The BBC are suggesting there's interest from Liverpool in Boubacar Kamara. Any truth to this one, Eds?

Darwins Evolution

{Ed002's Note - Boubacar Kamara (DM/CB) Aston Villa made it clear to RBL that BK is not for sale. The player is happy where he is and Didier Deschamps is very pleased with his development. I am not aware of any approach from Liverpool who have just signed a DM player.}

1.) 17 Aug 2023 15:32:13
Ed002 do you think that is it for Dm then do you see Endo as being are first choice.

{Ed002's Note - That I don't know - it depends now whether Liverpool look to another DM or a CM next.}

Rumours that Doucouré is our number one target abs we’ve had a bid of £58m turned down today.

3.) 18 Aug 2023 07:50:45
He struggles with English and is going away for the AFCON. Is he realllllly the target? Low ball offers which are leaked to the press sounds like the old FSG blag.

BBC reporting the clubs have agreed a fee for Arne Slot.

Darwins Evolution

1.) 27 Apr 2024 04:46:11
Arne Slot is our new manager for the 24/ 25 season and I will be supporting him the same as I did with Klopp. He deserves our full support as he is soon to be one of us.
I will still be sad on the 19.05.24 as Jurgen Klopp has been amazing I will always love that man and what he did for our club.
Stop the whinging and get behind Arne and the squad!

With Darwin possibly out of action how does our forward line look versus Arsenal? Our best front three available would be Diaz Jota Gakpo but i can't remember them playing together previously.

Darwins Evolution

1.) 02 Feb 2024 15:32:19
Darwins Evolution at this point, isn't that our only available front line as things stand with Salah being out and Darwin being a doubt for the game?

2.) 02 Feb 2024 16:01:52
Could put Trent in midfield and push Szoboszlai into the front three either.

3.) 02 Feb 2024 16:27:56
Think we can say that Darwin will miss this game as he was wearing a protective boot after the Chelsea game . maybe we could go 442 and put Trent in midfield .

4.) 02 Feb 2024 17:12:45
Liverpool aren’t going to change formation because one player is out. They could change it during the game maybe to close out the game .

5.) 02 Feb 2024 18:22:53
Didn’t look injured from the videos and photos of training which is a good thing.

6.) 02 Feb 2024 19:19:43
I see him playing but maybe not starting.

7.) 02 Feb 2024 19:21:32
Bet he plays - mind games.

8.) 02 Feb 2024 23:03:12
Heard that the protective boot was only there to there to protect his shooting foot, Darwin will play on Sunday.

9.) 02 Feb 2024 23:49:25
I’d like to see Darwin wear the protective boot next time he shoots.

10.) 03 Feb 2024 16:31:24
Maybe Gakpo starts ahead of him?
Jota and Diaz ?.

11.) 03 Feb 2024 23:05:11
He has a bruise on his toe. Let’s all pray that he can fight through the pain barrier.

Great result, even better performance. Salah seemed to have something in his eye at the final whistle. Needed to use his shirt to wipe it out. Maybe im just reading too much into things.

Oh. then macca must be leaving to saudi too coz he was fully red and seemed like crying ?.

2.) 03 Sep 2023 18:17:42
It's called sweat, it happens fairly often if you've been playing sport for an hour and a half and you're in your thirties.

3.) 03 Sep 2023 23:09:59
OP, he didn't smile wide enuff for me and didn't show enuff teeth either. That Saudi deal must be weighing on his mind.

Good post, alonso1786, and ill add that the exit of some/ all of those players might provide a tempting war chest for the next manager. Salah and Diaz could possibly add as much as 200m between them which, if reinvested, would be a carrot on a stick for most managers.

If your only criteria for a new manager is that he won titles and the Champions League then perhaps we should be considering Mourinho and Tuchel along with Zidane? A hard no to all three from me.

Just imagine the spectacles that a joint stadium could produce. One week its Liverpool vs Barcelona, the next Everton vs Dagenham and Redbridge.

Get some perspective - its simply a poor end to a season. Klopp has been excellent for Liverpool and with 2 months to go we were top of the league and on for the Quad. The capitulation since then has been dramatic so fans have every right to criticise.
However, there's a huge difference between moaning about our current form and slamming the whole club. there's a huge difference between saying Klopp has got tactics wrong recently and saying he is hated.
Ultimately, something has gone wrong in the last 7 or 8 games and it is a sad ending for Klopps final season but it doesn't taint his legacy as one of the best managers we have ever had.

Two poor teams out there today.
Everton’s tactic of falling over like a wet fish anytime they were in our half combined with a pitifully soft referee gave them endless dead ball situations which is how they score goals. TAA showed no interest in defending anything either so Everton deserved their win.
Liverpool’s tactic of lumping the ball long and slowing down every counter attack by passing backwards meant they deserved to get nothing out of the game.
Its a poor end to the season and Klopp looks utterly lost right now. Salah is stealing a living, Nunez is getting progressively worse, Alexander-Arnold needs to have zero defensive duties.
Congrats to Everton but Liverpool are currently looking like a sick dog that needs to be put out of its misery. Klopp is leaving possibly a year too late but fingers crossed the next manager can come in and add some energy and enthusiasm into a talented but down-trodden team.

Seems rare for Salah, Nunez, Gakpo, Diaz, Jota to be all playing well at the same time. Its Salah and Nunez’s turn to be misfiring right now while Gakpo is back.
If all 5 could find form we would be unstoppable.

Celebrate the team when we win, criticise them when we under-perform. Its how football fans have been since the game was invented. It doesn't mean they are not supporting the club. It probably sounds worse because its in a written format here rather than verbal but i’ve been in pubs for decades with supporters moaning that Neil Ruddock needs a kick up the backside or David Ngog is awful or Gerrard needs to hurry up and retire. Honestly, anyone who didn't say a bad word about Keita or Ballotelli while they were playing for us was not a real supporter of the club in my opinion. Players come and go and are idolised and criticised but the club is what should be supported.

I love Diaz as a player but i wish he would mix things up occasionally. Whenever he gets the ball he looks to take on the defender which is great but more often than not he is doubled up on. This means he cuts inside and passes the ball back or has a long-ranger. None of this is bad but i wish he would send more crosses over from the byline before the second defender arrives.
