Not a rumour but question for the Ed's and others - if Salah or diaz were to go would/ should/ will we go for Toney. Whatever system the new manager needs having a prem experienced and proved goal scorer will make the transition much more successful. Isn't Toney an LFC fan, for 50 million he would leave change for other signings and be great for us for 3 years.

He’s a useful player. But isn’t he 28? Spunking the majority of your budget on a player going into a new season where he turns 29 is just stupidity.

I'd go for Ollie Watkins before I'd go for Ivan Toney. Same age, but Watkins has been regularly progressing and is having his best year ever in goals and assists. Toney just has too much "baggage" as has been said.

Salah will never be replaced. We need to find other solutions in our attack and in the market.
Personally, Danns seems to be ready for 1st team football.
I predict next season he will be a regular if the new coach gives him game time.

Toney? I agree with 1jj. A Utd signing written all over it. Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd are welcome to him.

That’s why I said (2 much baggage) Toney or Watkins as an alternative would be clinical for us as strikers rather than risk another massive fee on another nunez. If Amorim comes in expect nunez to stay though as Will jota. Salah and diaz to leave along with other squad played and big earners.

The new manger will form his own view but personally I don’t think he will/ can accept Diaz or Nunez lack of clinical finishing. Diaz is a tricky winger with not enough end product, loses the ball too much and does not provide enoug assists. Nunez numbers are good and I like him but as has been evident in recent games his misses have meant we don't capitalise on our game control and then let teams back in to punish us. If I was the new manager I’d be saying we need better up top.
