Danjuma having a medical at Finch Farm, posing for photos in an Everton kit and then signing for Spurs might be the most Everton thing to have happened since yesterday. Incredible stuff.

We might be underfunded in the squad dept but we have to thank our lucky stars we're not in the mess The Ev are currently. Im a pragmatist and its things like this that can make clubs go to the wall. I would not want to see them go down as I think it benefits the city and the economy to have to Prem teams here.

{Ed025's Note - well we will definitely have one jimble..

OP wait, did that actually happen?

Ed. Sorry this isn’t LFC related but can you explain to me how Chelsea can spend so much money ( and hasn’t finished yet) and not be in breach of the so called FFP? Thanks??.

{Ed025's Note - they are actually quite stable financially whitewalker. Plus spreading the payments over 7or 8 years means only a percentage is paid per annum which helps regarding FFP mate..

Loophole that is being closed.

Thanks Ed. Is this because they have new owners or can every club do this sort of thing?

{Ed025's Note - new owners have helped mate but the loophole has made it quite easy for them, this will be closed shortly i imagine..

No surprise that Nadhim Zahawi is a Chelsea fan.
Nudge nudge, wink wink, know what I mean guv?

Also there has always been an allowance for new owners to pump money in for perhaps a certain time period I’m not sure exactly but I’m certain it’s a rule.

Ed025 signing young player on 8 year contract is ok if they work out but if you get a few dudes in there and you are paying for players over that time will leave you very confined in the future. Can you imagine Naby on an 8.5 year contract. And Chelsea have signed a few of him recently.

{Ed025's Note - it’s just another way of getting around FFP grino. The money doesn’t seem to bother Chelsea and they must have very good accountants mate because they seem to be able to buy who they want

If they get a few wrong though Ed it must tie their hands long term. Have the not spent £500m or something since the summer. I see there squad had 3 players for every position there wage bill must be massive now, they have so many big money signings that haven’t worked out and trying to move players like that on is the hardest part because no other league pays the wages like the premier league and none of them players ever want leave on lower wages.

{Ed025's Note - I’m not sure how they do it grino. But I could do with them sorting out my leccy bill mate.. ?

It's essentially cheating. If it was us doing it it would be deemed as another way of cheating. If it wasn't they wouldn't be closing the 'loophole' The whole thing is a farce!

If we were doing it, there'd be non-stop howling as to how we're "buying the league".

The thing is that it’s not cheating. It’s a business and Chelsea have used the rules to their advantage, so good for them.

When Ted figures out what the Qataris are planning to do and what, for instance City have started to do with feeder clubs around the planet I’m sure we’ll see a number of players playing for Chelsea’s C Team in the Ukrainian League. If they have a couple of good games they’ll be brought back to Chelsea, a couple of bad games and they’ll be sold off at a cut price and if Chelsea sell within the first couple of years of the 8 and a half year contract they might still make a profit.

Welcome to the future of the best sport on the planet.
