Great review seano, I've really enjoyed your takes on the games you've done.

I thought Chelsea out liverpooled us, pressed high, hunted in packs and didn't give our defenders or mids any time on the ball.

The abuse milner is getting elsewhere I find strange, I thought he was singlehandedly trying to stop their midfield running the show.

Was good to see Jones on the pitch yesterday. Desperately missing Thiago, at the moment, so the sooner he's back the better.
Interesting to see how strong we go on Thursday. I've always been a believer in taking domestic cups seriously, though I know I'm in the minority. Having made it to the semis, why not go as strong as we can, with maybe just a couple of tweaks.

A cracking read if a tad harsh, I think we've seen the best of Mane, yesterday aside, Keita's too inconsistent and our bench looked very light. A tricky couple o weeks ahead during the AFCON now.

imo, Milner and to a lesser extent Henderson's problem in the first half is they seemed to start from a relatively deep position when Chelsea had the ball at the back, and then tried to move from there forward to press Kante and Kovacic when they got the ball. But they weren't getting there in time so the ball was being moved past them. That allowed Chelsea to get players between the lines and overload one side of our back 4, especially early on in the half. The early Pulisic chance came from Trent being pulled across into the left hand channel.

I think Ljinders sorted it somewhat at HT which is why we started the 2nd half with much more control. It was indeed noticeable when Millie was subbed for The Shirker. But I guess he can't do 90 minutes in an intense game anymore.

I get what you're saying Rome, but the team that got us to the semis should be given the chance to get us to the final. They worked hard to get us there, why should they be dropped.

I think the absolute refusal of Henderson to help Trent out at the back is costing us. He jogs back and constantly leaves him 2 on 1.

Sean great review mate, suggestion for you to do by our review in your own style and not set out in exactly the same way as Ed’s, maybe add ratings. Just so it’s something different for our eyes to look at.
