Hi eds, was just wondering if the interest that we held in Matthew Ryan still stands. from what i have seen looks a good keeper and would either push migs for first team spot or just knock migs clean out the way, he has been interviewed and said that a move to Anfield would be a move he is interested in.

thanks

{Ed001's Note - last I heard, despite his desperation to get a move to Liverpool, it was not happening.}

Hi eds and reds, hope everyone is well.

Seen a report saying andre ayew is apparently close to agreeing a pre contract agreement.

Any truth in this i know we have been after him before and he is supposed to be a liverepool fan.

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Last summer saw some interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Dynamo Kyiv. Liverpool also enquired after a guideline price for the player last summer. Recently Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg have made enquiries. Marseille discussed the player with Spurs an offer from Napoli was rejected in January but the player will look to move in the summer once free of his contractual ties. I am told Biesla wants him to stay but others want him out. The player has suggested he would like to move on to a "better" side and cited Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona as ideal destinations - he will be waiting a long time for that.}

Hi eds and reds,

just a few players i'd like to ask about, first of all I've seen a few reports not twitter saying we are now watching daley blind for an alternative to Moreno, is there any truth to this?

another report again not twitter saying we are "ready to bid 27mil for Alexis Sanchez" again any truth?

and finally obviously lazy journos but thought I would ask Roberto firmino reports suggest that we have opened talks to sign him, any truth?

thanks again

{Ed002's Note - A year or two back Liverpool took a look at Daley Blind but did not follow up. There was interest from Hannover 96 in January and Hamburg both in January and again recently. Chelsea spoke with Ajax about the player as an option for their left back problem and his agent would like to talk to Manchester United - but they have not made any approach yet.

There has been some interest from Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on and would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. There have been discussions Juventus in respect of Sanchez and there is no secret that his agent has confirmed that they would be willing to meet the terms that the player desires. However, they are far from agreeing a figure with Barcelona for the sale - very far indeed. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on for a very significant fee or would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. Barcelona were looking to replace Fabregas with Vidal and were looking to that as an option whilst there is such a difference between what is being asked and what is being offered. However, with talks dragging on and Juventus wanting to keep Vidal their attention shifted from Vidal to Koke and then to Rakitic.

Firmino agreed an extension recently but will very likely move in the summer with Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar, Zenit, Inter, Manchester United and Schalke interested - but Dortmund pushing for a deal. I am aware that Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool have also looked at Firmino but have not declared interest with his agent. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton. May well be first choice to replace Alexis Sanchez.}

Hi eds and Reds,

reading this morning about a possible deal for hatem ben arfa, obviously him and pardew don't get along he's banned from training, he was one of the most talked about up coming French players a few years back, would you see this deal happening I think he would be a decent back up player what are your thoughts?

metro is the source so not so confident but thought I would post.

{Ed002's Note - Newcastle has done a fantastic job in sorting out Ben Arfa over the past 2 years but again issues are arising. There was a time when it looked like Marseille were just going to give up on him. I recall my wife saying that Bursaspor offered to take him on loan and it was seriously considered before his moving to Newcastle. Arsenal and Schalke have previously an interest but if Newcastle were to make the player available this summer then I would think PSG would be the desired destination for Ben Arfa. I know nothing of any interest from Liverpool at this time.}

Hi eds, hope all is well with yourselves, just wondering about these links we have for georginio wijnaldum, of psv, I've just seen that psv are on the verge of signing Bryan ruiz, now would that open up the door for our rumoured 9m pound bid to go through and sign a very talented player who would surely give us an extra dimension in going forward.

thank you

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath about Wijnaldum arriving in January.}

Ho eds and reds,

First post for a while, was just wondering that with klopp clearely happy to use the youngsters if he feels they are good enough, do you believe that Allan could be in for a cameo any time soon?

Believe that he was impressive in finland (massive difference in quality of league and players) he scored twice and had 5 assists in about 13 games i believe.

Any reply would be appreciated.

mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - No, he doesn't have a work permit.}

Hi eds. Was just wondering how reliable sport mediaset are. They are talking about higuain pleading with napoli to accept a bid from liverpool should one be made. Also is higuain a viable option?

Thanks

mcarroll92

1.) 29 Jun 2015 19:29:15
Surely the story itself answers how reliable they are. Why and when would Higuian be at all interested?

Eds and reds,

Reading 2 or 3 reports this morning of us looking at lucas ocampos as a sterling replacement.

I know that reports have said a few players as his replacement but was wondering what your take is on it.

1.) 18 Jun 2015 13:34:35
Seen him play a lot. Very good dribbler but poor end product

2.) 18 Jun 2015 17:48:50
Who redohio? Sterling or Ocampos

3.) 18 Jun 2015 20:40:04
Ocampos

4.) 19 Jun 2015 04:19:58
Son Heung Min roughly similar price to Ocampos maybe a bit more, better finisher.

Thanks for the reply about vidal eds, i though he would be out of reach tbh.

A question about management, according to german radio klopp is set to sign for madrid which means carlo could be available (probably city bound).

I personally think the club needs to go back to the days of shankly. He got a team in place that the managerial job would be handed down to in order to keep consistency and a family feel to the club. I would really like to see this and think it would work and be successful. Maybe rafa with hyypia as assistant, then hyypia with gerrard and then gerrard with whoever he sees fit. This could stop the transition period we seem to be stuck in. And the players that would play under this may feel more stable a club they are in. I know people don't like rafa i'm not his greatest fan but think he attracts players and could steady the ship

mcarroll92

{Ed001's Note - I don't think that would work to be honest.}

1.) 19 May 2015 17:47:53
Apparently the German radio station that story comes from doesn't actually exist according to other media.

2.) 19 May 2015 18:24:51
Deutschlandradio is a very real radio station. Don't be ridiculous.

3.) 19 May 2015 18:58:34
That's not the original radio station that is supposedly the source. The original one doesn't exist.

Eds, been reading that vidal has been linked i believe this to be papers looking for a story to sell papers because of stevie leaving.

My question is could vidal be a viable option can't imagine him being cheap but the figure floated round seems to be not what you would expect.

Thanks

mcarroll92

{Ed001's Note - Arturo Vidal? Only in my wet dreams. We should have gone for him years ago but no one listened back then when I raved about him. Now he is established as a world star we have no chance, even with his knee problems.}
