Hi Ed, I've seen a fair few questions recently asking your opinions of players in the PL. I was wondering whether there are any players in sides outside of the top 6, which you think have the quality to play for a better team (i. e. a side challenging for the title)?

My suggestions would be Payet or someone a bit more left field like Bertrand.

{Ed001's Note - Leicester have Mahrez, Fuchs, Slimani and Okazaki. Possibly Mendy and Amartey as well.
Southampton have Fonte, Bertrand, Stephens (in the future), Hojbjerg, McQueen, Boufal.
West Ham have Lanzini, Edimilson and Fletcher. Payet has a poor attitude or he would be in the list.
Stoke have Butland (possibly), Arnautovic and Bojan.
Everton have Holgate and Gueye.
Swansea have Montero and possibly Mawson.
Watford have Deeney.
West Brom have Rondon.
Palace have Dann.
Bournemouth have Wilson.
Sunderland have Pickford and Kone.
Burnley have Heaton, Defour and Gray.
Boro have Gibson and Friend.
Hull have Robertson.}

I've always been surprised that Dann has not played for a bigger team - when Arsenal signed Gabriel and never looked at him I was shocked and would love to see him in red.

I know he's had a rough start to life there but I do rate Indi at Stoke from what I saw of him at Porto (which granted was maybe 5 games in total but still) .

Payet seems like someone that should be on this list as well.

Payet has always been a one season wonder at every club he`s been. Whether it be at St. Etienne, Lille or Marseille (now West Ham? ), he`s always had the one good season, which is normally the one that gets him a move. To me, he`s not good enough, doesn`t get stuck in, too inconsistent as he only shines when the team is performing. This explains the reason why he`s struggled this year, because WH are a mess.

You don't half talk nonsense sometimes ED, Payet has created the 3rd most chances in the whole of Europe this season and constantly works off the ball, I bet the only bit of west ham you have seen this season is on 10 minute MOTD highlights -if you speak to west ham fans you will all hear them say he isn't struggling, he is the one bright spark, he has donkeys in front of him who cannot finish.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, but all the West Ham fans, oh and a few of the coaching staff there too, that I have spoken to have all said he is not trying. You might want to check the West Ham site I have here, where the fans are moaning about him quite a bit. Or you could remove your head from your backside and watch the matches, like I have done, as see him sat on the floor complaining for ten minutes, like he did in their last match, after he lost the ball and making no attempt to get up and help out the defence he left exposed. It is not the first time he has done so. Perhaps you may only watch MOTD, but I don't, I never watch it, I hate highlights as they pick out whatever suits their agenda.}

of course he is trying, that is such a nothing claim. You slate people for exaggerating then claim he was sat there for 10 minutes? I watch quite a bit of west ham as my dad supports them and every time I do he doesn't seem lazy to me for a team that doesn't use the genpress as heavily as us. Do you not think he is told to hold his position and stay forward to increase their chance creation in the final third? not every team presses and chases like Liverpool. Imagine how good he would be if he tried.

Bootlered you act and come across like you know what your talking about but you really have no idea and make yourself sound stupid. Give up, that hole your digging is getting deeper.

Many people come here for the incredible knowledge of the eds, especially ed1 and 2. Before coming to this site I used to read the back of newspapers/ news sites and it's incredible how little they know compared to these eds here.

You give them abuse yet obviously you keep trying to come back. I think you just like the sound of your own voice.

To me the eds here don't get the respect they deserve and idiots like yourself don't deserve to be on such a website. People are quick to forget at times these eds do this voluntarily and I for one am VERY grateful especially to you ed1 your text/ articles make more sense then any other I've ever read football related. Same goes to ed2 in regards to her incredible transfer/ player knowledge. It's appreciated by the majority know that. Shame you have to put up with idiots like that guy from time to time.

I share your exact sentiments, LFC16. The Ed`s are the reason I am much smarter when it comes to football matters in general than when I first arrived here 4 years ago and it`s all thanks to the great work of the Ed`s.
