It's such a shame the way the season has finished after all the optimism but some of the post on here about Klopp are ridiculous and coming from some people who over a month ago were waxing lyrical about him. I did start to believe a few weeks back that it could be our season and we might get the fairytale we all wanted and this optimism was that we weren't actually playing great football but were grinding out results, so the hope was building. I'm as disappointed as anyone about the past few weeks but the truth is I think we have overachieved under Klopp for many years. There were times when we didn't invest to build the squad when we should have done. don't know if this was FSG or Klopp or both but what I do know is we have had a fantastic journey and we should give him the send off he deserves as we will miss him and he is leaving behind a very talented young team and let's just hope the new manager can take us forward and let's get behind him but not forget Jurgen and everything he has done for this team and us supporters.

Invest and build in a squad is the problem now? So if we had more players would it of fixed this slow poession based, backward passing no plan b method from klopp? If you had a business, and the manager you have in charge in moaning for the last 2 years about being tired and that his wife wants him home to do the laundry, would you place millions of $ at his disposal knowing full well that there is a change coming soon?

I’m not sure how you can say Klopp overachieved. 1 premier league (could easily have won 3/ 4) and 1 champions league (could easily have won 2 champos and 2 Europas) . People are too busy framing it versus what came before and on relative terms rather than the absolute.

Mick, you have to take into context that domestically, Klopp was competing against a team funded by an entire nation state who have allegations of cheating hanging above them. No other team has had to go into a title race against that. It’s like racing against Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France whilst he’s juiced up and riding a motorbike.

There was an interesting stat during the game, we are well ahead of the top 4 in shots on goal by a long way. Bearing this in mind and with all due respect to our front men, with a natural goalscorer which are rare i think we are in with a shout and could have won the lge. Gakpo and Gravenberch were good today, the foul on Macca was a yellow minimum, that decision stank apparantly the player did not use enough force for it to be a clear and obvious error by the ref. What was they wanting a broken leg? Blood, Macca subbed?

We are having 20-30 attempts per game. It’s not klopps fault they can’t hit the back of the net. We annihilated Utd twice and couldn’t score, we annihilated the best team in Europe in the second half and couldn’t score.

All this guy can do is smile, like show some emotion man, the team feeds off the manager, klopp is actually happy when the opponents get a goal. It was a huge mistake making the announcement so early of him leaving but it was a bigger mistake keeping him in charge when he wasnt interested and had no ambition and drive to achieve anything this season.

Under a manager that is hungry for success you will see these players come alive again, right now they all look as clueless as klopp is.

The legend klopp has turned into a failure. Thanks for the memories but don't let the door hit you on your way out, he is a manager that is happy with being a runner up and lacks the ambitionbof being at the top and staying there. I am really upset at how he has destroyed such a force that he helped create.
