Just saying, I want to see Trent as an 8. Box to box next year. We will see the best of him there. Added responsibility and we will see another gear from him. He coasts through games. I think there's more levels in him if you add abit of drive to his game. Give him the responsibility Arne.

See many wants to play Trent in the midfield on the forum. At no point I would want to drop Szobo and Mac from the midfield. Both superior with the ball
That leaves with the only place at the base where I would love a top class DM to be bought in.
Honestly I don’t see a place for Trent anywhere in the team atm.

I think Szobo has looked uncomfortable in midfield. His awareness is not good enough currently and gets caught on the ball. Much more affective closer to the box for me. On the right with the license to drift to a 10 is where he needs to be.
I think Trent is too laid back for a DM role hence my opinion that he needs to be more box to box, driving the team forward. You'd be surprised that added responsibility brings more out in your games and Trent has another level in my opinion.

I think Szobo has played in a position that doesn't suit him.
He doesn't have the tools for Centre mid. I think we can a see that.
However, I think we've seen enough with his shooting that there are goals in him. I think the size of the club has affected his confidence. He's no longer a big fish in a small pond.
I believe there's a place for him closer to the box, build his confidence and there's goals and assists from the right in his game.

Saying Elliot and Trent are ahead of Dominic for midfield is silly really considering we have a new manager who'll play a new system and have his own preferred first 11. People saying Quansah is ahead of Konate too. The only guaranteed starters are Alisson, Virgil, Salah and Trent at right back.
Personally I'd like to see Elliot and Quansah start regularly as they both have world class potential imo but they might just be squad players under slot, you never know.

People just don’t know how good Szob was in Germany. For a starters, he has an excellent technique and probably one of the cleanest striker of the ball. Where he excels is his ability with the ball in tight spaces. Neither Trent nor Szobozalai are great defensively.

Keira was pretty good in Germany as well.
I'm not saying Szob is bad, he fell away a bit last year but I put that down to coaching. Very excited to see how this squad performs is Slot let's them off the lease a bit.

Comparing Szobo to Keita? Szobo used to score goals for fun in Germany. Szobo has no attitude problem unlike Keita.

No one has implied Szob is a bad ball player or has a bad attitude, I was simply responding to a laughable post that there’s “no place for Trent”. Regardless of whether Arne is picking the side now, Szob’s form fell off a cliff following his injury and he looked like a squad player. I have no doubt there’s reasons such as injury rehabilitation, played out of position and general consistency, but when a player strolls around or is too casual they ain’t starters for me.

Jaguar the same Trent who has more assists and impacts the game more …. that Trent. If you’re comparing qualities, there aren’t any comparisons. Trent is on another level currently. The other could barely run second half of the season.
