Count is a player I would like to see stay, I can understand that he has had his head turned by Barcelona, let's face it who would not be tempted. he will gather his thoughts back and get back on song, he will still be at LFC after jan I believe. We all should get behind him as we always do rather than jump on that ole bandwagon. Been a fan for 40 years and have seen how the club has changed aswell as the game itself and more annoying to me is how clubs conduct themselves this day and age and especially us. We used to do things with integrity and behind closed doors, shame shame shame. the game is going to implode with sky and money running the game. thinking off changing to tiddly winks it's chepaer (kidding)

I am a little disappointe we are losing Sterling i think in a few years he could be a great player, That being aid he has acted a total tit and the sooner he is gone the better no 1 player is bigger than the club,I would be interested to see now what we do with the funds and i'm hopeful we can get Rues (doubtful) and Benteke.Good job Eds btw from a new member

{Ed001's Note - welcome to the madhouse.}

I would love to know from Ed01, what actually went so wrong with the kid and the club. I am sure it's much worse than just a manager fall off which we have seen quite many in the past.

{Ed001's Note - just in with the wrong crowd. Bit like the problems with Gazza were that he had hangers on who just wanted him to buy their drinks. Sterling is surrounded by people who just want to make money from him or get their buzz on with him. They don't give a toss about him, they are just using him and he is too thick to see it.}

Well done Mukker. I totally agree with your assessment in that we are losing a good player. I'd go further in saying that we are losing our best player. Furthermore, we are losing a player who will very soon become a world class player. We may not like the way he has behaved but that does not detract from the fact that this lad is 20 odd years old. He has not reached anywhere nr his peak. How good were Ronaldo, Messi n Bale at this age? I think we need to put our silly pride to one side and acknowledge that City are getting one hell of a player. They may be paying for what they will be getting rather than what they are getting, but they will not be regretful of that. I now live nr Manchester n have many City mates, not one of them really rate him! But I have reassured them that he is class! ! Especially in a good team. Sometimes players only really get acknowledged as top class when they leave Liverpool. This lad will be one of them!!

I'd consider Henderson Sakho Lucas(When fit) Sturridge( When fit) Coutinho and probably Firmino all better players than Sterling atm. Oh and Can and Ibe have the potential to overtake him.

Sir.

Give me s beak, city are getting a potential at 50 mill, they are blowing their money on one to two players when in. Reality they need more than 6 first trainers.
Man city in all honest has no need of Sterling and it's the other way round as none would buy the kid.

Navas is a bloody good player. simple as that

I'm sure Ronaldo and Messi had a much better take on completion than 44% at 20. Would also say both most likely scored and assisted more at that age too. Sterling will never be in the same class as Ronnie or Messi. Think more along the lines of Ashley Young, Aaron Lennon a one trick pony who can't cross and has a rubbish shot also.

6.) 12 Jul 2015 21:32:37
Lallana is better than Sterling too

7.) 12 Jul 2015 21:45:58
Opinions will always be varied, but would you share that opinion if Sterling was staying? I mean, do you really believe in your comments? Sakho better than Sterling? A player that by your opinion is only 6th or 7th best in a team that finished 6th, is wanted by a team finishing 2nd for 50m! Whilst they are not interested in buying any of those BETTER 6 players for considerably less?! I'm a Liverpool fan of many years, blinkered by my love. but I would suggest that your blinkers are greater than mine!! Lucas would be the 1st player on my team sheet, but to suggest he is better than Sterling shows an interesting insight into your judgement.

Common ed01. Don't you think the kid is grown up to smell the reality happening around him?
He has a family and kids, drives a Ferrari and earns a pay week in week out. The kid must be either too clever to use himself to make money or an absolute dumb ( which I don't think so ).
He might make an year salary at city if he performs poor and then he would be shipped out just like that.

Don't you think he wouldn't make any noise at city? I think so.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea what you are trying to say.}

9.) 12 Jul 2015 20:52:05
Ed1 thanks for the insight mate. Good deal for LFC then?

{Ed001's Note - it does seem that way, unless something changes with the way he acts we are best of rid.}

It's been like that for years with Liverpool being linked to everyone.

Papers know they sell when they dream up players that Liverpool are willing to sign as we all fall for it.

It's always been a Liverpool thing as we had it too good for many years. It's only now we have started to fall down from the clouds with.realistic expectations.

{Ed002's Note - The world doesn't revolve around Liverpool - newspapers do not have employees who think that way.}

2.) 10 May 2015 12:32:04
Not just Liverpool I am sure but there is no doubt in my mind that 90% of the transfer stories in the papers are guesswork.
