Eds, Any truth in the report from SportsDirect that Man City are going to bid £50m for Suarez?

Probably nonsense, but I'd prefer that to Arsenal {Ed002's Note - Do not be surprised to see a bid from Manchester City or other clubs. It is not out of the question that Manchester City could still see two forwards leave and two more come in this summer.}

Cardiff Red

1.) Would the two be Dzeko and Aguero Ed? Obviously Aguero wouldn't be an option but what abou Dzeko? Wouldn't certainly give us something different. {Ed002's Note - I was not intending to suggest that either would move to Liverpool, but they are the players who could still leave - and hence the interest in the likes of Suarez and Willian.}

2.) Who Ed Aguero and Dzeko? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

3.) Is one of those aguero ed? I think I read of interest from R.Madrid.

I would take city having Suarez over anyone really. That way a team that is nailed on for top 4 have him instead of Arsenal. Plus we still get to witness the roller coaster that is Luis bloody Suarez each week and let's face it, he will score goals which will help city win the league over utd.

4.) Thanks for both replies Ed, appreciated.

5.) Which clubs are jnterested in Aguero Ed? {Ed002's Note - Try the Manchester City page Mikey.}

6.) £35mil and aguero, would do me perfectly {Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen.}

7.) Just glad I never had aguero in my dream team now :)

8.) Wouldn't mind flogging him to City. I know player swap deals aren't common but If Micah Richards and Javi Garcia were included I'd take it.

9.) 08 Aug 2013 20:28:10
Javi Garcia - are you serious?

Ed02, as you say, Coutinho's been looking for this move for the past year. So what was the thinking behind signing the new contract in January? Was he promised a move if Barcelona came in for him? It doesn't look like that was the case, but if not then signing the contract just doesn't seem to make sense?

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - I am sure Liverpool would have made no such promise.}

Ed01, do you think the reason Klopp wants to play Milner at left back is because he really likes him as a player (experience, attitude, work-rate etc. ) and therefore wants him in the team. As he knows there's not a place for him in midfield, this is the only position available?

Cardiff Red

{Ed001's Note - and because he is paid too much to sit on the sidelines or offload. Klopp does like his attitude a lot, but he also was happy to replace him in midfield, so you can be sure he is not just going to be shoehorned in constantly.}

1.) 16 Aug 2016 14:07:11
What is Millners actualy position though? He played all over for City and I think he was attacking midfield when he was with villa and new castle.

He signed for us to play as a central midfield but is good enough to play that position?

I think he'll end up being utility man this season and may leave next season.

Love his attitude and work rate though.

Brendan Rogers is a phoney, a fraud and a charlatan! He's a bullshhhh, a coward and a bare faced liar! The thought of him being at Liverpool football club next season makes me feel physically sick!!

I've been watching Liverpool for 30 years but honestly don't know if I could watch another game with him in charge!

I have genuine appreciation for the owners and what they have done, but I believe the fact that they are thousands of miles away and have little knowledge of football is allowing this farce to continue far longer than it needs to.

I'm just imagining the scene at Melwood, where Brendan Rodgers has sent Ian Ayre to Southampton to get him Lallana. and he comes back with Ricky Lambert! :-)

Cardiff Red

1.) Lmao. I like lambert. But this was funny

2.) Lol great post made me laugh. I asked for a dining table they brought me a lamp famous saying from who?

3.) Ayre pulls up on his bike, his passenger jumps off, slowly takes off his helmet, and Rodgers jaw hits the floor. Haha
Great post mate, post of the day for me

4.) Hhaha. Way better than the whole of yesterdays Lambert bashing threads.

I noticed Henderson got his fifth booking yesterday. Does that mean he will miss the next game, or is that only in the first half of the season?

Cardiff Red

1.) Im pretty sure they're reset from january

2.) Cheers Mark! That's a relief!

Sorry, but to say you’d rather it be null and void is a ridiculous statement! The players and manager have earned it! It would be criminal for them not to win it! Where have you heard about Liverpool being handed the title? Ed002 has been pretty clear that, that is unlikely to happen with the way the voting system works.

Again that’s much appreciated Ed002! We all know there are way more important things going on right now, but I guess it still doesn’t prevent the potential disappointment. We are all grateful for you keeping us updated.

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - It is really now a matter of waiting.}

Thanks Ed002, appreciate your response. That doesn’t sound too promising.

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - We have to wait and see. I will see if I can get some detail later from one of the attendees, but I very much doubt Liverpool were explicitly discussed.}

So Ed02, if the season is done (as I’m sure you’re correct in saying), how likely do you think it is that Liverpool will be champions? I understand it’s impossible to say for sure, either way, but with your knowledge of how things work and the people making the decisions, we’d all be interested to hear your views? Thanks!

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - In all probability it would need Liverpool to ask for it and for a separate vote to be taken - and that would need to gain the approval or abstention of the other 19 sides that comprise the Premier League - what is commonly known as a blackball vote. This means if one or more sides were to vote against that proposal it does not pass.}

No Ed02, I’m sure the other fans aren’t ‘whining as much as Liverpool fans’ as you put it! But do you really think they wouldn’t be if it was their team that was about to miss out on their first title for 30 years? Of course they would! Other fans aren’t ‘whining’ as much because they don’t have as much to lose. It’s not rocket science! Ridiculous comment by yourself!

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - You are missing the pojnt - Liverpool fans whine constantly. That is the truth and attempts to try and bring anyone else in to it are simply embarrassing.}

Ed002, are you aware of any other scenarios (if the season isn’t complete) for Liverpool being awarded the title, other than the black ball vote? Thanks!

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - It is up to the Premier League - which is the clubs. Perhaps if the Chief Executive proposed a vote that would require a simple 70% majority to pass - but the expectation is that Liverpool would need to ask.}

Ed002, I’m curious why Liverpool (one of the most supported clubs in world football) is not in this group of ‘elite’ clubs? Thanks!

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - You really don't want to know.}

Thanks for the reply Ed002, that’s quite depressing, and a real shame that the club is run that way. Clearly no need for it and I hope they change their ways! In reference to your previous response, can I ask what you meant by ‘‘it can be done’?

Thanks for the info Ed002. Are you in a position to tell us what the issue would be?

Cardiff Red

{Ed002's Note - The issue is that Liverpool has the most dreadful history and are unable to respect anyone or anything - there are a number of clubs Liverpool has gone out of the way to damage; and there is a bunch of other stuff.}

Both 0-0 I think but Liverpool won the group.
