Getting pumped 3-0 in any game isn’t good. Point remains, Henderson or Milner as a defensive anchor simply doesn’t work. In a competitive game we’d be getting done worse than this.

I don’t think scoring goals will be a problem. But defending starts from the middle of the pitch and they’ve dominated us. Jeez, being dominated by McFred. Thank **** it’s a friendly and not a real game.

We’ve never scored heavily from midfield during Klopp’s tenure. Midfield is about getting the ball back and defending rather than creating. Putting a goal scoring midfielder wil create an imbalance and place too much pressure on our central defenders as our full backs are fundamentally where the creativity comes from.

MFDOOM To beat Mancity you need goalscoring midfielders too.. they are going to score 90+ points , so we need to be good.. i don't think klopps style prevents midfielders from shooting, our midfielders rarely get to box and shoots, even when opposition 11 is in their on box..

To have beaten man city last year, we shouldn’t have dropped cheap points against Brighton, Leicester, West Ham or Brighton. That’s where we lost the midfield battles win any of those games and we’d have been champions.

Diaz is capable of getting 10+ Salah I’d expect 20+, Nunez I think should get 20+ and Jota 15+ so scoring isn’t the issue. Scoring goals might win games but good defences and midfields win titles.

Elliot and Curtis are more than able to do what Ox and Keita do. Personally I think we need some more bite in midfield, Tchouameni would have been great, but we missed out there. Personally I’d go for Sangare. Big physical unit who tackles like a monster and weighs in with a few goals.

He always looks like a player who's a knock away from calling bench.. i still think Darwin Nunez is bit raw to score 20+ goals in first season.. i don't think diaz might score 15+ either. I only count on jota and salah to be frank.. I mean our players are good but that sounds bit far fetched
