klopp just said firmino won't be ready on wednesday. looks like a front 3 of origi mane and salah. midfield will probably be milner, hendo, wini. It looks like milner was rested for barca.

Would much rather see Ox get a game or to be honest if City were to drop any points against Leicester just accept defeat and rest all our players. We looked tired against Newcastle and somehow made Rondon look like Alan Shearer on speed.

If City drop points against Leicester, then play the second team against Barcelona coz we ain't winning against them anyways. Give Adam Lewis, Ox, Origi, Shaq, Lovren, Lallana a run out against Barcelona if City do end up dropping points.

Really Indian Buzzer? You don't think its possible to come back from 3-0? Imagine if we score three goals in 12 minutes and take it to penalties. Stranger things have happened.

IB, I was thinking the exact same thing. If City drop points then Klopp may have a decision to make. Does he rest Salah (this is assuming he is not in the Concussion Protocol requiring a 6 day rest) and Bobbie for the Wolves game knowing we have a chance to win the PL with a win OR does he try to overturn the 3-0 deficit? Right now, I would pick the former.

{Ed025's Note - it does,nt matter what he does really red wolf, liverpools name is on the trophy mate i have never seen a team have so much luck in all my life, the amount of last gasp goals and decisions going for you is incredible and if this sort of thing was happening to city i am sure you would all be calling foul, things like trent not being sent off and fab falling over to get the free kick from where you scored are just a couple of examples but it has been like that all season, now im not saying you wont deserve it because you do need a certain amount of luck to win anything...but this is really going to the extremes...who me bitter?...never.. :)

I completely agree with you Buzzer! City drop points and we rest key players.

It’s an absolute no brainier for me.

Virgil, i never said its impossible but is is highly unlikely. In the event City do drop points today, I would not exactly fancy our chances against Wolves without two thirds of our strike force plus another few first teamers that already look knackered.
There is still a huge problem in the squad in the fact that the gulf in quality between our first team players and squad players is huge. We need to address that this summer.

Ed0025, I don’t mind the rant about luck and decisions going our way - I would be saying exactly the same if it was your lot in our position instead of 41 points behind us - but you are wrong about the TAA decision. The laws of the game say that it is NOT a red card if a goal is scored immediately following a handball to prevent a goal. The referee could have given TAA a yellow but decided against.
As for resting players against Barca, whatever happens on Monday with City and Leicester we are in with a chance of winning the PL on the final day. In my opinion it would be going against our values as a football club - and against Klopp’s nature as a winner - to contemplate making it easier for Barcelona to put us out of the CL. I say put out our strongest possible team against Barca, and again against Wolves, and let’s see what fate brings us. Come on you mighty Reds!

{Ed025's Note - just on the TAA thing WW, if the ref gives the pen then he has to go, he decided to give the goal and not the pen which saved trent, im with you on playing your strongest team against both though mate..

call me silly, but i actually still believe we have a better chance at the CL than PL. go all out for both matches. it's going to be painful and tough. but if you don't reach for the stars, then what are we aiming for?

if City indeed drop points, i'm sure the lads will rally themselves for one final push against Wolves even after a grueling match against Barca.

{Ed025's Note - i think your right sg..

As i like to say about this Liverpool side, yes we have had luck and things have gone our way quite often. But the harder you work, the more luck you will get. YNWA. Come on Brendan.

{Ed025's Note - im all for that aussie..

cant keep up with some liverpool fans haha last week it was give up the league, now its give up the CL. seems we are so trophy deprived that some are quick to bite the apple from the forbidden tree. Nothing is won or lost yet, so go in with the mindset of doing what you need to win and get through.

I heard the sale of Boddingtons Bitter hit an all time high in the north west of England. Last season Man City won the league by 20 odd points and if you take Liverpool out of the equation this season they would have done so again.
I am so proud of Liverpool team, the Manager and the board, for actually competing this season. The Premier League would turn into the French league without us.
Manchester City are a really talented group of players with a fantastic Manager and if they go on to win the league it will be deserved.
I love to watch Andy Gray and Gary Neville squirming like every other Everton and Utd fan, when we keep Pis sin on their bonfire.
In the words of Kevin Keegan I would love it if we go on and win it.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair to Andy Gray, much as I dislike the man, he did say yesterday to John Barnes, on live TV, that he preferred the way Liverpool play and would prefer us to win the league.}

I know Ed, but watch the clip of when the goal goes in, John Barnes is celebrating and Gray is just sat in his chair hating every second. Ah Ah loved it.

{Ed001's Note - what else is he going to do? Is he going to jump up and cheer?}

No, I expected him to react the way he did and as I say loved every minute of it.
Have a nice day Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I will mate. You too.}

Ah c'mon Ed025,for every late goal there's a blatant peno not given, goals wrongly disallowed for offside and balls being cleared off lines a centimetre before they go in. If a team wins a league with 97 points, the word lucky should not even be in the conversation.

Faithinworks, dead right - this stress-induced schizophrenia amongst some posters is amusing and frightening at the same time. The cure is simple - trust in Klopp, believe in this brilliant team of ours and treat every game as the most important game of the season and see how the chips fall later. If we win a trophy or two, happy days. If we don’t, let’s look back on a fantastic season which has lasted until the final week with us still in with a shout for the big prizes. The experience will be so valuable when we go again next season.

You earn your luck by hard work and desire. The goal against Everton was typical of that. We did not pass the ball well at all in that game, but we persevered and found away. Yes we had luck from Pickford but Origi was the player showing desire to follow up.
Man City have had luck. Goal against Burnley, Aguero swung at it missed and it fell just right for him.
At the end of the day, the team that wins it over the season would have deserved it.
The table doesn't lie.

Every top team needs luck, City have had their fair share.

If we beat Barcelona on Tuesday it is going to take a lot out of the team physically and emotionally.
However, we would have 5 days to recover.

Very tough decision but I say play your best 100% fit team 👍.

I honestly can't believe what madness I've just read. You're in a semi final of the Champions League, and you want to play a second string team?! That's disgraceful.

20.) 05 May 2019
05 May 2019 16:41:58
It's swings and roundabouts the premier league, one week it goes for you the next week it doesn't, the best team wins the league luck has nothing to do with it. “The more I practice, the luckier I get”.

21.) 05 May 2019

Ed25, Luck is defined in certain quarters, as "a situation where preparation meets opportunity". Our team are lucky cos they are brave, courageous, fully focused, fully fit and fully prepared physically, mentally and emotionally for whatever they will come up against. Therefore, when the opportunities come, WE TAKE THEM! . If you want to be lucky like us, do what we do and how we do it and maybe, you'll get lucky one of these days. Up Da Freaking Reds!

{Ed025's Note - it will be thoroughly deserved whoever wins it red wolf, its been an epic race between two teams who are head and shoulders above the rest and may the best team win....or the jammiest if your a red mate.. :)
