That performance yesterday was a f#cling disgrace. This season has been a disgrace. I’ll settle for top 6 but realistically don’t think we are good enough this season. Everything just went sh1t all at the same time. Mane left, Salah stopped playing, VVD is done, has no CB partner. Midfield has no legs, all in their 30’s and the kids all look like…. kids, not very good ones either. Trent doesn’t or can’t defend, Gomez is awful. robbo not playing well. IMO Allison and Tsimikas are the only two playing anyway near good enough. Sad times, reminds me of Hodgson era.

Its called stagnation mate and that set in as soon as we won the league in 2020 and here we are.

And we call others “plastics”. Some need to take a good long look at themselves.

And here we are, FA Cup holders, League Cup holders and competing in the Champions League.
Disgraceful!

Yes Rigsby but we were League holders and CL holders, World Club Championship holders so I'm sure you can see the regression? What do you say if we don't win anything this season? We nearly won the quadruple last year?

Regression?
We're still in the CL and the cups haven't kicked off yet.
Such melodrama!

Our number one aim this season was to win the league and that ship has already sailed after a quarter of the season. Other cups to play for but I am sure you expected a title challenge before we kicked off.

Flash, once we’ve been drawn against better opponents in the champions league at the knock our stages, we’ll be sent packing (see the Napoli game) .

We’re already out of contention for the title, as we don’t have the players capable of being able to go on any sort of run and be honest, only winning 4 league games out of 11 is not exactly champions league qualifying form, is it?

Of course if you think that’s progression then good for you. I’m truly happy for you.

As for the cups, if we finish outside the top four and all we had to show for the season was one or both of them that would be regression.

We still in the league too. 15 points off last Christmas. That’s where the mentality monsters came from they deal with pressure unlike some of you lot. My team are going through a bad patch there are a lot of haters out there who have been praying for times like this throwing the boot in I won’t kick my team when they down. You lot who do are a disgrace. 12 games ago we won the charity shield, 13 games ago we narrowly lost the champions league final 14 games ago we was so close to winning the league ( we done our bit) and last week we beat the team you all want to give the league to today! 3 months it’s took yous to turn on ya own team! Short memories YNWA.

I think we just now need to realise our time has been and gone it has been fantastic these last 5 years, thrilling in fact. We played exciting football and won major trophies. We have seen players go from being half decent footballers to world beaters. It is just a shame we couldn’t build on the success and keep pushing forward. In fact the frustration I and many of us feel is due to the fact we have not managed to do this while in a perfect position to do so. Instead somehow between Klopp and the owners it seems they intended to take a step back and take their foot of the gas. It is a crying shame they have let this happen but I think we now need to realise our place again and get behind the lads and be happy with a win here and there. We got too used to winning it seems we now can’t handle a few losses. I have over reacted in many posts because of my disappointment in how far we have fallen but I am now over it. I happily supported us perfectly well through all those years of Man Utd domination and never reacted to losing a game the way I have lately. I need to remember win or lose Liverpool football club will always be my first love and nothing will change that. The joy this club has brought me in my 35 years is priceless and I am sure there are going to be many more amazing Anfield nights and memories. Come on you red men!

The squad needs some refreshing, partly due to Naby, Ox, Adrian, Milner and perhaps Jones and Gomez needing replacing. This is normal for any club, and something Fergie was brilliant at, although the game was different then.
I'm not sure if anyone is allowed to mention caffeine doping but it cycles as a year on, year off process, with this season being a year off.

This pattern has been fairly evident for the past few years.

In my opinion if Gomez is replaced with a robust and non injury prone, top quality CB and the MF is attended to, the squad will be as good as any in the world once again (its not far off now) .

I will say it again, this time to Flashthered. What will you say IF we end up with no trophies this year?

13.) 24 Oct 2022
24 Oct 2022 09:58:27
Come on John. Charity shield is not a trophy. We lost to a poor Marid side and we lost the league that we should have won. The players gave everything and it was a great effort. But now all of them bar Allison are playing very badly, the answer can’t be carry on as we are. Do you watch the games we are lacking fight, hunger, desire. We are behind, and got beat up by Man U for goodness sake.

Our regression is not irreversible, Irish.
We had an underwhelming transfer window and have a load of injuries and experienced players out of form.
We need to put this right and Klopp will be trying to do that. He has done it before and none of us really know the day to day processes of putting things right with transfers, injuries and lack of form, do we?

15.) 24 Oct 2022
24 Oct 2022 10:26:33
That’s true Rigsby Fabs might be playing with an injury, as an example. There could be hundreds of reasons that we don’t know about to explain our poor play. Maybe there has been a big falling out within the squad.

Markp08. Charity shield is a day out at Wembley I don’t know how many teams enter fa cup but probably over a 100 so there is at least 98 other teams who would swap with us. The players are down atm it’s took a lot out of them, bit like when relationships break down It hurts and takes bit of time to pick yourself back up. Trent got the weight of the city on his shoulders, So stop pointing out there mistakes we’ve seen glimpses ( beating city last week, thought we should of beat Arsenal or at least took a point) getting beat by Utd is no shame, they got a decent squad.

{Ed001's Note - 732 teams entered the FA Cup according to the FA.}

732 I would never guessed that many. Thanks ed01. I stand corrected mark 730 teams would swap places.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}
