliminates the Earth as the cause.

You might want to know if it's not the Earth causing the shadow, what is causing the shadow. The answer is possibly Rahu or Ketu, which is known about in other cultures, but not in the western world it seems.

Foucault’s pendulum speaks for itself Ed, as does the Coriolis force. I know you'll spout conspiracies about museums using magnetic fields etc, but seriously. It's amazing to me the attitude of all conspiracists, essentially you seem to have a very low standard of evidence for what you want to believe but an impossibly high standard of evidence for what you don’t want to believe.

{Ed033's Note - "speaks for itself" :)

22.) 08 Dec 2020
08 Dec 2020 01:38:47
Simply saying yes to the questions isn't proof of anything. Explain how Foucault was wrong etc etc.
If I said I was an astronaut and had physically witnessed a globe in its beautiful spinning dance, you'd call me a liar then?

{Ed033's Note - No, i found the perfect answer - "speaks for itself".

23.) 08 Dec 2020
07 Dec 2020 23:06:58
Plus, there are billions of examples of moving globes in the universe. Get your telescope out and have a look at the moon, Mars, Jupiter, etc.
Strangely enough though, in hundreds of years of stargazing and millions of light years of universe viewed, scientists are yet to find a flat planet identical to ours. Must be a conspiracy.

{Ed033's Note - inverse square law of light means they can't be light years away. They appear as lights above us, that's all we can tell about them

Ed033

youtu.be/mg7FweYjasE

{Ed033's Note - The video in the background doesn't show much movement.
The Earth allegedly moves in 4 different directions at the same time. It allegedly spins at 1000 mph, orbits the sun at 66,600 mph, moes with the 'solar system' at 400,000 mph and moves with the 'galaxy' at over 1 million mph. I'm not seeing that kind of movement.

Hi Ed33

3 points to make:
1. Thank you because you have inspired me to “wake” my account, password and tech issues for as long as I can remember so not been posting.

2. I have been to your conspiracy site a few times and may be some merit in some of what goes on there certainly not arrogant or ignorant enough to dismiss the entire site but I think you or people in general would be doing well to sense check some of the articles posted there, more often than not, so more than 50% of the times Iv gone there with an open mind I have been able to dismiss or discredit an article or video as fake news before I get to the end of it, factually!

3. I would point to the cycle of day and night and the seasons, time difference or time zones as proof of a spinning globe. If the earth is flat and having a rough understanding of the speed of light, how do you account for the difference in sunrise time of day? For example today 08 Dec. sun will rise in Aberdeen at 08:34 and in Brighton at 07:51 if it’s not curvature of the earth then what causes this?

{Ed033's Note - 2. The site is about the overall not about individual articles/videos.

3. It would be good if people would get the awesome Flat Earth Sun, Moon & Zodiac Clock mobile app by Blue Water Bay for $2.99. The Sun moves in differing circles above us between the Tropic of Cancer and The Tropic of Capricorn.
