The next four games will either turn this team in to bigger legends or rubber stamp their demise. Madrid away in the CL with a huge deficit, then City, a much improving Chelsea and Arsenal in the league . I want to believe we will win all of them, and the Madrid game by enough to be in the next round of the CL, I want to feel like we have a chance but the way the team plays at present I just can't.

They don't seem to have the right attitude. Concede early against Madrid and it may get embarrassing. A lunch time K. O. against City then games against Chelsea and Arsenal may see 4 defeats in a row on the league . Or it mays see 3 wins in a row and top 4 back on. What I want is us to thrash Madrid and go through to the next round of the CL, beat City, Chelsea and Arsenal and see the team back to its best. What I will get is probably far from that.

You just couldn’t second guess this team this season. It’s so maddening how our results and performances are so inconsistent this season.

Even at our best, overcoming a three goal deficit away from Anfield would be beyond us. So, the CL is most likely gone.
However, we will possibly take 5-7 points from our next three matches in the league.

OP, you'll be surprised that we will be up for those games and actually get results cos we have seen how we can get up for big games and sleep walk thru games vs Lesser teams.

Hopefully we've implemented some tactics by then. Rather than just asking players who can no longer run to run around a lot and then bringing James Milner on with half an hour to go regardless of the score.

If we can beat Utd 7-0 we can beat Real Madrid 4-0.
Alternatively
If we can lose to Bournemouth 1-0 we can lose to Real Madrid 7-0.

The current team form is frustratingly and utterly unpredictable. Said it before and will say it again. It’s back to how we were under Rodgers.
