ed do you see Thiago looking like a Liverpool player once we have Fabinho and Henderson back in midfield or can you not see it working for him? Strange one, I had him as top 5 midfielders in the world before he came but he has been a massive disappointment, can see Henderson getting visibly frustrated with him.

For me, if the Ox is fit I think our best midfield is Fabinho, Thiago and the Ox. I know Hendo's organisational skills are so vital but in a fully fit squad I don't think he brings as much to our midfield as the other in terms of play.

Galway_ref54. Thiago had no adjustment period. Got injured and was out for how many months. Then had to play in such an unbalanced midfield in a position he is not familiar with. This has led to him coming back and making stupid challenges, which is not his game at all. Once Fab and Hendo are back in midfield and VVD is back in defence, you will see the best of Thiago. Ox prior to his injury was actually a main stay in the team. Having said that since he came back he has not been the same. Whether he gets back to that level I’m not sure, which is a shame given his form before the Roma game back in 2018.

Thiago has no doubt been disappointing and his decision making is absolutely amateur at times for someone with his experience.
That being said he was bought to play in a team with 2 of the best midfielders in the league alongside him and the best CB partnership in the league behind him leaving him free to supply the best frontline trio in the world.
He’s ended up having to run the midfield alongside squad players with his midfield partners at CB with the normally deadly trio up front misfiring.
Im sure he’ll be an asset when we can actually play him in the role he was bought for.

I think Our best midfield would consist of Thiago and Henderson as the advanced midfielders, with Fabinho playing the defensive midfield role. What do you guys think?
