Hey Eds
Have you heard anything about Baez and whether or not we're still interested?

Thanks in advance

hard werk and a good mentality

{Ed002's Note - I dealt with this, but once more: Liverpool have been told that they need to say if they are still interested in Baez or not - and if they are to make an offer which is much improved over that offered to Juventud previously. He has apparently told Liverpool that there is growing interest from other clubs and to make their mind up.}

Do you know how long they have to make the decision as to whether or not they want to sign him

{Ed002's Note - Give me a break.}

Hey Ed's any updates on Mitrovic. I remember Ed002 saying that scouts went to see Anderlecht play but were more likely looking at Praet's progress instead.Can you confirm either way.

Thanks in advance

hard werk and a good mentality

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Aleksandar Mitrović from Swansea, Dortmund, Newcastle and Eintracht Frankfurt. The interest of Leicester and Bayern Munich seems to have gone.}

Manchester City, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Tottenham have declared an interest in Anderlecht's Dennis Praet who has said in the past that he favours Arsenal, although they are seemingly less keen now. Interest remains from Ajax, Hoffenheim and Dynamo Moscow. Sevilla and Valencia have had bids rejected. Arsenal and Liverpool have looked at the player on a number of occasions but any move seems unlikely.

Is anyone else worried that we don't have enough defenders who are strong in the air and can deal with aerial crosses. Fear that we will struggle against teams like stoke because of their physical and aerial strengths.

hard werk and a good mentality

{Ed030's Note - Then we should try to keep to the strengths of our team, Keep the ball on the floor as much as possible and pressure players so they can not play the long ball. Also if corners are defended correctly, the element of players being bigger than others doesn't really have much of an impact. }

1.) 26 Jun 2015 16:22:12
Defending aerial balls is all about attitude and determination as well as tactical awareness and constant work on the trainingpitch. If you`re not doing any of that, it doesn`t matter how big you are, you will struggle. under BR, it seems we don`t work on that enuff hence, the struggles we have had since he`s been here. A good example of my point is Fabio Carnavaro who was of average height at best YET he was devastating in the air. Ivan Zamorano was the same hence his nickname, "The Helicopter". Attitude is the key.

2.) 26 Jun 2015 17:06:03
Part of the problem is we don't stop crosses coming in,hence it's like an hand- grenade coming in,then panic sets in and all hell breaks loose normally ending with a shot at goal. or heaven forbid a goal,RODGERS is the problem he does not know the basics of defending,all the teams he's managed have conceded goals,go and check the stats.

3.) 26 Jun 2015 17:55:58
What do you mean All the teams he managed? He only managed Reading for a couple of months,then went on to Swansea followed by us

4.) 26 Jun 2015 18:30:12
Watford as well.

5.) 26 Jun 2015 18:39:44
No! He was also at Watford. And he played the same boring system at Reading with poor results and the owner got tired of hearing his mouth about things being better whereas they were getting worse and finally, the owner sacked him. Google Mr Madejski`s comments and see for your self because I have read them.

6.) 26 Jun 2015 20:09:06
Aerial balls rely on goalkeepers and there command of the box. We will have this problem whilst Mignolet is our number 1.

Hey Edds

Is there any other updates from the list of players that we have shown an interest in?

Thanks in advance

Hi Eds
I remember earlier on in the season when we were playing badly it was looking likely that Rodgers would leave at the end of the season if not before. Have the better performances of late given him more time or do you think it's top 4 or bust for him?

Thanks in advance

hard werk and a good mentality

{Ed002's Note - I answered this earlier.}

1.) 17 Mar 2015 23:03:57
He is on his way to keeping his job BUT FSG will still provide him with a framework under which he will have to work (DOF and other stuff). If BR does accept the help, he stays. If not, he goes.

2.) 18 Mar 2015 09:26:43
If they finish the season with nothing and outside the top four then he is gone for sure.

If they finish the season inside the top four and/or win the FA cup then he will probably remain, but be told he is to accept a DoF and work under him as purely head coach.

It is blatantly apparent that leaving things as they are is not an option.

3.) 19 Mar 2015 08:32:14
I think he stays regardless.
