Hi, reading a lot about vdd, lemar and ox coming to us before deadline. How true is it and if so what chance getting it done please? So far away don't know what to think. Thank you.

My 2c.
We're obviously wanting VVD bad - probably 50/ 50 if Southampton relent and decide to sell him or not. I suspect it'll happen though.
Lemar feels a good chance but the price is likely to be high - c.80m Euro perhaps. If we get him then Coutinho leaves for sure.
I suspect Ox is very likely to happen if Lemar doesn't sign, probably less so if we manage to get Lemar as they're quite similar from a positional perspective i. e. both attacking midfielders able to play on the wing. Not sure we need both.
I believe Couts will be leaving unless we fail to sign a replacement. With both Lemar and Ox in play that seems unlikely now.

Hi, just wondering from how philleppe coutinho's transfer saga has been so public and played out through media/ forums/ social media and not always cordial how the fans will react if he (hopefully) stays? Just some reactions i've read a lot of fans aren't that impressed with his attitude if true or not. Is it just a case of 1 goal down the kop end and he's back or more needed? Will everyone embrace him when back? Thank you.

Football fans are fickle. When he scores a couple of goals it will be forgotten. let's hope he stays, plays well and has a good season. Enjoy the memories and wish he all the best as it will all kick off again next summer and he will probably go. If it happens then just hope he goes early so we have time to get the replacement in and upto speed.

I will support him because he plays for my team, but Suarez didn't have a "back injury".
Coutinho has risked results for us by not making himself available like all good pros should.
What if we lost the two opening league games, got a poor result at Hoffenheim?

No, at the time Suarez was serving a ban for biting and unavailable till end of September. So your Back comment not really just to compare him with Suarez. Coutinho has been a wonderful servant for the Club.
I wiil support the shirt and the player bad back and all.

Suarez still showed up everyday to train.
Showed up and trained for when the time came to play.
Is PC training? Nope.
Is he banned? Nope.
Is he fit? I doubt it 100%.
I'm not defending either player, just a comparison.

Hi eds and fellow reds,
Thank you for all your contributions to this site so people like myself can learn more about the game and this great club. Coming from australia unfortunately i don't hear any rumours of substance to join in. May i please ask a question to all. Reading everything transfer wise is it the norm for players we want to drag out so long? Should i be worried we will miss our targets or is there a lot of work going behind closed doors. I hope we do get some players to strengthen our squad. Thank you for reading this, i know you are all well versed with the game.
