He's a question for you all to debate.
Who's more important to the team. Coutinho or a fit Sturridge.

Well considering Sturridge isn't even our first choice striker I would say Coutinho.

Coutinho, simply because we have Firmino to fight for a place with Sturridge, whether fully fit or not, but there is no replacement for Coutinho.
A fully firing Sturridge with the form of 13/ 14 will keep Firmino out of the team though, but that's hypothetical.

I'd say it's Coutinho as well. He not only scores and assists but he creates a hell of a lot of chances. Sturridge is a top finisher when fit but he doesn't offer as much as Coutinho or even Firminho/ Mane do around the park.

Sturridge has not been our number one striker due to injuries though. Fully fit and in form there's not many better at sticking the ball in the net.

It's only an assist if they actually score from it. Once you create a chance it's up to the other player to finish it.
